Having Kyie as my personal trainer is like having a personal coach, someone with the knowledge and experience. Who will push you to be better! Kyie was hard but I can honestly say I left the gym feel strong!
Lou is an excellent personal trainer. He is professional and extremely knowledgeable in both weight training and nutrition. I highly recommend Lou.
I have been to other personal trainers and Tammy is the first one where I saw measurable results. She is fantastic!!!
Love the work outs man. A great personal trainer. I cannot wait to get back with him. Thanks Johnny!
I just started going to Nancy and so far so GREAT! I'll leave another review in a month once I have some results, but so far she has been so great with talking and working with me, I feel the burn, I needed a personal trainer bad!!
Trent is very professional and personable. He’s very educated about personal fitness and made me feel confident and comfortable.
Great experience with Will. Worked with several personal trainers over the years and have found him to be top decile. Zero hesitation recommending Will. Good variety in workouts Engaging with clients Understands flexible schedules
All I can saw is...wow. Mica is probably one of he most informed, driven, and inspirational trainers I've worked with. She's always honest with me and our sessions are never boring. I've lost a couple pounds in the past few weeks already and my abs are starting to look more toned. She taught me that losing weight isn't what training is all about, it's about eating right so I can lead a healthier life. Personal trainers really make a difference but Mica changed my life completely. Thanks again, Mica, can't wait for the next time we meet!
Billy is a fantastic personal trainer. He has an impressive background with a very diverse clientele, which shows his comfortability, competency, and versatility in all different levels. He is laid-back, personable, knowledgeable, and it is clear that he has our best interests in mind - he talks to me like a real person, not a customer. He is always on-time and I never feel rushed in my work-outs (even though I’m late half the time..). Billy tailor-fits and personalizes programs to suit my needs and goals, whether it is my long term goal of body transformation, or just wanting to add more core work-outs for that particular day, for example. He is able to constitute exercises as we go, and always changes it up, which keep the sessions fun and challenging. I appreciate how he focuses on proper dieting aspects as well. Lastly, Billy is very in-depth and precise in communicating what I am doing and why. He educates you on exercise selection and order, proper form, what muscles are being targeted, etc. to maximize results, which some personal trainers don’t do. Because of this, he has instilled enough confidence in me needed to perform the exercises on my own. With a decent amount of options here on Thumbtack, I am very happy with my choice with New School Fitness and highly recommend Billy. I feel more energetic, fit, and overall healthier and happier. :)
Ross Hardaway has been my personal trainer for the past three months. I meet with him for two 45 minute sessions per week and I have definitely met my goals of becoming stronger and more fit overall. I had previously worked with 2 other personal trainers and I have been extremely happy with Ross. In addition to pushing me to a higher level of fitness, Ross's workouts are fun and interesting. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer.
Annie has always had a passion for fitness and helping others. It's no surprise that @STRONGIRLGUIDE reflects that! Her plans are made with your personal needs in mind and with her passion to help you reach your goals!
These guys are literally the reason I function! I've seen them both for personal training and physical therapy after major surgery. I've seen many PTs in my life but none who knew what they were doing half as well! They zeroed in on my exact issues and catered a plan exactly to what I needed, rather than giving me a cookie cutter one size fits all regimen. Every session is different based on my needs that day. I've been seeing them for three years and cannot say enough wonderful things. I would not be able to lead a meaningful active life without them.
Janey is amazing. His enthusiasm, professionalism and fun attitude completely changed my perspective on personal training. For less than two months, I have developed so much confidence on weight training/ interval training and really started to see results of my training. My legs have gotten much stronger and I have lost two pounds of fat in exchange for muscles. Most importantly, I have developed a habit of going to the gym even outside our personal training sessions. I think this is the most important part of this experience and I hope to keep up this habit for the rest of my life. Thank you Janey!
Personal in home trainer for my mum who is 63. My mom and I are both thrilled with his great attitude and results!
I started working with Micah a year and a half ago. I wanted to get a personal trainer in preparation for my wedding so I could look and feel my best for my special day. Micah not only helped me reach my goal weight but also made exercising fun again. I have enjoyed it so much that I have continued with Micah long after my wedding day. He is extremely good at his job, every work out is different, which makes each session very challenging and fun. I highly recommend Micah and Next Level Fitness!!
After our first session, I'm very excited to continue working with her! She fits perfectly with what I wanted in a personal trainer!
