- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with me is a seamless and personalized experience. Here’s what you can expect: 1. Initial Consultation We’ll start with a quick conversation—by phone or message—so I can learn about your event, preferences, dietary needs, and any special requests. This helps me understand your vision and how I can best bring it to life. 2. Custom Menu Proposal Based on your preferences, I’ll create a personalized menu tailored to your tastes, dietary goals, and seasonal ingredients. You’ll have the opportunity to review and request adjustments. 3. Booking & Planning Once we finalize the menu and confirm the details (number of guests, kitchen access, timeline), I’ll send over a service agreement and deposit invoice to secure your date. 4. Ingredient Sourcing I personally shop for high-quality, local, and seasonal ingredients—prioritizing freshness and flavor in every dish. 5. On-Site Preparation & Service On the day of your service, I’ll arrive with everything needed to cook, serve, and clean up. You get to relax and enjoy a restaurant-quality experience in the comfort of your own home. 6. Cleanup & Follow-Up After the meal, I leave your kitchen spotless and, if desired, follow up with notes or reheating instructions for leftovers.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received classical culinary training with a strong foundation in French cuisine, which taught me refined technique, discipline, and a deep respect for ingredients. I’ve worked in Michelin-starred kitchens and spent recent years in a high-end Italian restaurant, where I mastered seasonal cooking and handmade pastas. In addition to my professional kitchen experience, I’m a trained pastry chef and specialize in plated desserts and chocolate confectioneries. I’m also the founder of Geaux Graze, a boutique catering company I launched to offer curated grazing tables, seasonal menus, and elevated private dining experiences. Through Geaux Graze, I’ve served everything from intimate dinner parties to large-scale events—each one tailored, creative, and flavor-driven. My culinary roots are global, inspired by my Iraqi grandmother’s home cooking, which continues to influence my approach to spice, comfort food, and soulful dishes.
