I have worked with some amazing trainers and Mike is one of my favorites. I have a pretty high fitness level and I feel like he really takes the time to educate me about why we are doing an exercise and coaching me on form. I learn so much from him. It's great because it gives me a little more to take home than just a great workout!
Rich is an amazing trainer. I've been working with him for over four years on a weekly basis. I'm 68 and now I am stronger more fit than I was at 58. He is knowledgeable, patient, supportive. He has a great sense of humor and finds a way to make workouts enjoyable. There is no way I would have done what I've been able to do over these last year's without his help.

Anthony is a great fitness trainer/neutrition coach. The energy and vibe Anthony creates in his gym makes me get up and want to exersize first thing in the morning. He is Very encouraging and knows what he's doing. He consults first, gives a test and makes a plan, and he adjusts it to your body's needs(to get fit n healthy but not to strain it too much, if you have or had an injury) but enough to make it challenging. The best gym I've been to in years, as I keep moving around it's hard to find really great trainers. As long as I live in Lansing I'll be coming here. I have had many fitness trainers and I wasn't feeling it, when I come here I can feel the progress being made, and it makes me want to come back. Love westside fitness Lansing. Before this gym and Anthony i didn't like exersizing nor was I that eager to exersize and get fit.

Kelli has helped me with both diet/macro tips and my workout routine. She is one of those rare trainers who will give you her full attention in the gym as well as suggest a training/nutrition program tailor made to your needs, instead of some generic bro science!
Deana has been supportive while still holding me accountable and challenging me to push further. She has been consistent in her communication of my exercise and eating plan. Our workouts are only thirty minutes but have done more to shape my body than hours of cardio or cross training has ever done. I'm much stronger and healthier and I have reduced my exercise time. My experience with Brittany has been, to say the least, exceptional. I am a 57 year old female, in relatively good shape but my balance, coordination and overall fitness were declining. I lost interest in trying to learn how to properly work out because I had a very negative experience with another personal trainer. Brittany has been patient, supportive, and professional. She gears the planned workout to the individual's needs and skills, makes it fun, and challenging (but not too challenging or discouraging). After my first session, I couldn't believe how great I felt! Because of her knowledge and expertise, I have become more fit without enduring any physical injuries or loss of self esteem! She will accommodate your schedule and location for sessions. Brittany's skill and demeanor is compatible with a wide age-range and with any gender. Not only am I using Brittany but so is my daughter, age 17. I would highly recommend Brittany for personal training.

I would highly recommend Jerry Pitman to anyone who is ready to change not only their health, but their whole lifestyle for the better and here is why... I have been overweight most of my life. In my adult years, I have tried many times and many ways to loose the weight with little success. I've joined two different gyms on two different occasions and hired two different trainers at those gyms with little and temporary results. That all changed 6 months ago when I met Jerry. For the past year or so, I watched one of my good friends change physically and mentally into a healthy, fit person with an incredible amount of energy. I had to know how she did it. She told me about her trainer, Jerry. My first reaction was to roll my eyes and think, been there...done that. Yeah, he won't be any different than the other two. But, I needed some kind of spark to get me to change myself, so I called Jerry. He was completely different than what I expected and have experienced in the past. Jerry spent the first couple of sessions getting to know my fitness goals and "getting inside my head." Figuring out why I had failed in the past, so that I wouldn't fail again. That's what makes him such a a great trainer. He doesn't just write up an exercise plan, he trains your mind also. He works very hard to keep you with the program and help you succeed. He knows his stuff and I trust him completely with my health. So far I have lost 45lbs and have dropped 3 sizes. I have muscle tone and have reached fitness goals I never thought I would. I haven't been this weight in 17 years and I owe it all to Jerry! You won't find a trainer who will work harder to help you break through what ever barrier that is keeping you from your fitness goal than Jerry Pitman.

Kyle Gagneau is truly a great guy! This summer Kyle was my personal fitness trainer. His way of stewardship towards me was truly remarkable. The way he works with people is quite responsible and dependable. He takes in challenges and he comes up with an answer no matter the situation or dilemma. He makes challenges fun to achieve. Kyle has a great personality and is very kind to others. If I could work with anyone of my choice, I would choose Kyle! He is definitely a man of his word.

Kelly hands down is one of the top trainers. To be honest I have work with others and no one has given me the results I was looking for. She will push you but she will also make you feel great about yourself along the way.

In 2004, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. For some eight years, I stewed and fell deeper and deeper into depression. My weight ballooned out of control and peaked at 350 lbs by the end of 2011. In the beginning of 2012, I decided I needed a change. Overnight, I overhauled my diet in a reasonable way that still allowed me some of my favorite "bad" foods. In roughly 11 months, I lost 150 lbs, no fad diets, no pills, no nonsense. I spent most of my free time researching nutrition, training and physiology. I watched hundreds of hours of lectures, training footage and discussions. I read numerous research articles on all the major concerns related to weight loss, strength training and muscle-building. I learned how to effectively and intelligently structure a program for nearly anyone, no matter what their goals are. I am currently pursuing proper certification and am seeking a bachelor's degree at minimum in the field of exercise science and kinesiology. I will start this winter. Fitness is my passion in life, and I hope I can help you on your journey toward better health, a better body and a better outlook on life.
