It was such a pleasure working with Eleven Courses. As the wedding planner, I hired them based upon my client's taste to be our premier caterer for a tented wedding reception at Glenview Mansion on April 11, 2015. Eleven Courses not only worked with me throughout the whole process, (i.e. tasting, contract, and walkthrough at the venue) they were always very responsive to my questions. In all honesty, their blend of professionalism and friendliness immediately made me feel like I was part of their team. The day of the event, Eleven Courses went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfectly executed. They arrived on time, helped to set up the table linens, plates, glasses, etc. contracted out by the tent company. The presentation of the food was immaculate. The food not only looked great, it was delicious. As well, the food was more than enough to accommodate the guest count. The guests raved all night about the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres in the mansion, and the main entrees served during the reception. Clean up was also perfectly executed by Eleven Courses. Their staff of servers were excellent and very helpful, and our tandem coordination made things seamless. I am so excited to work with Eleven Courses again, and cannot wait to recommend them to my future clients. They will for sure be one of my premiere catering vendors! I was beyond pleased as a vendor, and individual. I am all about customer service and they are outstanding. Eric & Chrissy are beyond great, and down-to Earth individuals to work with. They also go out of their way to ensure that your vision for food at your event is executed. A big thank you! We hired Edelina to be the DOC for our 100-person, same-sex, church-hall, largely DIY wedding reception in September. We also hired several of her staff to set up the hall, receive food from the caterer and serve it buffet-style, arrange presentation of several types of desserts, and take care of clean-up. In the several months throughout the wedding planning, Edelina was extremely accessible for questions and recommended several other vendors to us, including our fantastic bartender. On the day itself, Edelina did a phenomenal job! She and her staff went above and beyond, including set-up and clean-up projects that took longer than anticipated, and rolled with everything. She coordinated the timing and direction of several live musical performances, including a band, and handled both professional catering and family-provided food with energy and care. She and her staff ran what could have been a chaotic kitchen with military precision. The wedding went off without a hitch and was very 'us' - thank you, Edelina!
Angie of Honey Do Wedding and Event Planners was one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. She was affordable (especially for a student and military wedding) but always made us feel like her number one clients. Not only was she a great value, but she went over and above what we were expecting. We hired her to be our day of coordinator, but we met with her on a regular basis and she always responded to all calls, texts, and emails. Angie is incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and has connections with various other wedding vendors. As a same sex couple, she never treated us any differently than an opposite-sex couple, and she actually was great at recognizing the subtle differences that come with having two brides. At our first meeting at a potential venue, Angie came prepared with examples of her work and binder with all of our info. She even printed out new forms that said bride and bride instead of bride and groom. These small but significant touches are what make Angie stand out among other wedding planners. She helped us negotiate with vendors to get better prices and confirmed all vendors the week of, lifting a lot of the stress off of our shoulders. We can't speak highly enough of Angie and the Honey Do family!
We can not express into words the phenomenon job that Extravagant Affairs did for our wedding on 11/05/2016. From the time that we chose them to handle our catering needs to the very end of our special day, their team handled every detail with the highest level of class and commitment. Our guests are still talking about the excellent food selection. If you are looking for elegance, price affordability, and professionalism, I would definitely recommend them
Michele and Laura are absolutely amazing and I highly suggestion them for any type of event! They were such a delight I now consider them friends. I hired them as day of planner for my wedding about 30 days before the wedding date and they jumped right in and help me with all details and logistics for the day so I didn't have to think about anything. They worked with all of the vendors I hired to coordinate and schedule out the day of the wedding as well as the details needed before the day. They also came to every meeting with me that I had at the hotel(reception site) from the day I hired them to the day before the wedding. They were there to protect me and my ideas and vision for my wedding day. Every email I sent with questions was answered within hours if not sooner. And trust me, I sent a lot of emails :-) My wedding was amazing and I owe it to them for it being possible. They were able to source signs and décor I wanted last min,the day before the wedding!!There were some hiccups that happened the "Day of" but I didn't even know about them because Michele and Laura from hotel to the church helped smooth it all out and knew what I wanted and were able to make decisions for me. They really do it all, the hotel coordinator left before my desserts were plated, so Michele and Laura were in the kitchen plating desserts for the buffet. And the last song of the night Michele, the multi-talented lady that she is, played the drums with our band!! Honestly, their professionalism, coordinating skills and genuine care and passion for their events make these two the BEST!
Jacqueline was the most professional, warm, efficient wedding planners I've ever worked with! She made sure to keep the wedding party updated with itineraries & the wedding went off without a hitch! I HIGHLY recommend Jacqueline & hope to use her for my wedding!
