Extremely caring, very professional, we received more in 50 minutes than we did in 6 months with our last therapist.
Lucie Knapp helped me tackle multiple issues during our work together which went on for about five years. She counseled and supported me on the many issues involved with my food addiction and binge eating disorder. She served as a coach both in person and in phone calls, teleconferences and emails. She always made herself available as a source of support. When I decided to change careers, she helped me in a very challenging transition from leaving a job of over ten years in order to return to school and pursue a new path. She is insightful, attentive, and supportive. She has a vast understanding of many challenges we all face in life. She listens and guides without pushing her own agenda which is a gift when it comes to social workers, therapists and life coaches. She is incredibly resourceful in suggesting books, workbooks and assignments to help in the goals you are trying to accomplish in life. Most importantly she provides a safe space and an understanding, encouraging presence which is what is needed to accomplish your goals, regardless of what they are. I highly suggest her for whatever you're trying to accomplish from weight loss to anxiety management to mindfulness to career changing/transitions.
I have found Rachel to be very helpful for my current situation. Not only do I learn about myself, but she provides additional resources for me, which has been extremely helpful.
Ms. McGraw performed lymphatic massage therapy for a duration of one hour. She was flexible enough to make a home visit, which was very helpful and convenient for me. I have worked with many a therapist over the years and hands down, Ms. McGraw provided a quality experience superior to all others. Without question, it is clear Ms. McGraw has a background in PT and is a very educated expert in her field. I recommend her without hesitation.
I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder in my twenties and BP II in my thirties. The social anxiety was treatable with medication (Clonazepam). My bipolar II diagnosis came after a long bout with depression where I found that most medication had either zero effect or an adverse effect on me, this is when I first tried psychotherapy. Following my fathers death I went through an extended hypomanic episode which led to a debilitating crash. I sought help and found Melissa Cramer / Grow Heal Love. Not every therapist will be the right one for you, I was very lucky to find Melissa Cramer. Our weekly sessions usually began with mindfulness training, a guided meditation that allowed me to be more present for talk therapy. I have had therapists turn me down as a client because “I may be disruptive” being bipolar and a sundry list of other absurdities. My BP disorder was a non-issue with Melissa. Yes, some days I may be racing a bit and talking a mile a minute or be a bit down but I always felt calm and centered after each session. Ms Cramer’s demeanor is the same when seeing me manic or depressed which I came to really appreciate, it’s a mood disorder not a death sentence. I feel a debt of gratitude to Melissa Cramer as through our sessions I am teaching again, making art and embarking on a new business endeavor.
I will start this review by saying I will tell everyone I know about Green Health! If you are having pains from old injuries, new injuries, or just a specific pain that you want taken care of, these are your people. I went in yesterday because They are currently offering a free first session, and I've been having issues in my shoulders from old injuries. Chao was my therapist and he did some range of motion tests on me, looked at my posture, and immediately knew what he had to do. But we didn't just jump into the massage. He brought up a digital version of the human body on a large tv. He went in and "took muscle off" the model to show me what muscles were causing me pain and how we were going to fix it. It was a nice change to have someone explain fully, with models, what was going on and what the initial cause of my pain was, not just "this hurts so I'll rub it". The massage itself was intense, in the best way! It was all business. At points it was uncomfortable, but as soon as those muscles relaxed, I felt 100 times better. My range of motion in my shoulders went from very little to where they should normally be in on 30 minutes. And it wasn't just a quick one day fix, today I am able to stand taller and rotate my shoulders with ease. I cannot say enough amazing things about Green Health! If you are thinking about going in, just go in. They would love to have you!
I have seen Dr, Doug for both personal work and couples therapy for several months. I have found Dr. Doug to be a very caring, flexible and knowledgeable therapist. Our family has had many experiences with different therapist's through the years. I feel like Dr. Doug has a wide range of knowledge, brings all of it to the table and uses it skillfully. Dr. Doug also was able to see us after regular hours when very few others would (my husband works out of town and is only home on the weekends). I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Doug to anyone and have already done so to many of my friends!
Jessica is an outstanding therapist, very professional, caring and easy to relate to. I highly recommend Oak Heart Counseling for anyone who is looking for support for a mental health issue.
Jenna is an excellent therapist who possesses the rare combination of genuine empathy with practical, science-based counseling. I would recommend Jenna for both individual and couples counseling as I have used her in both scenarios. I can honestly say she is one of the best, if not the best, therapists, I have ever spoken with. I highly recommend Jenna.
I met with a few different therapists before meeting with Dr. Burgo. You wont find a better psychotherapist. His rare intuitive capacity allowed him to identify all sorts of nuances about me in session that made me feel like I made sense to somebody for the first time in my life, and I began to make sense to myself. He isnt afraid of doing the heavy lifting of challenging your defenses, even if you bite and scratch in return, but hell also offer comfort and support when your world turns upside down. He *earns* his money. Seriously; dont hesitate. Im a tough customer and Dr. Burgo changed my life!
