I needed help with my English class and my tutor helped me go from a C- to an A. Very good.
Not only was Wendi a knowledgable tutor, she made the whole experience easy. Just from our first lesson I've gained confidence in multiple subjects. I'm looking forward to continuous progress and development pertaining to the ACT.
Greatly positive and highly capable English tutor! Victoria is one of the best English tutors I have ever met. She is very patient, positive and energetic tutor who can work with any level of English learners. She is also very knowledgeable and skillful writing tutor in various subjects such as politics, culture, social issue and business etc. I used be a 'C' student from my English composition class, but she helped me to improve my weak points of writing and guided to build a strong firm foundation of college essay writing. I highly recommend Victoria as a tutor to whoever needs help in writing or leaning English. She is the best of the best.
Laura is very proficient with coaching English as a second language. She will teach you the skills to interact with people (e.g.: in your line of business when you are in their country) who speak other languages. The skills include learning to be comfortable with the second language, and not just with the words themselves.
Allison has been working with my 6th grade daughter tutoring her in math and i cant believe the difference in such a short time. Its so nice to see my child have a level of confidence when it comes to math that she has never had before
Suzanne has been my daughter's tutor for the past ten years. She very quickly tapped into her strengths and interests to provide fun ways to improve her language arts skills. Suzanne's special education background, in addition to her patient and kind personality have made her an excellent teacher. My daughter has absolutely loved going to "tutoring" all these years!
The best part of Ramonas tutoring was the possibility to write her a message any time of the day (or night ...) if i had trouble with my homework. I really recommend her!
Our son has been working with Carol for over 6 months preparing for the ACT test and also receiving subject-area tutoring in geometry, English/Reading and Earth Science. Carol is very professional, extremely smart, wonderful to work with and has demonstrated her ability to work effectively with secondary students at all skill levels, including those with special needs and current IEPs. Carol has helped our son prepare for the ACT in all subjects and provided detailed strategies, not only for test preparation, but for each element of the exam. She uses teaching, demonstration, practice and testing as an intertwined process that has really benefitted our son. Last semester, he earned a 4.0 for the first time and made the National Honor Society. Carol also is wonderful with homework, projects, and writing assignments. Her background in education is AMAZING. She not only has multiple degrees and certifications, but has an extremely high IQ, and has extensive knowledge of both high school and college curricula. We highly recommend Carol, and urge others to utilize her expertise, experience and her wonderful personality with kids for all your family's tutoring and testing needs. Miss. Kolterman did a great job. She tutors to my girls and my girls improve a lot on their subjects.
We wanted my 7th grade son to strengthen his writing skills over the summer. With high school quickly approaching, we were hoping for him to enter with solid writing skills so his focus could be on the content of his work without struggles with language and structure. Kendra Hadnott was the perfect person to help him with this. Every part of her process is unique and customized. We started with a meeting to define our goals. Not only did she focus on our objectives, but also our child’s overall interests. He is obsessed with soccer and it was exciting as we sat down the next week to go over her tutoring plan for the summer how she incorporated reading and writing work that included his favorite soccer players, his friends, current teen technology, and more. He was thrilled to write about these topics and was really engaged in her lessons. Throughout the summer they worked on everything from spelling, vocabulary, grammar, language use, sentence structure, and essay structure. Each time they met I received a progress report on his accomplishments. He went into eighth grade with improved confidence and it showed in his writing. He tested into Honors English at OPRF and we are certain that Kendra’s tutoring helped to get him to that level. He will continue to work with her this summer to be certain he will hit the ground running next year. I highly recommend Kendra for your child’s tutoring. She is extremely professional, engaging, and it is evident that working with children is her calling.

I asked Cindy to help me improve my Spanish, and that's exactly what she did. A foreign language did not come easy to me, but Cindy' approach and her infinite patience helped me to succeed.
Marissa was an excellent tutor! She helped me with my English homework and because of her I got a much better grade in the class. I feel like I am a better writer because of her and I use the skills she gave me in all of my writing assignments now. She was incredibly professional but also very friendly and easy to talk to. Essay writing is now so much easier for me because of the the things Marissa taught me. I would recommend Marissa as a tutor to anyone looking to improve their writing.

I am a Chicago Public School teacher who has worked in a high achieving northside school for almost a decade. I am well versed in both the NWEA Maps test and the selective enrollment test and can provide prep for those exams.
I was a home-school mom for over 10 years. So, although I am not a certified teacher, I am a mother who taught and directed three children in how to learn and learn independently. Primary grades are my specialty, especially reading skills, foundational math principles, spelling, and English language basics. While I home educated, Ive managed an apartment building in Chicago, part-time. I have been managing this property for 24 years. It is a part-time position, and I am seeking additional work at this time. I really like kids (our house is too quiet), and I enjoy helping them get excited about reading and learning. Let me help your kids to lay the solid foundation they will need to love learning for the rest of their lives.
I am a Chicago based writer and translator. I enjoy helping businesses and professionals connect with the large Hispanic community in the Chicagoland area. I am a proud alumni of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign were I used my language skills to tutor students to excellent grades in their Spanish class. I am dedicated to helping you accomplish your goals, and can guarantee you will be satisfied by my work.
I enjoy helping others expand their knowledge. Enjoying what I do makes the experience natural and easy going.
I have taught reading, writing, thinking, speaking, listening, critical thinking for the past fifteen years. I also have a daughter in school, so I can see both sides of the education system. Fun works. Rigor works. Students having a voice works. I can help people navigate grades, tests, and most of all learning! I have also begun writing digital curriculum, pushing my thinking about how to design and measure learning. I would love to write more curriculum that works as games do.
