I have worked with Preston Improvements on 2 major home renovations now. The first was converting 2 bays in our garage to a living area: bedroom, full bath, and living room. The second project was a complete gut and renovation of our kitchen. Included relocation of water, drain, gas, and electricity. Exceptional quality and a pleasure to work with. We hired BuildNow for our master bathroom renovation for our house we had just bought in Charlotte. We had a very tight timeline, but Jonathan and his team rose to the challenge and blew us away with the results. Even though we were living across state lines in GA preparing to move to NC, Jonathan did a great job keeping us informed and on track to stay within our timeline. He pointed out details we would never have considered (like the fall risk of our original shower floor tile we chose) and helped us troubleshoot several decisions remotely and couldn’t have been more helpful and patient throughout the process. We even threw extra work their way like ripping up old flooring and installing ceiling fans, and he gave us quotes quickly and got everything done before we moved in. After they finished the bathroom renovation, there were a few things that needed to be touched up, and they came out and knocked that out in a few hours without any hesitation. We are thrilled with our before and after pictures; it’s hard to believe it’s the same bathroom. You can’t go wrong hiring BuildNow. They’ll be our first call on any future renovations.

I had Russel come out to renovate our TV/Fireplace area and it was a great decision. He came out and did the job over the weekend and the wife and I couldn’t be happier. He stayed in contact with us during the process going over mantle options and paint colors for the accent wall. I had problems mounting shelves and he came out to get that little job done for me also.

Luis and his crew did a great job renovating our garage into a spare bedroom/play space. We got several bids for the project and Luis’ bid was the most affordable and reasonable. He also helped us source someone to do the masonry for our project and we were very satisfied with the quality of work. I would definitely recommend Luis and his team to anyone who is in need of drywall, painting, windows and trim work, and/or general contracting work.

We hired Dan as our GC for our home renovation. So far, it's been great working with him and his crew. Dan is quite knowledgeable and informative. He's been awesome at keeping us right on budget. He's also in touch with us. He lets us know what's going on, and always answers our calls or gets back to us in the evening. They have put in awesome flooring, baseboards, and painted ( and removed our popcorn from ceiling). We still have a few things were working on, but we are totally happy with the progress. Dan is our go guy!

I had a very disappointing experience with Ultimate Home Remodeling, particularly with Jenifer. I requested a quote for a home renovation, and she presented a flat fee of $95,000 without any breakdown of the costs for each item. There was no transparency about the expenses for specific repairs like doors, windows, flooring, or other essential items. This lack of detail was frustrating, especially after my realtor took the time to meet with them at the property, only to receive an incomplete and unclear proposal. It seems like they’re more focused on securing money rather than providing a transparent service. I asked them to be more specific and they refused. This kind of practice feels unprofessional and a waste of time. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for clarity and reliability in a contractor.
