Training with Jenise (BodyByJenise) has changed my life for the better! From the past two months I've worked out with her, I've definitely seen a huge difference in my body, eating habits, and overall energy. I use to workout in college but never remained consistent. Chris helped me train for about a month and I have learnt so much from the sessions. He taught me the basics of strength training and how I could combine that along with my cardio sessions. I was getting very bored of my treadmill and Chris encouraged me to try new techniques to boost my training so that i could get a kick out of my work outs! He introduced me to circuits. During the trainings he kept me motivated and pushed me to work hard. I toned my body doing just those exercises. He was a great trainer and kept me motivated all through.
Working with Rafael is great. Such a good trainer! He’s a very talented boxer, and he knows how to get you in shape fast! I was worried about the price at first, but their prices are actually the same as the Title boxing personal training costs. If they can meet me at my place when I have time, I don’t mind the rates.
My track record proves what he is about. 2015 Men's Open Bodybuilding Light heavyweight 4th place out of 11. 2016 off season with Rob he out 20lbs of muscle on my frame and got me to jump up a weight class in 2016 Bodybuilding. 1st place Heavyweight 2nd place overall. Current off season right now put on 12lbs of muscle in 2 months.. Rob is extremely punctual and responsive. Very knowledgeable and extremly kind. Soup is an all-star trainer. We discussed my goals and he set up a regiment to meet those goals. He made sure I was eating right and going to the gym on days that we didn't meet. He kept track of my macros through a shared app and followed up when I missed inputing in my food for the day. He kept me on track for my entire training period and even afterwards. He checks in all the time to see how my weight is and if i'm still eating right. He is legit and will make you a healthier person.
Derwent is the type of trainer others should aspire to be like. He is passionate about training clients and sets goals that challenge a person to meet and exceed their potential. He gives 100% of his attention and never appears to be rushing through the perscribed training program just to check the box and move on to the next client or task. He really cares about the success of his clients. Derwent is my professional trainer for life! I love the Renewed Fitness platform used to track workouts and check-in, in addition to being able to monitor my progress. My trainer can see what I'm doing and communicate with me in a timely manner. The video clips and other graphics that demo each exercise remind me to be focus of my form. I appreciate having the option to add exercises or move them to a different day when my schedule dictates.

I'm not one to write reviews, but because I'm passionate about working out, fitness and nutrition, I feel I should let others out there know what a great place Activate is for all of the above. I have been a member since it's inception and truly believe that it is different than any other facility or big box gym I've ever been a member of. At Activate you are not just another number or member but a person with individual needs. You are heard and encouraged to succeed whether it be from the staff (who are phenomenal by the way) or from other members who are also there to succeed. As a person who has struggled with my weight from my teens into adulthood, it has always been super-depressing to go from fitness center to fitness center and not achieve success. Even if I did achieve success, it was barely measurable, not to mention that I never learned anything about what is necessary to get results - appropriate nutrition and the kind of workouts needed for targeting fat loss. Like so many others, I was on the treadmill and elliptical wasting my time. Activate is the only place I have ever found true success with real, lasting weight loss and nutrition. The staff genuinely cares and encourages you to dig deep to get to the goals you set upon yourself. In February, I started working with Ken three times a week. He put together different workouts that worked on areas to target my mobility and strength. While at first, my goal was to get through the workout without having to stop, Ken now uses his creativity to make the progression moves harder, work every possible muscle, and get closer to my goals. Every day is different- in addition to circuit training, we have incorporated boxing, higher weights, and agility and footwork. I am still sore after each workout- that good sore, where you know you have put in work. When we reassessed after 5 weeks, I had gained 2 pounds of lean muscle, lost pounds of fat, and lost almost 7 percentage points of body fat. I have now upped to 4 times a week and absolutely look forward to my sessions every single time. I do my part- I show up and work hard, but I 110% attribute my results and gains, no matter the size, to Ken. Obviously the workouts show his knowledge of training, but more than that, they show his passion. Even if he writes in a move, he will often change it on the fly to make it more fun or utilize the equipment we have on hand to make it a total full body move. I sometimes have even heard other trainers say "I wish I had thought of that- I am going to use that move!" Having a trainer is investing in a relationship- and you need someone who invests back. I know that he genuinely wants to see me succeed- and nothing is cooler seeing him jump with excitement when I was able to do not 1- but 5 full pushups- at the end of the workout. His positive attitude and passion is contagious, and when you combine that with his knowledge of fitness and training- you really can't ask for more.
Tiffany helped me believe in myself , before meeting Tiffany I always wanted to exercise but had no idea what to do . I thought maybe if I got a gym membership that would be a good start , Well that really didn't work I was paying for a membership and not even stepping foot in the gym that lasted for about 2 years . Tiffany changed my life , before I could not look in the mirror and smile now that I know how to eat properly and exercise I can look in that mirror and see a big change in my body . It means a lot to me that Tiffany takes the time to make sure that you are getting the best workout possible and doing them correctly . I may occasionally say put that clip board away but , I enjoy trying new exercises . By changing how I eat and exercising a least 4 days a week I feel like a million dollars , I can walk anywhere and not be out of breath .
Anthony has been working with my high schooler on strength and agility training and is AWESOME. He's encouraging while remaining tough, and is laser focused the whole time. I'd highly recommend him.