Tom Doherty is an amazing personal trainer. Over the past 25 years, I have sought personal training expertise from at least 10 different individuals and interviewed twice as many. Sometimes, I was looking for help to tone and build strength. Other times, I was seeking a training program for a particular race or to participate in a particular athletic adventure (e.g. mountain climbing or a road bike tour). Over the years, I discovered that most trainers were basically offering the same thing, but maybe with a few different machines or a few different exercises. Tom’s skill set is one I have not come close to finding in any other professional. In addition to his bachelors degree in exercise physiology and experience working with college athletes as well as golfers, he has pursued extensive ongoing training in functional exercise and has developed a significant expertise in corrective exericse. He can recognize specific weaknesses or areas where the body is compensating for other places where it shouldn’t be. He has helped me recover from countless minor issues with pain or injury as well as significant issues with back pain which had sidelined me from most athletic activities. He loves what he does and it shows. He is funny, engaging and has a range of interests and experiences that are inspiring and thought provoking. He is knowledgeable about overall fitness as well as ultimate sports. He has raced in many marathons as well as 100+ mile team races. He is an avid snow boarder, runner, golfer and mountain bike rider. But, most importantly, professionally, he is intensely focused on each individual client’s health and well-being, paying particular attention to the person’s goals, blind spots, habits, motivations, and practices. His assessments of overall body balance, alignment and strength along with one’s injuries, pain, and endurance/fitness are targeted and informative. He educates clients about their particular body status and puts training plans together that prioritize the right set of strengthening and repair (as needed), so that whatever needs addressing first receives the right attention. He understands injuries and how other professional interventions can assist recovery (e.g. physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, etc.), so his training programs can work in conjunction with such therapies. His expertise is appropriate for those wishing to develop more elite athletic skills to those healing from injuries, eager to get back in shape. While his main client population is adults (ages 20s to 50s), he also has expertise in working with older adults and teenagers. He has had great success engaging older adults who may have lifelong habits, practices or injuries that need repair and correction along with light education. His training programs are targeted for the appropriate strength, mobility and capacities of the older individual. On the other end of the spectrum, he is a fabulous trainer of adolescents, girls and boys, understanding the different body types, developmental issues and appropriate training guidelines that can help educate young people about their own bodies as well as about their fitness capacities and goals. I highly recommend Tom as a personal trainer for these many different populations and targeted needs. He excels in this profession he loves. He is far more sophisticated than most “standard” personal trainers. He is committed to what he does and to ongoing learning about new developments and approaches in his various areas of expertise. Clients will learn far more than they might have imagined in their work with Tom Doherty.
I signed up for 3 months of training with Chad in April with the hope to lose weight, build strength and not cringe at the thought of exercising after work. I was a little hesitant to commit to two training sessions a week since it had been almost 2 years since I had exercised on a regular basis (since my son was born) but Chad was patient and explained each move and the proper form in an understandable way for me. I was nervous of what my capabilities would be after being out of the game for so long. The feeling of intimidation subsided within the first few minutes of my first workout with Chad due to his personable and friendly way. That first work out was a killer at the time and 15 minutes in I was sweating hard but I loved it and couldn't wait to come back for more! Each session is different and Chad is an excellent trainer who puts a lot of thought and effort into the workouts he plans for me. In 3 months have I gained so much physical strength and I also have noticed positive changes in my energy level, mindset, sleeping habits and food choices. I dont dread going to the gym after work anymore. His passion for fitness and his desire to help people is what made me renew for another 3 months of training and I am excited to see more results in my weight loss and physical strength journey.
Paul is an excellent personal trainer. He has introduced me to a wide range of exercises, provided helpful instruction on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and always challenges me to do my best. Paul is extremely flexible and committed. We've even done video training while I was traveling. Highly recommended!
My daughter is an active teen-ager, who also happens to use a manual wheelchair. She worked with Rick for a year and a half- her first experience working with a personal trainer rather than a physical therapist. Rick brings a unique perspective to training, informed by his background as a musician, dancer, and citizen of the world. He brought a great sense of encouragement to my daughter, with just the right mix of pushing and humor too. His work-outs were varied and interesting, and my daughter always left feeling not only stronger, but more empowered in general. We recommend training with Rick.
Sarah and her trainers are excellent - the workouts are geared to push me and are well thought out. Sarah and her trainers are upbeat and enthusiastic and make the workouts fun!
