Our experience working with Leave it to Meeka for my daughter's graduation party was nothing short of amazing! From the very beginning, Meeka's responsiveness and friendly demeanor set the tone for what would be an wonderful celebration. Her wealth of creative ideas ensured that the party was tailored precisely to my daughter's vision. On the big day, Meeka and her exceptional team swooped in and took care of every detail, from the decorations and delicious food to setting up tables and chairs – they left no stone unturned. When the festivities concluded, they returned to dismantle everything and even took care of storing the leftovers, sparing me any effort. Meeka's dedication didn't stop there; she generously offered to stay throughout the party, ready to replenish food and maintain cleanliness, although we didn't require these additional services. I wholeheartedly endorse Meeka and her company to anyone seeking to elevate their event while keeping the planning and execution utterly stress-free!

Meeka was great to work with on a Surprise 60th Birthday party for my wife. The theme was a Black and Gold " When Harry Met Sally" style New Year's Eve party. Meeka had great decoration ideas that flowed from the 1st Zoom Meeting to the day we met at the venue to the day of the party. A small example: A few days before the party, when Meeka heard I did not have a cake/cupcake stands, she said "I have that covered" (a common response she had during the planning for the party) and she brought a cake stand and cupcake stands. From the big picture to the fine details, Meeka was on target with the theme and really helped pulled off a great event. She and her team really made the venue sparkle. Meeka is just a nice person to work with; great at listening and then responding in a positive way. Thanks again, Chris

Meeka was kind, communicative, great to talk to, and had lots of ideas and suggestions for my event! I never felt like I was pressured to do anything, but her insight from her vast experience in decorating for my wedding, even with some planning aspects (I only hired her for decorating service) was so appreciated and helpful. She was completely fine with me emailing her a bunch of ideas as they came to my mind, and she did make sure to keep in touch to let me know she was still working on ideas, amongst the many other events she's hired for. I wanted relatively simple decor with emphasis on a few important details or areas and she 100% delivered. I will say that I am a "plan everything months ahead of time" type of person (aka, opposite of a procrastinator) and of course, overall wedding jitters all culminated in me being nervous as time drew nearer for finalization of planning but I knew from previous reviews that Meeka has a lot of experience, including planning last-minute events. So if you're like me, who gets antsy when things aren't done super early, just take a breath and calm yourself, Meeka WILL deliver :) I also asked her to arrange flowers for me and my bridal party (as well as simple boutonnieres for my family) and I LOVED how beautiful and vibrant they turned out! Overall, Meeka and her team were wonderful and I'm glad I hired her!

I can’t say enough about how amazing Meeka was in helping bring my dream wedding to life. About 2 months prior to my wedding, I was in search of a day-of coordinator because I planned and DIY’d a lot of my decor for my special day but just really wanted support with flow of day, set up/take down, and have a one stop shop for questions so myself, my family, and my wedding party could enjoy the day. I found Meeka on Thumbtack and she responded within an hour with her availability. From there she was accessible for any questions or ideas I had and assured me to not stress and “Leave it to Meeka.” She helped create a timeline that she shared with the rest of my vendors and made herself the main point of contact. Come day of, Meeka and her assistant Amanda arrived on time and were able to handle all of my decor set up and vendor coordination. The ceremony and reception was absolutely perfect and I couldn’t have done it without them! It was bittersweet at the end of everything because we spent so much time talking and bringing my special day to life, it was sad to say goodbye! Thank you so much to Meeka and Amanda for such a wonderful wedding day and if I have any other event planning needs, I definitely know who to reach out to!

My now husband and I hired Leave it to Meeka to be our wedding planner/day of event. We were so lucky and grateful to be able to hire her, considering it was short notice, hiring her in July for an early August wedding. We had been up in the air about hiring a planner/coordinator, but looking back, we are SO glad we did! Meeka was professional, friendly, and flexible, working together with me to make a plan that worked for both of us, as I had already planned most of the wedding. She brought forth ideas that I hadn't thought of and proposed some additional decoration ideas that added some perfect finishing touches to make our wedding look and feel the way we imagined and hoped for. Before the wedding, Meeka attended my pre wedding meeting at the venue, which was great to get the venue and her acquainted before the date, and she also came to the rehearsal to help us practice. On the day of the wedding, Meeka and her assistant (who was also great!) were available all day and stayed until the end of the ceremony, ensuring that my husband and I had all of our cards and gifts, as well as our decorations to take home. Meeka made sure that my train looked right before walking down the aisle, she ensured that we got plates of the appetizers and food made up for us, and she even hunted down a piece of cheesecake for me after it had been taken away, as I had been too busy having a good time to eat it beforehand. Between the finishing touches she proposed, helping with the entrance, coordinating with the vendors (including delivering their checks on my behalf), and making sure everything was tied up at the end of the night so we didn't have to worry about it, MEEKA WAS AMAZING AND SO WORTH IT! My husband and I would recommend her services for anyone planning a special event! Pictured are some items we hired her and her team to make for us: the flowers on the chairs the backdrop behind the sweetheart table the candles we had by the gift table the Mr & Mrs sign we rented and how she decorated our sweetheart table (centerpiece done by outside florist already hired) We also had her team make our seating chart, which we were very pleased with, and we also rented small candles for the tables and a gift box.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our fees vary and are totally dependent upon the clients' needs. All of our proposals are tailored to each client and event because they all have different needs. The base amount for our services start at $1900.00. We also have quite a few items available for rent if hired for our decorating services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A complimentary telephone consultation is scheduled. During our call, I take notes and ask questions regarding the pertinent details of the event. I then send over a Proposal that will list what services are included as they relate to the event discussed, along with a price and a retainer fee. The client approves the proposal, pays the retainer, and then I forward my Service Agreement electronically for the client to sign. After these steps, planning for the event starts!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained with some of the top designers in the industry including Mr. Preston Bailey, globally recognized for his ability to transform spaces, and others in the world of floral design including, Atosha Barboza Bennett of Larger Than Life Events and Sarah Campbell of Intrigue Designs. I am also an accredited event designer/planner through The Institute of Wedding and Event Design and Behind the Veil Academy.