Omg!!!! What can I say about Bianca she is god sent. I first seek a wedding planner in 2015 my wedding is 07/07/17. She has been with me every step of the way weather it's exchanging ideas or dealing with last minute issues. I would recommend her gladly knowing that she will get the job done. I really appreciate you and the hard work time and years that you have put into my wedding. I am still at this point trying to make up parties so that I can still keep her around. Where do I begin?!!! Trina and her team were amazing! I initially reached out early last year just looking for quotes on decor setup. Trina responded immediately with a very professional and friendly response. Several months later, it was because of that response, that I reached out again. This time I also needed day of coordination services, along with the decor setup and tear down. She retained her professionalism and after our phone consultation, my wife and I knew we wanted to hire Affairs Remembered. Trina was a true blessing from the very beginning. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer, and her response time was very quick. Her pricing beat out all the rest, and was extremely fair. She never made us feel like we had "dumb" questions. We loved the fact that she was open to our suggestions, but when needed, advised us of a better solution she thought would work better. We appreciated that honesty since we had been planning on our own for so long. Much to our surprise Trina began taking over almost immediately. She maintained her professionalism when problems occurred and made us feel comfortable that we could trust her, and her team on our wedding day. Our ceremony and reception were outdoors and due to the weather Trina took good care to make respectful suggestions for our families in regards to having to tolerate the unexpected cold. With so many last minute changes, Trina communicated with all of our vendors, and made sure everything would still be executed according to our contracts. The day of our wedding, Trina and her team went above and beyond in all aspects. They called to make sure our hair and makeup team arrived on time, they tracked down park rangers when our caterer was stuck at the entrance of our reception location, the list goes on. They made sure my wife and I were calm, comfortable, and happy the entire day. Trina rearranged our timelines last minute when we took more time for our photos. She handled our families with respect, even when they were complaining. The biggest issue of the day was when a vendor was a no show. She tracked them down, and didn't take no for an answer in trying to resolve our major issue. She even offered to help mediate several days later to make sure we were refunded accordingly. You can trust one of the most important days of your life in Affairs Remembered's hands. Being someone who thought I had it all figured out, hiring Affairs Remembered was one of the smartest decisions I made. Our ceremony decor was breathtaking! Not once did we feel our wedding wasn't important because it was small and non-traditional. In Trina's eyes, our wedding wasn't just a "park wedding" but was just as important as a huge extravaganza would have been. We hired Lisa to be our on-site wedding coordinator a month before the big day, and she jumped right in and helped everything run smoothly and efficiently. She worked with the on-site staff to decorate and prepare the venue and she did a great job. Would recommend Lisa to others.
READ THIS IF YOU WANT EVERY WONDERFUL DETAIL!!!!!!!! I first got engaged in April of 2017 and am a physician in Virginia. My fiance and I were looking for a wedding planner who would be able to put together a wedding reception that looked like an outdoors starry night...but INSIDE a ballroom. I had heard of Mitch via a family friend and through some research....when he came to visit my mother and I for the first time, we were incredibly relieved. Before we had even officially hired him, he already went to work! On the FIRST day he met us, he already brought in ideas, venues, prices, and significantly reduced rates on everything he presented because of his extensive relationship with his vendors (he has been doing this for a very long time and I swear he knows everyone)! The take home point about Mitch is simple.....he will give you UNBELIEVABLE results at a price that you could not imaging possible. His artistic abilities are unmatched...he designed a candle lit forest for me INSIDE a boring ballroom and even changed the ceiling of the ballroom into a beautifully lit piece of art (circus ceiling style with crystal chandeliers levitating to the flowers on each table with floating orbs of candle lights). I come from a large Egyptian family and Mitch is very experienced in hiring specific vendors for YOUR specific wedding needs. Again, he is EXPERIENCED and is not new to the process. There are thousands of times where Mitch would handle situations and prevent stress from even coming to my mother and I. I CAN ACTUALLY SAY THAT I HAD A COMPLETELY STRESS FREE WEDDING AND REHEARSAL DINNER!!!!!!!!! And as for the wedding....everything went as planned EXACTLY...not one thing went wrong even though the old saying goes that you should prepare yourself for something....well....we actually had a perfect wedding. Mitch even surprised me with a firework entrance for my husband and I....this is how Mitch is...he is among the most kind and LOYAL people I know. If you want a wedding planner who will literally take away your stress and create a wedding above what you could ever imagine, Mitch is the one!!!! <3
Aly goes above and beyond for her clients. There's no such thing as it cant be done when you have Aly coordinate your wedding. She listens to what you have to say and what you want and make sure it fits into the overall theme of your wedding. Shes always there when you need her no matter what time of the day or night. I would recommend all my friends to use her for their weddings.
