VanVleet Construction hired Hannay Electric to install bathroom lighting fixtures at our bathroom remodeling customers home in Plymouth, MN. Bill gave a clear and accurate estimate, he was polite, professional and cleaned up after himself. Our customer loved her new lighting and we are happy to say we found a new reliable electrician for our remodeling services. Wether your changing an electrical panel, needing underground electrical, new home construction or remodeling we believe Hannay Electric would be a good choice. They have fair prices and do very good work.
Great job on the house projects required. Installed two bathroom ventilation fans. Very responsive to inquiries, timely and did a very great job.
I had an electrical outage in part of my house. Will quickly assessed he problem and fixed it. He was very professional and I'm looking forward to having him back to do other work.
Don repaired my fence that had been damaged in a storm and was outstanding with his work. He took it upon himself to shore up a few posts that he felt needed more stability at no charge. He quoted me a fair price and delivered in the time he said. I was very impressed with the work that Don did and I will definitely be using him for further house projects and will be recommending him to many others. THANKS DON!
As with any house, 55+ years old, there are uneven floors, out-of-date finishes, no-longer-standard fixtures, a bad update or two and odd corners. Our job for Jamie was to work with all of those realities and still complete a finished carpenter's quality replacement of baseboards and casings throughout the upper level. Not a single glitch, situation or scenario was too much for his skill level or his friendly, calm demeanor. A relaxed, yet professional attitude was necessary for this job. He is the only carpenter we'll ever call from this day forward. Oh, and he even got our freaked out Chihuahua to mellow out.
Northern Rx did an absolutely phenomenal job on our guest bathroom remodel. From the time they quoted the project to the finish of the project (which was only 1 week!) they were responsive, honest, and did amazing work. They were able to fit our 2 day project in between bigger projects and we are very thankful for their flexibility. The quality of the tiling work is fantastic and we plan on going with Northern Rx for future remodels. Also, their prices were very reasonable and affordable. We have worked with 5 other contractors this year already for different things around our house and Northern Rx was the best and easiest to work with. You won't regret hiring them.
I hired Nick (Top Notch Roofing) and his team to reroof my house in September 2016. Overall I was satisfied with the job that was done. Nick is patient, creative, and committed to customer satisfaction. My project included working with a second company to insulate the roof at the same time that Nick's team was re-roofing my house. When the insulation company increased the scope of their work at the last minute, Nick was flexible to accommodate those changes. He also stepped up with a plan that would keep the project on time. There was minor damage to the inside of the house from the roofing work but Nick was accommodating in making those repairs. I received estimates from five roofing contractors and I found Top Notch Roofing to be price competitive. I recommend Top Notch Roofing. Nick takes pride in what he does. You will be well cared for.
Great experience. Julio installed a new wood railing in my home and it looks beautiful. The total time between initial estimate and project completion was 11 days--which we especially appreciated because we have a baby due really soon. Julio has an eye for design and kept making improvements/suggestions throughout the installation process. I felt that he did not cut any corners and truly wanted to produce a quality product, even though I know the project took him longer than he initially expected. Julio is also very friendly and personable. Also, he's great with dogs--we had no problem letting our dog roam around while they were at the house.
If you are looking for help decorating your house look no further. Stacy is your gal. I refer to her to my friends as the Joanna Gains of MSP for rustic chic (although she can do any aesthetic you are dreaming of)! I hired her to help me furnish and decorate my new construction home. She was always very attentive and had a wonderful game plan to help me tackle such a huge task. She came over and measured my home and took pictures. She then gave me a 3D rendering of my home decorated! It was STUNNING. We then went on several shopping trips to buy the large pieces together. Later on we went on trips to find the perfect accessories at places an interior designer would only know about! Stacy was a great listener and was flexible if any pieces didnt speak to me. She was happy to point out other options that would look just as nice. Finally, Stacy got some amazing designer discounts at the large box stores. On the shopping front Stacy is happy to do as little or as much as you need! She can go with you or tell you what to find, whatever your preference. She is also a master stager and thriftstore expert too! Stacy not only does typical furniture placement, shopping, and decorating...she is also an architect who can make a ton of the creative projects she proposes in your home for you. You don't have to hire yet another person. Wonder woman I tell you!!! Stacy made us a custom mud room bench built in HERSELF. She used reclaimed wood from all over the state and from barns! She also made us a custom chalkboard wall. Stacy's daughter took the pictures for our collage wall that will line our steps, they are the things of dreams! Stacy also picked out a wonderful reclaimed wood wall paper for above the fireplace that is unlike anything I have ever seen. To sum up it Stacy is a joy to work with, she is a friend at this point. She can literally do it all. She is flexible on all counts and can help you as little or as much as you like at a very fair price point. If you haven't already, just hire stay. You won't regret it. -Tory
Mark did a great job installing a soffit and gutter on my house. Very affordable price and I couldn't be happier with his work. Thanks again, Mark!
Had a drywall repair job after grass cloth wall paper was removed that the painters we had hired felt was too difficult for them to repair. Jeff did a wonderful job. He responded quickly to our request for help, gave us a good price and finished the work efficiently and cleaned up. The results were great. The painters can come back and finish up now! Will highly recommend Dave Construction to family and friends in the future!
