Voice lessons with Johanna are a real treat! Johanna focuses on your specific needs - and makes CD's of your lessons, with you singing and her playing keyboards. It makes practicing more fun - and you will be able to hear your progress! Plus, she sings/plays locally, which is great inspiration!

My daughter has been going for singing lessons with Uzma and she is always happy. Uzma is great in giving the right kind of guidance and freedom to the students while keeping their focus on lesson.I would recommend Uzma for the next year.

My daughter is going to Keeley for an audition for college and it's only been two weeks. I am not a professional but I can definitely tell a difference in this short time. My daughter is use to singing in a choir and not solo but she is enjoying her lessons!

I am an older adult voice student who has been working with Dr. Warren for several months. I contacted her initially because I wanted to get my voice back in shape for choral singing after not being in a choir/concert chorus for many years. She has been wonderful to work with! -- always positive, with a great sense of humor and lovely mezzo soprano voice as well-- giving me vocalises and songs that are expanding my range slowly but surely. It is especially helpful that she can demonstrate vocal techniques with her own well-developed voice, so that one can both observe mouth positions and hear desired sounds. With a doctorate in Musical Arts and more than 30 years of experience in voice training, choral conducting, and church music ministries, Dr. Warren has been able to answer every musical question I've ever asked her, and add to my musical knowledge with many other details about composers, musical scores, and repertoire. On occasion, she is enjoyably assisted in her teaching by her husband's beautiful red eclectus parrot in the next room who says a friendly "hello" or injects a whistle (of purity to be envied!) into a student's scale or song. I can't imagine any student who would not benefit from her encouragement and teaching style.

Leslie works with my 12 year old son weekly, training him in the areas of voice/singing, acting, piano, and commercial voiceover and on-camera. She cares very deeply for her students and with positive reinforcement and individualized training, helps them to grow -- nurturing their talents and attaining their goals by acquiring and developing real skills. Leslie so often goes the extra mile, putting in far more time and effort than would be expected in that quest to see her students succeed. In the two years she has been my son's teacher, I have not only seen his talents develop, but I have seen his confidence grow immensely. She is not only a wonderful teacher but, in addition, because of her background and years of personal experience as a true working professional in the industry, she is also knowledgeable about the ins and outs of what it takes to become a stage, film and commercial actor/artist. She has been able to share so much information with us in order to help my son down this path. I am so grateful that Leslie is available to mentor my son with her skills as a talent and a teacher and impart "real world" knowledge of the "business" with us. I would highly recommend Leslie to any and all who desire proper training and guidance in the performing arts. Mandy P.

We had our first class with Kelli . She was very professional , friendly and helpful with my daughter's singing and vocal needs. Kelli is very talented with her many, various music styles. My daughter loves singing in musical theatre and needs Kelli's help with her pitch, timing and breathing techniques . I'm confident Kelli will be able to successfully help her with these needs.

This is my first time taking up professional vocal training. I wasn't sure how I'd do with vocal lessons because I don't have a lot of confidence in my singing. I'm really hard on myself when I mess things up, but Ms. Jennifer was so easy with me and explained things in ways so I could understand them well. Her exercises aren't overly complicated, which makes it easier for me to practice at home and I don't get frustrated so easily. She's a patient and sweet instructor, and I'm excited to see how I improve over the next year!

I have worked with Rozlyn for quite some time now. She is simply an EXCELLENT vocal instructor. I have been to seminars and done some self-studies on my own by purchasing some singing lessons and exercises through CDs by some highly respected vocal coaches. I knew so much when I listened to these CDs because Rozlyn had already taught me so much of what they were teaching on the CDs. She is simply an AWESOME vocal coach and a wonderful person as well!!!

I was apprehensive about beginning singing lessons, and was mostly just testing the waters when I submitted a request via Thumbtack, but when Kevin picked up my request and contacted me, I was sure it was something I wanted to do. Kevin's passion for music was apparent from moment one, and from the first lesson I was anticipating each one that would come after. Even in the first lesson I learned techniques that improved my ability to warmup my voice and stretch and explore my vocal range. Without a doubt I'm looking forward to our future lessons.

Catherine Alderman and Alderman Music Studios are an amazing place for a singer to grow and learn. Catherine is a supportive and expert teacher who brings out the best in her students. My daughter Sara started with Alderman Music Studios at 8 years old and four years later her vocal growth and education has been a joy to experience. Catherine has taught her to sing correctly, to care for her voice, to view her voice as an instrument and always to make musical choices in line with her age and experience. Her range has exploded and seeing her feel comfortable singing broadway to classical confirms our choice to work with the Alderman Music Studio. I have no doubt that the teachers working with Catherine at Alderman Music Studios bring the same skills, high educational standards, enthusiasm and support to their students.

Charlie has been teaching acoustic guitar to my 13 year old son for 7 years. He is an excellent instructor that is very patient with beginners. My son has made great progress in these 7 years and has expanded his lessons to include piano and dobro which Charlie has supported and instructed him in also. I would recommend Charlie to instruct any beginners in guitar, piano or dobro.

I, Manny, began with Dr. Daniel Collins as a true beginner in singing. I was very much self conscious and intimidated by singing in front of someone. From the start, Dan was patient, professional, and a true master of his field. He is well worth the investment as you will find with him a level of comfort and confidence in singing that I'm sure is rare to find with other maestros

My daughter has been playing piano for years but just started lessons with William. Whereas in the past I would have to remind her to practice, she now actively seeks time to play. William has sparked her enthusiasm and is encouraging her to learn to play and sing. She is also taking voice lessons with William and is learning to control and strengthen her voice. She loves the combination of piano and voice lesson and looks forward each week to her time with William.

I went in for my first voice lesson tonight. I had no idea what to expect and was a bit nervous. Jill took me through a few postural and breathing exercises. After that, she played some keys and listened to my ability to match my voice to them. Before the lesson, I was super nervous to sing in front of a stranger, but by the end of the lesson I sang a song in front of her! (one of my choosing) I am really looking forward to the next lesson - my confidence is already improving!
