This pro takes on jobs that are not his specialty and will leave you without completing them.
The original scope was for a disconnect of a kitchen sink and a reconnect. We had contractors who were installing the cabinets and new sink come in. They (contractors) asked if he (Michael) could just cut the pipes to make it easier to install the cabinets without destroying the back of them. Michael agreed to do this with the contractors. He then gave his number to the contractors and asked he be given a 45m window of when they were going to be completed so he could come back and finish. Again, he agreed to do all of this in front of me and the contractors. So, we shut off the water to the house and those pipes were cut, thinking we'd only be without water to the house for a few hours.
He left around 10:30 am and I sent him a text because he "forgot" some of the pipes he needed to match after the cut (again something he agreed to do). No response from the first one, sent another about picking up the right pipes about an hour later and he sent me the response attached. He responded roughly 2 hours after he left to let us know he would not be completing the job, even after he said he would be back in the afternoon. He left us high and dry, literally, because he couldn't be asked to say at the time "this is out of scope for me, I could do the original plan, but this is out of my league". He just couldn't say it at the time. He would rather lie, and send a text hours later.
Did I mention this was Friday and we would have to call a plumber and get an emergency service to reconnect our sink costing us hundreds more??
Also, the first time we met when he came to look at the job, he mentioned "the union" on multiple occasions. We didn't think much of it, thought he was a plumber because he took on a job for a plumber and we requested... That's right! A plumber! Only to find out he's not a part of the Plumber's Union, but the Carpenters Union. tsk tsk.
All in all, he accepted a job outside of his area of expertise, committed to doing said job even after talking with the contractors and changing the scope, then told us he would not be returning 2 hours later.
He also texted my wife (because I was supposed to be leaving for the weekend) to say "it wasn't my fault the scope changed". Zero accountability and responsibility.
If he's messaging about a plumbing job, AVOID HIM LIKE THE PLAGUE.
