I have been working with Jeanette for 3 years now and she is amazing!! I can't say enough great things about her! She uses all of the best tricks to keep French lessons fun and interesting: songs, movies and news articles. She is very patient with my pronunciations and helping me sound like a Parisian! Jeanette is the best French tutor in Chicago!
Elina is great - just the right person to teach me French!
Eric has helped me improve my writing skills throughout undergrad as a French minor and throughout my first year of law school! I feel comfortable going over my drafts with him because I know he will respectfully tell me how I can improve while helping me be as clear and concise as possible. Practicing French with him is both fun and informative. Whether it's singing traditional French songs together or having everyday conversations, his zest for languages has helped me keep my French alive!
Our daughter has been taking piano lessons from Dennis for about 10 years now. She started lessons at the Zion Conservatory and now enjoys lessons from our home. Dennis was very accommodating when we had to relocate to Racine County. Through the instruction provided by Dennis, she has developed a solid foundation of music theory, technical skills and a passion for music. We would recommend Dennis to anyone interested seeking a piano instructor.
My wife really enjoyed working her ESL classes with Leisa. She has a lot of experience and knows very well her job. I would recommend her to anyone who want to learn English.
I had a great experince taking accent reduction lessons with Cindy. She is very clear when teaching the matrials. I am very happy that I learned new ways to sound words that I used to say them wrong.
I've taken lessons from Natacha in Haitian Creole for a couple of years. She is a very smart and caring instructor who works at the level of the student, but challenges them as well. She is also very talented in the design of paper greeting cards and makes beautiful memory books, too!
Loubna was outstanding! I have tried other tutors but they don't compare to her abilities! Thank you Lou for teaching me ;-)

My rates are as follows: - $40/hr. at a student's home within 10 miles of Wood Dale, IL - $20/hr. at my studio in Wood Dale - $15/30-minute lesson via Skype I am a guitar teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching all different styles of music, including blues, folk, acoustic, funk, ska, rock, metal, melodic, country, classical, punk, alternative, and various other melodies. I have played concerts all over the state of Illinois, and I have taught many students throughout the years. I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced players. I am very passionate at what I do, and I will guide you through the proper steps in becoming a great guitar player. Playing music takes a lot of time and patience as well as a lot of practice playing by yourself and in front of people. I am very relaxed and motivated to help my students learn, and I will guide you through everything. I would prefer that students bring their own guitars, so that you would be more comfortable playing their own instrument. If you can't or do not have one, I have guitars here that you may use but during our sessions only. Check out my video. With a lot of practice and a lot of studying, I can show you how to play like a pro and have fun! Lesson Details In my curriculum, students will start off by learning the basics of the guitar, knowing the parts and accessories and so forth. Then, we will move on to tuning and perfect pitch. As we move on, students will learn how to build and maintain a rhythm. Learning how to play chords is essential, and we will be going through chord progressions and how to recognize and memorize the various chords. Furthermore, I will be showing students how to read tabs and write music. I will be showing students the different types of scales there as well as the keys that they are in for those who want to become soloists. I will also be teaching different techniques that are incorporated with tapping on the fretboard as well as various other techniques. All of these lessons will be taught in our private sessions, and each student will receive homework assignments, so that he/she can go home and practice what he/she has learned. I will be having tests later on, in which I would ask you to play one of your favorite songs. With enough time spent practicing, you can become a master of your instrument. Studio Equipment Basement studio: amps, guitars, wah pedals, music stands, guitar picks, and music sheets. Travel Equipment I have an amp, wires, picks, guitars, gig bag, case, music sheets, picks, and music stands.
