Tammy and I have been training on flexibility and stretching specifically, which was the intent on original posting on Thumbtack. The program is focused on multiple areas and is properly positioned for me to develop my flexibility in sessions and on my own. The training sessions are appropriately timed and Tammy is also able to arrange her time based upon my busy schedule. The experience is developing as we both expect it to take a few months to see significant change, but so far, I am very pleased.

Nancy was an amazing trainer; I would recommend her for anyone who is interested in hiring a personal trainer. She was always very professional and tailored my workouts to exactly what I needed. Trent is the best trainer :) I lost 16 lb in two months, I feel much stronger, sleep much better. my endurance has greatly improved threw the course of training. The training are very hard, but worth it.
Antrofit is hands down the best training company you will find. Johnny Loretti is an absolute beast in every sense of the word. His knowledge, experience and excitement for his job were all things that helped take my body to the next level. From his meal plans to training routines, he transformed my body into exactly what I was looking for (in a fraction of the time I thought it would take). He is there at a drop of a hat to answer all of my questions and always makes sure I'm feeling my best. I highly recommend using Anthrofit and Johnny - I promise you will thank yourself.
As someone whose former workouts consisted strictly of hours of trite cardio and whose nutrition came from a blend of fad diets and eating whatever I wanted when those diets inevitably failed, I needed a change: Lou gave me an entirely new outlook on exercise and nutrition. Perhaps more importantly, he made me really excited about living a healthier lifestyle, which I think is key for anyone who wants long-term results. Lou is most definitely a fitness-and-nutrition nerd in the best way possible and, unlike many PTs, he actually practices what he preaches. He’s amassed a staggering wealth of knowledge from years of personal and professional experience, and stays abreast of the science and studies that support the advice he provides his clients. His training sessions are always challenging, interesting, and fun. He takes the time to explain how to do an exercise and why it’s effective (though you will certainly feel it's effects the next day!) and motivates you to do far more in the gym than you thought you could. Moreover, his services don’t end when you finish your session; I text him often with nutrition and fitness inquiries. He’s always quick to respond and encourages me to keep asking questions-- not just because he clearly loves the subject matter, but also because he genuinely cares about his clients. We started training immediately , and it’s going great
I've been training with Debi for 4 months now. Having had 2 back surgeries, I was out of shape but hesitant to get back into the gym. Debi is understanding of this and any other anxiety, and is very encouraging. She really listens, and has the knowledge to implement a plan to help you reach your goals. I have always loved working with weights but wasn't sure if I'd regain my strength. Well, I've lost weight, gained strength and endurance beyond my expectations thus far; and I'm looking to compete in a powerlifting competition in 2 weeks. I'm not done improving yet, and I know Debi will be there every step of the way.
I started training with Billy in Jan 2017 after losing 50 pounds on Weight Watchers. I interviewed other trainers at the time but never found a good fit. Upon meeting Billy for the first time, I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and experience about nutrition, strength training, anatomy, and overall fitness. He is an excellent listener and employs routines and strategies that support his client's goals / needs. Little did I know that I would reach my goal weight (lose another 30 lbs for total 80 lb loss), succeed in strength training taking me to new personal records that I never dreamed of (deadlifts, etc...), firm up body and run my very first 5K within 6-7 months of starting to work with Billy. I have had a few injuries (shoulder, back) from extracurricular sports that have required physical therapy. Billy understands PT's approach, is happy to communicate & build plans with them, and then modifies our routine to support PT objectives while continuing to stay on a path supporting strength training and overall fitness. I plan to continue working with New School Fitness / Billy on a regular basis (training for "Tough Mudder" or possibly "Spartan" - can't believe it - so amazing). After such a successful, and fun, first year training with Billy, I am happy to highly recommend "New School Fitness".
Janey is amazing. His enthusiasm, professionalism and fun attitude completely changed my perspective on personal training. For less than two months, I have developed so much confidence on weight training/ interval training and really started to see results of my training. My legs have gotten much stronger and I have lost two pounds of fat in exchange for muscles. Most importantly, I have developed a habit of going to the gym even outside our personal training sessions. I think this is the most important part of this experience and I hope to keep up this habit for the rest of my life. Thank you Janey!

NFL is a great option for personal and small group training no matter what shape you're in. I am training for another marathon and want to add some serious strength training to avoid injury and that's exactly what my personal training sessions at NFL gives me! I leave every week a little bit stronger than I came. Additionally, my trainer (Katie) goes above and beyond to check in during time in between our training sessions to see how I feel and if I need grocery lists. NFL is invested in my success as if I'm not just their client but also their friend! In terms of the small group training classes, these are a real gem. They are capped at 3 people so it's very attentive and is similar to personal training. Additionally, they even try to group skill levels together in the class so that the workouts are the best use of everyone's time....I think that is going the extra mile for their clients. And the price! The price breakdown comes within other fitness classes in boston...but instead of a room of 45 people and the instructor it's just you and two others!PS they are on ClassPass :)
Paul is an excellent personal trainer. He has introduced me to a wide range of exercises, provided helpful instruction on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and always challenges me to do my best. Paul is extremely flexible and committed. We've even done video training while I was traveling. Highly recommended!
I love training with Zhubin! He’s is extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain thoroughly the exercises, why we are doing them and the main muscles we want to target by doing each said exercise. He is very dedicated and makes working out easy and fun. I will be training with him as long as I am in the Boston area!
Hector helped me get ready for a wedding. He challenged me and pushed me outside my comfort zone (running) to incorporate more weight training. He also explained how that would help improve my running and be better for me as a whole.

I have been working out with Megan and a member of The Training Project for over 3 years. Megan is highly knowledgeable in both fitness and nutrition and has helped me lose a combined total of 30lbs to achieve my fitness goals. There are a variety of classes and times to choose from at all fitness levels. The classes are also small enough so you feel like youre getting individualized attention. Megan also has a highly motivating and knowledgeable staff. The facility is super clean and equipped with everything you need to keep workouts fun and interesting and the members are kind and motivating as well!
I've been training with Anahid for couple of months now. She always keeps the workouts interesting and challenging by incorporating diverse training methods such as cardio, functional and endurance training depending on your fitness goals. She's encouraging, cheerful and motivates you in a nice way.
I got to work with Alex as my personal trainer for almost a year, most of 2017. He was a great personal trainer, one of the best I’ve ever worked with! Alex is a great combination of professional & friendly; he took the time to get to know me & my fitness goals. This led to him being able to support me & push me to change my eating habits as well as hit new fitness goals. Alex did a great job adjusting work out regimens to accommodate some of my chronic knee & shoulder problems. I hit new PRs for deadlifts, TGUs, and pull-ups over & over during my time working with Alex. You can’t get a better personal trainer!
