Latest Review: Fantastic Piano Teacher As adults, how many times have we said "I used to play the piano"? I wanted to play the piano again, but was unable to find a teacher who met my needs as an adult learner. Then I found Bulent Guneralp. He answered my inquiry in a timely manner. We set up the first lesson and then I looked forward to the second lesson. I am now taking piano lessons almost weekly. Aside from his technical expertise, I think that one of the greatest things he gives his students is hope. I'm playing again, I'm practicing again. Sitting at the piano has become both challenging and fun, not a chore. Maybe because I am a teacher (of a different subject), I can recognize good teaching. Bulent is a fantastic music educator because he is neither too easy, nor too critical. He is pleasant, inspiring and meticulous. Most of all, I am hopeful about taking piano lessons again.

She has fostered my daughter's confidence and developed her singing skills. I highly recommend Amanda. You become part of her singing family and she gives more than 100% of herself each lesson. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Latest Review: Ivan was absolutely wonderful. He was very accomodating to my schedule and was always very quick to respond. I am unfortunately unable to continue my lessons due to my own schedule restrictions, but I highly recommend Ivan for any new piano learners and I will be sure to continue lessons with Ivan in the future whenever my schedule allows!

Latest Review: It was a pleasure to take piano lessons with Don in his studio. He is professional, organized and kind! I was given a binder to help organize homework, repertoire. But I had to take a break from lessons for personal reasons. I think I will return to them soon next year! And Don will definitely be one of my top choices.

Latest Review: I have wanted to learn to play the piano since I was a very young girl. My uncle was an accomplished pianist, and two of my cousins took lessons for many years, but my family could not afford lessons or a piano. After I reached my 60th birthday, I decided that if I was going to ever play the piano, I had best start soon. Three years ago I bought a piano, and when I began to search for a teacher, several people recommended Bill Hynes very highly. I called and set up my first class, and I have been taking weekly lessons ever since. I thought at first that I might feel out of place….the oldest student among all very young children. But that has not been the case at all. I fit in just perfectly. I have met students of many different ages and skill levels at Bill’s studio-from beginners like myself to accomplished performers. If I am a bit early I can hear some really nice music through the door to the waiting room. But I have also overheard Bill working so well with the very little ones. Bill’s instructions are very clear, and he is very patient. His comments and corrections are always very positive. I am a teacher myself (university professor). I know how hard it is to teach anything to anyone. I am so pleased with my progress. I look forward to my lesson every week. For me this is one of the most relaxing but also challenging activities that I do each week. And I am so impressed with how much more I enjoy listening to music of all kinds now that I understand a little more of what is behind the production of such beautiful and moving sounds.

Latest Review: Penny is a wonderful, talented, and caring teacher. She pushes her students to reach for their best, but doesn't overwhelm them in the process. The Wayland School of Music has also provided terrific opportunities to perform on their recitals.

Latest Review: Doug is the consummate teacher and professional--clearly the best with whom I have ever worked. I am a 55 year old professional who, due to the obligations of a busy work load, has let his piano skills deteriorate. Doug, through his skilled approach, honed at the Berklee School of Music and his extensive entertainment gigs, is allowing me to be a more extemporaneous, improvisational, and modern pianist. He has his work cut out for him, but he has inspired me to stick with it. Playing the piano has become enjoyable again, and is the respite that I have always wanted it to be--it's no longer a chore!! Thank you Doug

Latest Review: I started taking piano lessons with Tamara when I was eleven, and four years later have only good things to say. Lessons are always in a relaxed setting, but the music is serious. She never neglects details and technique, but what stands out to me is the emotion of my playing that has developed over the past four years. I am so grateful for all of the musical knowledge I have gained with Tamara, and look forward to everything I will learn in future lessons!
