My search for a personal trainer was for my 17 year old son. I was looking for someone who would zero in on specific training for the sport my son is in. Michael has surpasssed our expectations of training, listening and understanding my son's needs. Michael takes the time to know his clients and equip them with workouts that can easily be done at home to supplement what is being learned in the gym. The job was to provide personal training and nutrition advise as well as education that would allow me to reach my goals of being in better shape, looking better and feeling better. Training with the team at Barkes fitness has been great, I have had 3-4 personal trainers before and not clicked with them. You feel like an individual at this gym and not just a number like at a big box gym. They have great equipment and great trainers!
Never experienced anything like this before in a fitness Family. They care about you physically, mentally emotionally. I never feel judged about my abilities. The trainers work with you individually to get results. I have back issues and they worked my program to strengthen my back w/o feeling any discomfort while training. I have not had to use any pain meds in over 5 month because of the training from ARC. They are truly there for you any time you need them. Uplifting group of trainers. Not only do the trainers cheer on your success , but the other ARC clients cheer you on, lift you up if your down and make you feel cared about! 10 👍!!!!!!
Rich is an excellent trainer! Although I initially trained with him one-on-one for a few sessions at a fitness club, the majority of my training stemmed from participation in his 6 week boot camps. I didn't think he'd be able to work with me because of all the physical limitations I had, but he adjusted the tensity of the training to suit my individual needs. He never once made me feel like it was a chore to work with me - which was very important and impressive to a person like me who think she's "untrainable" - nor did he make me feel like I was less of a participant because I couldn't keep up with the rest of the class. He was extremely patient, very sincere, hardworking and always exhibited a positive and encouraging demeanor - all of the characteristics you'd look for and want in a true and serious personal trainer. There's no other like RIch Ford!
My doctor recommended Trainer Bob to help me get healthier. My weight was higher than I liked and my cholesterol and sugar were too high. Plus I have shoulder, back and knee problems. After working out with Trainer Bob, I am feeling 100% better. My weight, cholesterol, and sugar all went down into the normal range for the first time in 5 years. The chronic pain in my back, shoulders and knees has also greatly improved and is almost gone. I truly feel like I have a new lease on life. Since I was doing so much better, my husband decided to join me in the training sessions. We both go now and intend to make it a life long commitment with Trainer Bob. A BIG difference between Trainer Bob and other trainers is that you learn not just how to use the equipment properly, but he also keeps great records of your progress, teaches you about your health and muscle groups, how to do the appropriate stretches after each exercise, what foods to eat, etc. You walk away from his sessions a healthier and more knowledgeable person.
I have some major musculoskeletal problems and I am getting thorough, knowledgeable attention to my training. The program is changing day to day, always challenging but not overdoing it.
Jack has trained me and my husband for five years. I highly recommend him to anyone. He is a wonderful person and a great coach. He pushes us when we need it, but always in an affirming, positive way. Every training session my husband and I work hard, sweat and sometimes doubt our ability to do something, but we always end the workout with a smile and a feeling of satisfaction at having accomplished more than we thought we could. I have been training with Trish for 3 years. She has taught me so much and she continues to push me to become stronger and more dedicated. She comes up with the best workouts that match each individual’s fitness level and somehow makes the process enjoyable! I highly recommend her to anyone of any fitness level, from beginner to advanced.
I've really enjoyed my time training and have seen great results. I'm in better shape, have more energy, and the accountability that's built into the program helps me stay on track to meet my goals even when I have an off day. All of that, plus Janelle is a kind and professional person to work with. Everything is catered to the goals you have as the trainee. She learns how to push you in a way that is challenging and productive without leaving you feeling discouraged after a tough session, an issue I've struggled with since trying to get back in shape. I'm so excited we found her to work with!
Had a great year training under N2Fitness and Maurice. He was very nice and professional trainer and I look forward to future training with him. I have lost over 20 pounds so far and improved my eating habits.
Just an overall great person so it helps with his training. I think once you make connections with people you can get them to go the distance. Really humble man and puts God in everything he does so working with him is an opportunity people should take advantage of.
Danny and I have been working together for the past four months! He is flexible when I need to change my schedule, adjusts my workouts for any injury (NOT related to my training with him - but a running injury), provides we with things I can do at home, and is always pushing and encouraging! He is willing to laugh with me as I try to get this 60 year old body to find it's natural strength, increase my flexibility. and tone up!
Ryan kicks my ass in training!!! Although one of the most challenging full body work outs I've ever gotten, he always makes it fun and funny. He's got a great sense of humor but is very professional, punctual, and responsive to my needs as a trainee. I highly recommend Ryan if you're looking to change your relationship with fitness and get a kickass, fun workout.

I have been training at Hoffacker for over five years now. Their staff is very professional and takes a personal interest in my health and well being. Training sessions are tailored to my individual needs for that day, which not only keeps things fun but also speaks to their flexibility and knowledge of my strengths and weaknesses, injuries, or aches and pains. I would highly recommend them to anyone who truly is looking for a "personal" trainer.
I am an "older" client with spinal stenosis and sciatic pain. I have felt less pain since seeing Eric. He listens and acknowledges what I can do and not do, yet directs my sessions in order to strengthen my body. I am not an exerciser, but I am very comfortable during my time with Eric. He is one of the good guys with a very caring disposition and a professional attitude.
Bruce has been great in private training as well as in A12 group training. If you are looking to get healthy and strong Bruce can definitely make that happen!
This is a great facility with great programs but more importantly the owners are people who truly care about you and your health and well being. They are extremely knowledgeable and will help and encourage you throughout your journey. There is no such thing as a magic pill to take to instantly become fit. You have to work out more than once and eat a balanced diet for more than a day if you want to get into shape. At the Workhorse Gym you will get sound (and certified) nutritional advice, workout advice, instruction on how to properly and safely use resistance training to really up your fat burning game, and the best darn cheerleaders ever to help motivate you when you just aren't feeling it. This is a no judgement zone and I feel perfectly comfortable pouring my lumpy, bumpy gut into spandex leggings and getting my sweat on during a cardio kickboxing class or strength training. My lumpy is going away, I'm seeing booty gains, and I can always count on Ron to see when I am about to throw in the towel and give me that last little push and voice of encouragement to make it those last 30 seconds or lift that one last heavy rep.
Training Day 1 is a beast, but Kevin is very professional and will work hard.

I truly understand how it is to be overweight and feel like you don't know how to lose it or feel like it's hopeless because no one understands.
