From high-speed cycling to kick boxing and becoming a licensed lifeguard, all before the age of 19, Mehdi continued to search for something that would bring him complete satisfaction and happiness. At 19 and at only 129 lbs, Mehdi began working out. After one year, he entered his first bodybuilding contest and placed third; he'd expected to place first. The defeat of this contest propelled him to accept nothing less than first for the next competition. In 6 months and with a lot of hard work, dedication, sacrifice and focus, he placed first in his second competition. The exhilaration and satisfaction of accomplishing a goal that brings him so much pleasure is a feeling he's committed to continuing for the rest of his life. "Championship living" is his only thought process and how he lives his life. At 27, Mehdi has completed in over 15 bodybuilding competitions, all over the world; he has placed first in all of them. Mehdi has lived in the States for less than a year (April 2014) and thrives off on the enthusiasm the Americans have shared with him. He's been motivated and energized in ways he's not experienced before. This experience has positioned him to even more inspire, encourage and motivate other people to recognize and tap into the power to change their lives for the better. Academically, Mehdi studied industrial engineering as an undergraduate in Malaysia and made application at the graduate level to Chalmers University in Sweden. With this however, he's chosen to follow his passion -- being the consummate bodybuilding professional the world has ever seen. Currently, Mehdi weighs in at 238 lbs. with 8% body fat. Contest weight for him is 225 lbs. with 5% body fat. He competed for the first time in March 2015 in the "Arnold Classic." He placed seventh in the heavyweight bodybuilding category, positioning him to be in the top ten. This outcome has again recommissioned him to work even harder to do better there next year.
