Cathleen was an awesome addition to our wedding. We did a DIY wedding so we really just needed help the day of, and Cathleen was an amazing day-of planner. She helped me find a rental company for our tent/chairs/tables and she even came and walked the venue grounds with me to meet the rental company months and months before our big day. Cathleen answered each one of my emails/calls extremely timely, gave me advice about the timeline for the day, and was super professional. I am thankful that Cathleen was with us that day! I stumbled upon Boston Event Diva's while planning my wedding and I can honestly say that hiring Jen was the best and easiest decision I made throughout the planning process. She was so easy to work with, incredibly accommodating and made all of my visions & dreams come to life. While I only used her as my florist, I urge anyone needing a wedding day coordinator to hire Jen as well. The amount of time and effort that she put into the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and all the ceremony & reception arrangements leads me to believe that she puts her entire heart into her work... and you in return will have the most beautiful wedding from start to finish. I can not say enough great things about Boston Event Diva's. Plus, one week after my wedding I still have a beautiful and healthy hydrangea centerpiece sitting on the island in my kitchen still looking as beautiful as they did on the day of my wedding!
I met with Jen at the Pawtucket Public Library on Wednesday June 22, 2015 and she was outstanding. Jen was very nice, listened to my needs, wants, and concerns. She made the stress of planning a wedding go away, she made me feel comfortable and like I could do this. I will be using her services for my engagement photos and as a wedding planner. I am very pleased with her so far I only had one meeting with her but so far it has been wonderful.

Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.
Alice- Planned our wedding in the summer of 2014. Alice is very detail oriented-she makes sure that every part of the wedding is taken care of- from the general outlook of the wedding to the littlest details. She has a background in accounting so she is able to help with budgeting. We were able to save over $20,000 in venue costs and food because of her extensive research. Her flexibility came in very handy- she was able to work with our work schedules.
Valerie and Veronica are not only amazing party planners but they both work extremely hard and are dedicated to making your event one to remember. They are on top of everything, extremely detail oriented, quick responding, genuine, and want to satisfy your visions times TEN! We had our baby shower on February 4, 2017 and it was honestly AMAZING!!! When we walked into the venue we were blown away with the creativity and effort put into the props, center pieces, back drops, lighting, everything was PERFECT! Our guests walked in and asked if our baby shower was a wedding LOL. This shows how extremely detailed and beautiful our set up was. We were beyond happy with the turn out! Everything was gorgeous from the decorations to the sweets and the entire set up! It was the baby shower that we always dreamed of and will remember forever. These ladies made it happen, I truly recommended her for anyone who wants to have that perfect event they always dreamed of. They are one of a kind and you WILL NOT be disappointed! We hired Julie for our Daughter’s September 17 wedding and her “Day of Wedding Coordinator Services”, and were extremely satisfied with her professional services. Our Daughter and her Fiancé rented a 5-bedroom house on a picturesque lake in Westminster to host their outdoor wedding. They wanted a relaxed family party vibe, with no full service caterer, no servers or bartenders, and no DJ. As a former wedding consultant, I knew that I could not be both an impartial consultant and the Mother-of-the-Bride. We searched the area, found Something Bleu, and after chatting with Julie briefly, realized that she would be perfect for our daughter’s wedding. Julie reviewed our Daughter’s final to-do lists, and believe it or not, day-of event Gantt charts. She met everyone the evening before the wedding to supervise the ceremony rehearsal and review the reception. The next morning she arrived early and worked with family and friends to set the tables, place flowers and decorations, and sign off on food delivery. More importantly, she was at all times our eyes and ears behind the scenes, and kept everything flowing seamlessly throughout the day. Julie’s assistance was absolutely essential in making the day the huge success that it was. Her special touches and suggestions were most welcome, and I highly recommend her.
I can't even tell you what a true treasure Camille was in helping us create the perfect light to set the mood for our wedding. That be said she even went beyond her job and helped first of all calm me down as my cake vendor and florist BOTH botched up royally. She took the time to even help with some of my decorations. Her PROFESSIONALISM, COMPASSION, GO WAY ABOVE JUST BEING A SERVICE. The pricing was great and a lot of vendors should try to strive to be as good. Nancy's Affordable wedding services was a GOD sent! I hired Nancy to make our pews, place and table cards as well as our memorial for our loved ones who past on! Everything Nancy did for us was simply beautiful. I sent Nancy images and she designed them even better than I imagined. Looking at the items you could clearly tell that she created all of our items with love and care. Nancy's services were professional extremely creative and everything was so personable. I would definitely recommend Heather at Simply Radiant Events! I really wanted to find a wedding planner to hold my hand through the entire wedding process, but still allow me to feel like I planned my own wedding, and Heather allowed me to do just that. She was always there to answer any questions I had, kept me on schedule, and always made me feel comfortable that everything would get done and nothing would slip through the cracks. My husband and I told Heather on numerous occasions that we felt like we were her only clients. If we could do it again, we would still hire Heather in a heartbeat. She has a great spirit, makes the wedding planning process fun, and even helps you save money (we spent LESS on our wedding by hiring Heather than planning the wedding by ourselves). This fee does not include price of materials, starts at $2,500. * Package 2 -- Day/Week-of Coordinating The couple will do all the planning up until the final week. We will then take over and have final follow-ups with all vendors, set up and break down decor for reception site, and do rehearsal, ceremony and reception coordination. Price is $1,300. * Package 3 -- Bring Your Wedding to Life The couple will do the major planning, vision and design of their wedding. We will execute your vision. Price is $1,000. Fee does not include materials on your set budget for decor and floral. After-hour cleanup is $150. * Any other events -- Fee starts at $50 an hour depending on how big the event is.
