We had a fantastic dinner experience with Christine as our Chef! She provided an evening family meal for 8 adults and 3 children to celebrate retirement. Appetizers, dinner and dessert were provided. Not only was dinner delicious, but Christine was kind, competent, efficient, and she left our kitchen sparkling. We would most definitely hire her again for a future event.

We had a 90th birthday party for my dad on a sunday afternoon. Just 45 people at our home but I could not have done it without Chef Jeff Catering. The menu was Chicken Parmesan, steamed green beans with red peppers (very crism and not at all over cooked), a colorful and fresh salad, dinner rolls and some of the best cookies I ever tasted (very soft and chocolatey). We also had appetizers that were very professionally created. Tracy was in charge of our party, and she was so understanding to work with as our guest list kept fluctuation (as it does when you are inviting people in this age group). The food was delicious and Tracy kept it warm without drying it out, despite the many hours that the party expanded (11:00 AM till 4:00). Many people asked for her card and even my sister-in-law, who is very picky, gave hearty compliments. Tracy was there to help no matter what needed to be done including picking up dishes throughout the house, and seving the cake that someone else brought. She was also a friendly and warm person and a joy to work with. The bill was extremely reasonable, I was very surprised. I will definitely hire Chef Jeff again.

Great Experience! We had issues with our first caterer up until the week of the wedding. We fired the other caterer only days before the event, after contacting Luzette. We finally got the customer service and attention we deserved. They were excellent. Extremely responsive, professional, accomodating, executed perfectly, food was great. The chef and servers made our guests feel like royalty! They really came through for us and would recommend them!!

Julia was AMAZING. She was the first baker we had a tasting with and after meeting with her we never saw anyone else! Our cupcakes were delicious and tastefully color coordinated to our wedding. She was early, brought boxes for us to pack any leftovers in, brought a gift!!, and most importantly treated us as if she's known us for years. One of the best professionals I have ever worked with. Not only is the food great every time, but the service is outstanding, deliveries timely, every detail accounted for and best of all...Steve works with you every step of the way to make sure you are at ease and everything goes as it should. We've used By Word of Mouth for corporate luncheons, employee parties, our annual Christmas party, and most recently an executive dinner featuring a 7course meal for international clients. I don't know where he gets his staff, but they are all exceptional and reflect Steve's very calm and in control demeanor, with a pleasantness that is well received by all our guests. Steve even pulled off a last minute job for 100 people for us with less than 2 days to prepare. Our "other" caterer over booked themselves leaving us high and dry. Looking back, I don't know why we didn't go with Steve in the first place. All of us here at the office would recommend Steve and his staff over and over.

Orlando was simply fantastic. Great chef, great personality. Talked with all the guests that wondered into the kitchen. All the food was excellent, however, if you use Orlando, you MUST have his Caesar Salad. His home-made dressing was the talk of all 10 guests. Best ever! Highly recommend.

Gail cook for our family this past winter. She made dinners, but also lunches and appetizers. Everything she did was wonderful, perfectly prepared with healthy ingredients. She also spent two days teaching my 11 year old granddaughter how to cook. My granddaughter loved every minute, made great things, and learned many principles of cooking. Gail is not only a good cook but a wonderful, honest and good person.

Sue is an excellent chef and cook. When she caters an event she is professional and friendly. The pizza's we order for our garlic harvest crew are always excellent and careful attention is paid to ingredients (which I am pretty picky about). Sue is also adaptable. I know when I first knew her she sometimes used ingredients I was not very interested in but she has gleaned so much experience cooking at co-ops and local and organic food restaurants, that she knows how to cook with everything our local foodshed has to offer.

Usually a caterer will determine cost based on the type of event you’re having, how many guests will attend, the level of service you desire, and what type of menu you’d like to have.
