FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A 30-minute lesson is $25. A 45-minute lesson is $35. A 60-minute lesson is $50. A 90-minute class (maximum of 15 students) is $105. Prices may vary based on student needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For some learners, we begin by discussing the student's goals. During a free trial lesson, a beginner will receive an orientation to the instrument. This includes posture, maintenance, mechanics and first notes. A student with some experience will play a great deal! I will ask to hear prepared pieces, works in progress and unfamiliar music. Throughout this time, I offer many suggestions for improvement and establish additional short-term and long-term goals. At the end, we will talk, review and plan for the next lesson. After the lesson is over, we will discuss my policies.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in music with an emphasis on performance. Also, I have received several years of training in education.
