I have been weight lifting with Michael one-on-one, three times a week for over a year now and can truly say that he is head and shoulders above all other trainers in the Richmond area. I have worked with several trainers around town and have also participated in some of the more popular gym and group fitness classes (bootcamps & Crossfit). Michael takes a holistic approach to fitness and not only pushes you beyond your own perceived limits, but will help you to examine all aspects of your lifestyle to identify any obstacles and/or potential de-railers. At the onset of my training with Michael, my goal was to help make my workout more well-rounded by adding weight lifting to my mostly cardio workout. Now, I'm not only lifting weights above what I thought was do-able for my middle-aged, female body, but exceeding those weights with a safe and steady progression. I always feel confident in his abilities to help me to lift safely and effectively. I recommend Michael to anyone who is serious about their fitness and ready to make a positive change to their workout routine.
Matt is the BEST! His sytle of training is easy going, but he gets me motivated to get it done. We came a long ways in the time he trained me. I highly recommend Matt as your tainer for taking it to the next level whatever level that is.
I have been using Chad's online training program and it is going very well! The technology is easy to use and it makes my workouts easy to get in and done because I don't have to think about the exercises to do. The workouts are challenging and total body but achievable and after 5 weeks I am seeing results I am excited about. Chad is an excellent trainer in that he is consistent and motivating in his own unique way. You get a genuine spirit with Chad and someone who really cares about you progress in your fitness pursuits.
I have been training with Jon for 8 months. Jon challenges and motivates me in the gym which I really needed early on. He taught me to make better choices on eating and exercising. He held me accountable always asking about diet and what is happening outside the gym. Most importantly he is a great person and someone you want to spend time with. Jill is great! She doesn't take any crap and won't give you any crap. She coaches you so you truly understand what you're doing with weight training, cardio, and food, instead of just telling you what to do and expecting you to do it. Jill will push you but she keeps your goals realistic and is never harsh or abrasive. I'm a big fan!
I worked with her for almost a year concentrating on Olympic weightlifting. In that time my overall fitness improved dramatically and I made great progress on my lifts. She combines the knowledge of a very experienced coach with the encouragement of a friend who wants to see you meet your goals. She coached me through my first national level competitions and her calm, confident presence helped me control my nervousness. She brings this same presence to any session no matter what your goals are, she will help you reach them. Her training plans are well thought out, cover all aspects of your fitness, and push you just a little harder than you thought you could go. But never farther than you can handle. I have been seeing Ted for a few weeks now, and he is a very down to earth, easy to learn from guy! He challenges me while still caring about where I am currently at with the process. He manages our time well and utilizes many aspects to help me reach my goals. He has a great knowledge base to pull from for the overall process of working out, eating better and improving my lifestyle...which is what we are working on now. The Studio, though small, offers great equipment all clean and in working order, shower and lockers. The environment is private, comfortable and relaxing to allow your undivided attention to focus on your training goals. There are no hidden or membership fees. You schedule your training directly with the trainer. Pat is flexible and has the ability to schedule around your personal active life. I have worked with Pat over 3 years weekly and he has been apart of my success keeping with my program and transforming my body, a life long goal. He holds you accountable.
