I will hire Oliver again in a minute and plan to as long as he tutors. He made the difference between my grandson failing 8th grade math and making it to 9th grade. Who could ask for more? Quality = 100%!

Michelle was my tutor for calculus 2, she was so patient and encouraging during our sessions. Michelle was very knowledgeable and adjusted to my learning style; she would approach problems differently until they were clear and I could solve them with no problem.

Lisa helped me with my essays for graduate school. She helped me polish my essays by acting as a critical eye, rephrasing awkward and wordy sentences, and helped me better express my thoughts and experiences. She is highly qualified, and very good at what she does. Working with Lisa was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent writing tutor, or for guidance on getting into college/grad-school.

Educational tutoring on a high school level. Trouble areas in math were addressed and positive reinforcement was the key to success. My son had been tutored by several professional tutors but he never had the confidence that he needed to succeed. We heard about Kristen's services from my son's classmate who was also struggling in math and decided to retain her services. From my initial conversation with Kristen, I immediately took a liking to her. She was professional and personable. She was very receptive to help my son succeed. Kristen was most accommodating when scheduling sessions. My son immediately connected with her and truly felt a sense of confidence after his tutoring session. Kristen is likable and personable. My son's grades greatly improved and he felt a sense of accomplishment. He looked forward to his tutoring sessions because he knew he would have a good sense of understanding his school work after being tutored by Kristen. My daughter, who was a senior in high school, also was tutored by Kristen for "fine tuning" before an exam. She was always amazed with Kristen's ability to simplify the lesson. My son's grades improved significantly. Kristin was a positive reinforcement and truly took an interest in my kids' success. I was happy to refer her to other students. Laurie G.

Samantha is tutoring my daughter in high school honors French. I like that she tailors her lessons to her ability, learning style and current school lessons. She is also warm and engaging. This has made such a comfortable learning environment. Samantha has been the right choice for us, but I can see her working very well with any age person who wants to to learn or brush up on their French.

I have had Tutors for a few different languages (Japanese & Portugues) so I have experience in working with people of all skill levels trying to teach me a foreign language; that said, Candi is BY FAR the best tutor I've had the pleasure of working with. What makes Candi fit with me is her extreme flexibility. My job sends me on the road at a moments notice and each time I've had to change the schedule Candi has been able to happily accommodate me. A big part of Candi's approach is her positivity, which keeps me smiling and always looking forward to my class. When it comes to her approach to teaching as a tutor, Candi is professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. Tutoring an adult comes with specific challenges, dedication being the most destructive, but Candi's style inspires one to keep with the program and her abilities allow you to have successes on a weekly or bi-weekly basis further inspiring you to move forward. As you can probably tell I am very fond of and thankful for Candi, she's an amazing Teacher and the main reason why I'll be touring Spain next year with a great grasp of the local language. Definitely sign up for her program and you'll be speaking Spanish in no time!

I have a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a master's degree in mathematics. I am currently an adjunct math professor. I have one client currently. She is in the fifth grade and received an A- in math this past semester. This summer, we are going over problems geared toward the ISEE test.

About

I am offering tutoring in the following areas: math (pre-algebra, algebra I and geometry); science (high school biology, chemistry and conceptual physics); SAT math preparation. Morning, afternoon and evening hours are available.  I have 10 years of teaching middle school and high school science and math. I earned my PhD in geochemistry and I have experience working as an environmental geochemist. I have developed curriculum for schools and after-school science clubs, and taught both.  I try to create a warm and engaging learning environment that supports their executive functioning needs and works with all types of learners. I find learning fun and hope to make it that for my students. Lastly, I see math and science in the world all around us and try to infuse an understanding and appreciation of these in our daily lives.

I am a 22 year old recent college graduate. Next year I will be living and working in Ibiza, Spain as an English Language Assistant teacher at the high-school level (auxilar program). I have only a basic understanding of Spanish. Naturally, I would like to study as much as possible before my departure. I leave in mid-September, and, aside from a week in August, I am free all day every day until that time. I am hoping for 2 hour-long sessions a week.

Hello, I am a law and social work student interested in working in immigration, and so am very motivated to learn Spanish! I was supposed to spend this summer in Guatemala, but had to change my plans at the last minute, so would love to find a way to still put the next few months to good use. I speak French, but very little Spanish so far.
