Melanie was a pleasure to work with and did a beautiful job! She addressed our wedding invitations and they were gorgeous. Melanie was very careful in choosing the perfect color to compliment our invitations. Her style is beautiful! Further, Melanie was a pleasure to work with. We were on a tight schedule and Melanie worked with us to have everything done on our timeline - she was actually able to get them done earlier than anticipated for us. After we picked up the envelopes I had a question regarding envelop stuffing and Melanie had an answer for me right away. She is very knowledgeable about all things related to invitation etiquette. Melanie was so nice and accommodating and did an absolutely beautiful job! I would 100% use her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a calligrapher.

Erin of Crowley Art Studio does amazing, beautiful work. Her attention to detail and eye for color is quite impressive. She designed and painted a mural of the Amalfi Coast in our kitchen and several other trompe l’ oeil effects to tie in the main wall. Erin will work very closing w/ you making color and design recommendations so you can achieve the look you want in your home. (I wanted a taste of Italy and my kitchen to feel as if I was looking out of my Italian Villa). Erin can paint anything and is an extremely talented artist and a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend her for any type of painting (portrait, mural, faux, etc). Please check out some of her other amazing work a Ciao Bella!

When I recently started my own nonprofit foundation, I knew I needed a logo that stood out. I had a sketch of my vision but no way to get it in a digital format. That led me to Thumbtack and my working relationship with Brian Brunelle. I chose Brian based on what I saw in his portfolio. He did a great job bringing a drawing to life. I was not disappointed. Brian exceeded my expectations in regard to product, turn around time and price. I truly feel I have a graphic artist that I can add to my circle of business professionals. I would definitely recommend Brian to anyone that needs graphic design. Paul V. Rogers Executive Director Healthy Bodies Strong Minds

I gave Christian several hundred still photographs from two cameras, video recordings from a GoPro and another camera, iPhone voice recordings and videos. Despite the multitude of raw material,Christian composed an 18 minute video which highlighted a week long African Safari of my 19 year old son.

Edson was very responsive and the designs he produced were amazing. Edson sent us mock-ups less than 24 hours after contacting him, and continued to follow up until we had the right fit. I would highly recommend Edson to anyone looking for Logo design, or any graphic design requests.

Bernadette did a portrait of our small dog. It was a present for my wife. After asking her to do this, Bernadette showed me what she had done, having worked off of a photo. I asked for some small changes which she happily carried out and my wife was delighted with this delightful portrait that captured Roxy's impish personality. That picture hangs in a hallway and when my mother-in-law saw it, she wanted a similar portrait of her pet. Bernadette came through again with a painting that captured the dog's look as well as its upbeat personality. Both works are small and cute, rather than an over-the-fireplace type painting, which would threaten to be pretentious. They make great presents. We were delighted with her work and would recommend her to anyone else wanting a portrait of their pet.

I hired to Kit to create an illustrated quote book - illustrations of my then-girlfriend's quirky sayings, 10 pages with front/back covers - and the finished product is exceptional. Kit listened to my plan, made creative suggestions, provided examples of different styles/techniques, and kept me updated throughout the entire process. She is impeccably thorough and handled my overly-detailed tweaks very professionally; I cant tell she is a perfectionist. There was concern that a certain printing service couldn't meet our needs so she took time to diligently research other services and found the best match, which worked perfectly. Moreover, she provided a personable experience and really put care and thought into this project during what ended up being a difficult time for me personally; she went above and beyond what was asked of her. Kit was truly a pleasure to work with and I will certainly recommend her to anyone who needs graphic design/illustration work. Thank you, Kit!

Katherine was trained at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She specializes in realistic and figurative illustration, but she can and will work in a variety of styles depending on a client's needs. Great graphics can give your business the edge it needs to succeed in today's uncertain market, and a skilled illustrator can create graphics and promotional material that will be far more effective than a simple photograph for grabbing a customer's attention. How many times has your own head been turned when you noticed a great drawing or painting on a flyer or poster design? Katherine typically works with either traditional media: gouache, watercolor and acrylic or digital: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. In addition to creating artwork for whatever needs you may have, Katherine is also a skilled front-end developer. So, if you need a promotional website built from scratch, well, she can do that too. Samples of her wide range of work are available on her website. Katherine is also willing to accept commissions from private clients.

As a recent graduate of The New England Institute of Art and currently a Brookline Access Television volunteer, I specialize in freelance videography, animation, and graphic illustration/design (mostly appreciation art), and I will reach any limit to ensure the best finished product possible! Mu preferred art style includes anime/manga only (no cartoons, stick figures, or still life, please) The programs that I use are FCP/Motion, Sony Vegas, Photoshop CS4-CS6, some Flash, and Paint (8-bit fonts and sprites from memory; no plagiarism/theft intended) My exceptional skills in the aforementioned fields are beyond that of any normal videographer and illustrator, and I'm very fluent/literate in Japanese (with over 10 years of studying)! Also, I'm an avid visual storyteller, and if you've got one in mind, I'd definitely help in any way to make it flourish and flesh out like never before! Currently, I have absolutely no updates as of yet regarding videography commissions, but for illustration/design commission details, please refer to the upcoming link (to be provided). The most recent local-con Artists' Alley appearances are AnimeBoston (2010 and 2011)/Spring Anime Kaiju Experience 2010. Three of my best pieces are now up for exhibit at BATV for a limited time, so feel free to scope them out when you have the chance! I'm no Spielberg or Schulz, but I get the job done!

Miller-Havens is an artist who paints the subtleties of life. For the past 20 years, commissioned portraits, limited edition reproductions, one-of-a-kind figurative, and abstract oil paintings have been Miller-Havens' focus. Transcending the representational, where possibilities are closed down, she conveys psychological depth by inviting viewer and subject into a space of visual correspondence. Her understanding of the human nature is rooted in a previous 20-year career in the mental health field. Purposely intimate Miller-Havens technique puts a tight perspective on their subject matter show just enough information to draw in the viewer. "She is one of the very few artists that gets down into the soul of her subject and brings that aspect to life on canvas... remarkably so." Patrick J. Riley President -- The Miami Heat Art Collector, Miller-Havens patron

I do bright, thick and expressive paintings (usually oil and mixed materials) that depict the active imagination and landscapes of places the artist has never been but perceives in her mind. Some subjects have included but are not limited to dancing unicorns, ocean goddesses, psychotropic bunnies, colorful dogs from the local park, scenes from Arizona, Colorado, California, and farms from Massachusetts. Deborah also paints in her creative style portraits of people she knows, doesn't know and those commissioned for her to paint. She has been painting for about 10 (ten) years and is an artist who displays some of her work at the Out of the Blue Art Gallery in Cambridge and has a little gallery of her own in her home also in Cambridge. Customers usually love the fact that my paintings are extremely unique, have much motion and color and brighten up their home. I am able to work on any theme and enjoy using the various palate knives along with the brushes to give the painting even more texture and 3D effect. I was trained by an Austrian artist with a bit of a German technique similar to German expressionism.