We never had a wedding ceremony and reception when we eloped 10 years ago. Now that we had the funds, and our 10-year anniversary was coming up, we thought it would be a good time to finally have the wedding we never had. I am so glad we hired a wedding planner. We knew we wouldn't have time to research the vendors, nor know which vendor to choose, and we wanted everything to go smoothly on the day of the wedding. Tynise of Pure Elegance Events did all the work we knew we didn't have time to do and presented various vendors for our wedding for us to choose. She stayed in constant contact with us throughout the preparations, and followed up on our questions and comments via emails. We told her exactly what we wanted, and she made sure to make it happen. Even though we started the planning a few months later than normal, Tynise made everything work while staying within budget. On the day of, Tynise brought two assistants to help out the bridal party while she was running logistics with the hotel coordinator. Even the DJ commented on how she was on top of things. When everything was over, she and her assistants helped the hotel staff clean up everything that evening, both in the ballroom and ceremony room, so there was no need for us to wake up early the next day and clean up. Nothing went wrong on wedding day. Absolutely nothing. Everything was set up perfectly, and we were able to view the reception set up before the ceremony began. We also tried to help out by giving Tynise a printed layout of how we wanted things set up, a full list of the ceremony and reception items, the wedding party's names and contact information, and specific requests as early in the planning as possible. Tynise and her assistants, Amanda and Katie, were the best. Hiring Pure Elegance Events was the best decision we made.
We were the photographer for a wedding that Creative Design Consultants was the wedding planner for. Creative Design Consultants did a fantastic job! They were our liaison with the bride and groom and answered every question that we had. All responses came fast and any questions we had were answered completely and professionally. The professionalism was outstanding! Creative Design Consultants was a pleasure to work with. I would encourage anyone needing a top wedding or event planner to contact Creative Design Consultants! When my now wife and I set out to plan our wedding, we were one of those couples who thought hiring a planner was unnecessary. We had roughly 6 months to pull it off. We fancy ourselves as reasonably intelligent and financially responsible people and we thought that was plenty of time. Fast forward 4 months. The stress began to mount and panic had set in. Our budget is dwindling. We broke down and decided to hire a day-of coordinator. Better late than never, but who do we call? Every one we spoke to was either way too expensive or not the right fit personality wise. Thanks to Thumbtack, we found Vanessa. We are incredibly happy we did and we couldn't have pulled off our awesome wedding without her. Here's just a few of the reasons why: 1) Attitude - She has the PERFECT demeanor for event planning. She kept us on track, but was never pushy. Very personable and easy to talk to. Every time we spoke to her we felt both at ease and motivated to check more off of our list. 2) Creativity - Simply put she has great ideas. Whether it was decor, logistics, floor planning, etc., she listened to our inputs (which weren't always in lockstep - welcome to married life) but put here own spin on things. Our wedding was weeks ago and we still are getting comments on how beautiful everything was. 3) Contacts - Vanessa made great recommendations for vendors, and didn't do so based on any kickbacks or financial gain to herself. In fact, we had one vendor who was somewhat flaky that we had already booked. She was able to line up a "just in case" vendor for us. 4) Organization - Nothing fell through the cracks and she thought of small details we didn't have the capacity to (because we were too busy being crazy pants). 5) Value - She is worth every penny and I would argue she is a bargain for the service she provides. This is especially in comparison to other planners out there. If you need help planning an event, not just a wedding, we highly suggest you reach out to Vanessa @ Little Black Book. Olivia paid attention to every detail and was always punctual and professional throughout my whole wedding planning. Especially because I was clueless on certain aspects of wedding planning, Olivia was able to guide me step by step and stick with my timeline. She was always quick to respond to all of my questions. I was extremely pleased with how she provided service far beyond my expectations. I don't think I would've been able to plan and enjoy my wedding day if I didn't have her help and guidance :)!
This is my first experience with a wedding planner so I want to be fair. ,First, I think she had to deal with s tough bride did well. Our budget was pretty low and she did pretty good at staying in it. We loved the venue she found us. On the wedding day she brought helpers with her and they all did an amazing job! The wedding went perfect. The service couldn't have been better. The whole night was a blast! So, I will say, yes I would recommend Phoriah Events! She did our wedding while being ready to have her baby at any time. Very Happy. We have wonderful memories forever.
K.Chic Events did our family reunion which was incredible and in the making for a year! KISHA kept all family members abreast to what was going on since a lot of the family lived out of town! Kisha even went out of her way to handle lounging for some of the family. That was a major plus.The food,decorations,DJ was absolutely fabulous!! Kisha even had a few surprises for us (the family) with shirts with every member name on it,celebrating my mothers' birthday, plus my 40th wedding anniversary! Kisha professionalism was incredible!