Im so pleased to find Kel Heyl on Thumbtack as now he will be available to even more homeowners. Kel has done work on and in my home since 2004, from very large projects to small tasks. I love that he is such a careful, creative and meticulous craftsman his work is never slapdash. Ive always been very happy with the results, and can recommend him highly to anyone interested in having work done on their home by somebody who knows what hes doing, and will do it well. Built screened porch, based on his own design. (2004) Removed a chain-link fence and posts. (October 2004) Removed textured ceilings in living room and dining room. Ripped and installed new molding for both rooms. Installed a chandelier. (April 2010) Installed a new entry door to porch, including altering and adapting the jamb. (June 2009) Hung antique coat rack. (2008) Installed a new pre-hung access door for garage. (June 2009) Re-screened porch panels damaged by cat and raccoons. (July 2011) Hung a magnetic knife rack. (February 2012) Re-shingled garage roof, first removing old layers down to bare wood. (August 2012)
Issues around our house were quickly resolved.
I can honestly say you'll never find a better handyman then Chuck. His estimate was very accurate and much less than the others. He is incredibly professional in everything that he does. He even took the time to show my 7 year old what he was doing and answered ALL of the questions he had! Incredibly prompt communication and he is very honest which is hard to find now a days. I really wish I had hired Chuck 2 years ago when we first moved into our house. I can honestly say I'll never look for another handyman again!
We wanted to take this time to say what a great job Tru-Build did on our bathroom remodel. Ryan and Tessa are an amazing duo to work with. Tessa met with us and discussed our bathroom options and provided us with an interior design session that let us narrow down everything from the heated towel bar to the drawer knobs. Tru-build provided a high-end luxury look at an affordable price. In fact, they blew the other bids out of the water. As my husband and I are working professionals and have pets, they were considerate of our needs during the construction process. Tessa was onsite to meet the subcontractors every day and made sure our house was in tip top shape during the construction. The custom built cabinetry and glass shower door turned out amazing. I am truly impressed with Ryan and Tessa as they kept us in the loop during the entire project. I highly recommend using Tru-Build for your next remodel project.
Hired to do insulation and some roof work. The insulation truthfully made zero difference in the comfort of my home, but I think that's more my house than their work. They were competitive in pricing, on time, knowledgeable, and followed up in a timely manner. Overall a pleasant experience and I would hire them again.
Anthony did an excellent job with our project. We had him remove a railing with spindles that separated our kitchen and family room, and he built us a custom half wall/built-in shelf. It turned out perfectly. He was able to translate what I was looking for (but didn't know exactly how to describe) into a plan and then the final product. Also, I was amazed he took at look at our trim and was able to match it just by sight...we have a slightly off-white trim and the former owners of our house did not leave touch up paint. I have been trying to find the match for several years, and he knew it immediately, just on sight!
F&P listened really well to what I wanted in my new home and used as many of my ideas as they thought feasible. When there was a change to be made, it was always for the better design-wise or money-wise. I was amazed at how they could come up with a drawn-up plan that was just what I wanted, even though I did not always have a clear picture in my own mind. They opened up a load-bearing wall between my living room and dining room, making sure that the city engineers came out to help figure out the safest way to accomplish it and to sign off on the plans. F&P came up with a cost-saving solution for an old shower in the basement, which saved me doing an entire bath remodel. In my galley kitchen, F&P built and installed a small flip up butcher block table by the back garden window, for having a solo meal or cup of tea, while gazing out the window. They put in new baseboards throughout the house and installed new doors. In the front entry, F&P removed the 1950's style floor-to-ceiling poles and instead designed a half-wall to fit around a bench with storage spaces for shoes which I had and wanted to use, for people to sit on when entering and for separating entry space from the rest of the living room. They designed and built it like furniture, with a finished look: inset panels and a top mantel-like ledge resting on cove molding. F&P cleaned up each day after their work, neatly stowing tools and materials and vacuuming/sweeping up construction dust. This was MUCH appreciated, as I was spending my evenings and time in between their work painting walls and woodwork. Everything was done with care for design, safety and budgeting. F&P always presented a complete written estimate of the cost, coming in at or sometimes, below the estimate. If there was an unexpected cost or choice to be made, they consulted me first, my decision being the final one. No hidden costs to surprise me in the end! I would not hesitate to use F&P Remodeling by Design for any future home remodeling and heartily recommend them for anyone wanting to remodel in their home.
Really happy with the end result. We had a few hiccups along the way (as you'd expect at least a few things to go wrong initially or be delayed once or twice when you're dealing with an old house and city inspections). They did a great job of communicating the whole way, and the conversation was always about how to fix it and next steps. And, as I said earlier, hard to argue with the end result. Thank you for your professionalism throughout the project.
We bought a house with a kitchen dating back to the 70's. We had Brandon come in and he provided a nice thorough estimate with a beautiful design. Nobody spent the time that he did examining the project. The crews were great. We had one small hiccup but Mike was very responsive and took care of the problem right away. We LOVE our Kitchen and would definitely recommend Executive to ANYONE!
They did great work on the remodel of my new kitchen. I ended up hiring them again on my son's bedroom remodel. I would recommend to any of my friends. Friendly and fair priced.
