Melanie is a excellent singing instructor I'm a beginner and showed improvement in her class every week with voice and ear training lesson
Mrs. Pousson is an outstanding vocal singing instructor. She taught my daughter about reading music and other important facets of voice in their first lesson together. I feel that my child learned more in 1 lesson than she learned in 8 months with another instructor. My child looks forward to her lessons because she learns more about vocal singing each time. Mrs. Pousson is a very pleasant and professional instructor!
When I began lessons with Guy, I had little singing experience, but immediately felt at ease with his soft spoken, easy going personality and engaging teaching style. Guy is outstanding in every facet of his work. He excels at explaining intricate and difficult concepts in a way that makes sense to me, and is very kind and understanding when doing so. His own talent as a singer is second to none, and I have found his use of human anatomy in understanding the voice to be extremely helpful to my practice. I find my time with Guy to be very well spent, and I dare say he is the best voice teachers in New Orleans.
Love Denise. She's honest about where you are vocally but doesn't make you feel insecure at the same time. I've never sang before and I would recommend her to anyone. I am singing way better than I ever thought I was capable of and I'm still very much a beginner, only on lesson 5 but I feel capable of getting further with Denise as my teacher.
Dr. Marchiafava is an excellent instructor! I loved our lessons together. She was very invested in my progress and the way she explains technique really helped me. She is very informative. I would highly recommend her!!

This was great experience! Robert helped me feel very comfortable to begin my 1st lesson. I am a beginner and feeling comfortable is very important to me to take this step in learning to sing.
I'm a great listener. Being calm is key for beginners.

I have BME from Loyola and MALA from LSU. I am offering voice and piano lessons that can include festival, opera, recital performances, and National Anthem soloist at Zephyrs and Voodoo games. Students have been praised by a Disney casting director, offered contracts with LA vocal agents with IPOP, appeared in NOLA operas, in district and all-state honor choirs, featured on 5 CDs, sang in National Honor Choir at Carnegie Hall, and have been accepted to NYU, NOCCA, LSU, MSU, ULL, SLU and DePaul.
I work to free the mechanics of the voice without imposing any particular sound on the singer. We open your voice so that it continues to sound like "you," only richer, fuller, and with greater range. I also understand the separation between the anatomy of the voice and artistry. Many teachers confuse the two and use artistic terms to dicuss mechanics. This leads to confusion in the singer. As we work together you will know specifically what part of the anatomy of singing that we are working to free or align.
I have a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Loyola University New Orleans. I have taken courses in vocal repertoire and pedagogy, and I feel comfortable teaching students with all levels of musical and knowledge of singing. I take a number of approaches to singing depending on the needs of every student. With some people I am very technical, and with others I like to take a more holistic, confidence-based approach.
I provide singing lessons. All styles, technique is the emphasis. I also do speech improvement coaching. I also offer the actor's voice workshops. I can teach all levels of modern piano rock, blues, jazz, and country music. I can also teach all vocal styles and modern software use.
I provide acting and voice lessons from a degrees' professional. I provide everything the actor or singer needs to know to get the part.
