My son has been taking drum lessons from Jonathan for a few months now and we couldn't be more pleased! Jonathan is so accommodating if we need to change lesson times to fit in other activities. He incorporates different types of music that keeps my teen interested and excited about learning!
Owner responded quickly. After looking at informative website and videos on instructors, i went in for trial lesson with Mikial. great experience! my 8 year old daughter is doing great with her electric guitar lessons and loves her teacher! A great fit!
I been taking lessons from Andrew for a little over a month. He's extremely knowledgeable, patient and proficient in numerous music genres. I really appreciate this given that I am an older student with varied musical interests. I look forward to learning a lot!
Jared is an amazing instructor. He is very good at teaching and breaking down complicated lessons so I can practice them on my own. His lessons are a mix of what he feels I am capable of learning, while incorporating styles and beats that I am interested in learning. The 1 hour lessons go by so fast, and often times Jared would continue the lesson past an hour if he didn't have another student after me. He is very friendly and fun to be around.
My daughter was quite young when she started taking lessons from John, he did an amazing job if pulling her out of her shell and increasing her desire to play music. He was easy to work with on scheduling lessons. She took drum lessons and then piano. John did a great job!
Nick was great! He was patient, knowledgable and polite. He gave me a couple of things to practice. I love it. Working on getting my fingers used to playing. Enjoying the practice till the next lesson. I hope to get better before he comes back with more. Thanks.
He is very patient, and he has lots of experience teaching guitar. He can customize his class for different students.

Aaron Chandler has my highest recommendation as a guitar teacher. He is, first of all, a highly skilled and experienced guitarist who can play impressively in just about any style. A former Jacobs School of Music student, he also has a thorough knowledge of music theory and is highly skilled at explaining even baffling theoretical complexities in a way students can understand. Most importantly, Aaron teaches his students how to practice effectively. You learn how to improve on the guitar. His students can reach any goals they set for themselves if they’re willing to put in the work. Aaron is also extremely patient. He tailors his teaching to the student. He is approachable, flexible, and is willing to take on just about anything a student is interested in. I've learned a tremendous amount from him & can play things I never would have been able to play before. ReWind Bloomington is also a great space to rehearse. It’s really the only space of its kind in Bloomington.
I can teach everything on guitar, from beginning to end. I can also explain many parts of theory and songwriting. I also have and played about 20 other weird and amazing instruments to teach you if you're interested! I'm just a chill dude, so don't be afraid to talk to me if you're interested because music is the greatest thing on earth. Let it be a part of your life, and it will make your life more livable and the people around you happier.
Since 1952, Arthur's Music Store has been in the same Historic Fountain Square area, and is still operated and owned by the Arthur family. Even though much has changed in the previous fifty years, the degree of personal service that Mr. Arthur imparted in his employees and family continues to give a high level of customer satisfaction today. While mainly a fretted instrument shop (stocking everything musical, except recording gear, organs, and pianos), Arthur's Music is popular for having a huge range of products, from hammered dulcimers to guitars. We are among the few Midwest stores where you can discover pedal steels, digeridoos and Irish tenor banjos alongside guitars, basses, drums, amps and P.A.s. Lessons are offered on all instruments we sell, from accordion to zither, as well as voice and theory. We even teach bagpipe! Arthur's Music offers on-site luthier and repair service, and stocks accessories and parts for do-it-yourself customizing and repairs. Our instructors team provide private music classes for most instruments here in the shop, as well as theory and voice. We're pretty easy goin' here, and don't work on commission, so you won't find high-pressure sales activities. We would like you to have fun, return often, and continue playing the music that you love!

I choose not to use identical methods for all of my students. The lessons generally follow a rough outline that I develop that is catered to each student's personal interest.
I have been playing the drums for over 25 years. Like many musicians, I got my start in the church. As I grew in my skills, so did my horizon, and I was blessed to play drums for several years in a touring rock band, performing 200-300 shows a year in 14 countries around the world. I learned a lot about drums, playing in a band, and the music industry in general. Now, I want to share my experience with others and help them discover the joy of being a drummer!
With 18 years teaching experience beginning while earning a degree in Education from Ball State, and holding a Doctor of Arts in Percussion Performance and Teaching–you can be sure that your instruction will be hand tailored to fit your needs.
I focus on what the student wants to become as a player. A lot of teachers have a cookie cutter type style of teaching that is good but often times it doesn't allow students to learn why they're doing what their doing. I show students how to find what makes them happy and instill the proper types of discipline necessary for what they want to become.
I have been playing the piano for 28 years and percussion for 18. I am now a stay-at-home mom looking to start teaching more music lessons!
I am Logan. I've taken several music theory classes. I took 2 years of private guitar lessons. I am also in an advanced choir class, and have been for 4 years. I teach guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, and vocal lessons. I want you and your children to know I will not teach songs, riffs, licks, bridges, or solos. I will teach you music; that way you can learn any song, riff, lick, bridge or solo you want. Then you can have that nice, warm feeling of accomplishment when you figure it out.
