I hired Fred for general home inspection and radon testing services. The house (townhouse condo) was relatively new, which is why he took a shorter time - I would say close to 1.5 hours. Fred was very professional, on-time, his reports were timely and overall he did a good job. However, I would not say that he went above and beyond in his inspection. One way that Fred could improve, the inspection should focus on the buyers perspective - being a first time home buyer I was very nervous about buying a home that had potential problems, unfortunately the home inspection did not leave me reassured.
Christian Wells and his team are reliable, communicative, experienced, trustworthy and do great work. I had a large complete deck replacement by them and they customized so many parts of the project, including a custom lattice and cantilever solution. His team is so good that I recommended them to my condo board to perform roof replacement work for my townhouse condo association here in Dupont Circle, as well as recommending him as contractor for a new penthouse rooftop deck for another neighbor. Christian was awarded both contracts because everyone in my community saw how dedicated his team is and how good the work product is. I intend to use 5thGen Group for interior work, as well (we had a former lead contractor who was originally hired to transform both the interior and the deck, but proved unreliable and bailed on the deck job, so I used Thumbtack to find Christian/5thGen Group and I am so happy that I did!).

I came into contact with Three Pillars from a co-worker. Because of work, I had to rent my townhome out for 18 homes. It was vacant for less than 2 weeks before a tenant was moving in. I never had any issues with my service. Towards the end of my service with this company, they began using an app that I could login and see details of my properties. They don't charge for inspections throughout the year. The price is unbeatable. I hired Piero Marinucci with Silver Spring Property Management to both manage my house while it was being rented and to be my sellers agent to sell my condo. Piero is awesome. As a management company everything was taken care of. Rent, repairs, tax reporting, and at a more competitive rate then most companies. Prior to them, I had one of the bigger management companies, and they failed to meet the needs of the renters and were consistently billing me for things I was not made aware of. After a couple year, I was finally able to sell the property (thanks housing bubble!). As my listing agent, Piero did everything. We had multiple showings in the first weekend and I sold my property within 45 days. The closing was seamless and he was always keeping me informed through the process. Amazing communication, pleasant to work with, a fantastic experience. I wish he worked where I live now in Wisconsin.
