"Spending a portion of the day cooking with Sarah might have been the most productive time I’ve spent in the kitchen. I have always preferred to prepare most of my meals myself, but I was struggling with making use of certain fresh ingredients before they would go bad. I explained my needs to Sarah, and she assured me this is something she is indeed an expert in. A few days before our meeting, Sarah and I exchanged messages so that we could chat about what dishes we would prepare and what type of diet restrictions I have. I do have a few diet restrictions, so when Sarah stated she would customize a menu based on my needs, I was excited!
I was provided with a list of items needed for each meal so that I could shop it on my own before the day Sarah would come to my home. She even chose items that were available at the store I shop from, plus alternatives if needed. There were a lot of ingredients that I already had also.
On the day of, Sarah instructed me on the best order to chop and prepare things so that things would stay as fresh as possible. The entire time we were either chopping ingredients while things are cooking in the oven and on the stove, working very efficiently. By the time we were finished (with a small break for quick lunch, including things we had made!), I had several meals ready to eat for days to come.
Even if you are someone who cooks often, having Sarah help you in the kitchen can make all the difference. I used foods that I love but have never known how to cook before, but now I do!"
