Our 9-year-old daughter started taking piano lessons in April and we are thrilled that her love of music continues to grow under Amy's tutelage. Our daughter loves Amy, looks forward to each and every lesson, and is completely self-motivated to practice throughout the week (any parent knows that's a big deal) because Amy provides the perfect blend of knowledgeable instruction, musical enthusiasm, appropriate challenges, unbridled encouragement, and a reassuring calmness in showing her students that any struggle can be worked through together. Simply put, Amy is a wonderful teacher. We would (and do) highly recommend her to anyone in search of a music instructor!
I took piano lessons with Anne for quite a long time. Working with Anne and taking piano lessons was one of the best decisions I ever made. She always encouraged me to try my hardest and when I struggled, she always knew the right way to help me out. She knows her students' strengths and weaknesses and knows how to utilize those strengths and work on the weaknesses. Although I am not taking piano lessons anymore, if I ever wanted to start back up, I would call Anne in a heartbeat!
Ms Jensin is a great piano teacher. I was impressed. My 5 year old son attended piano lessons at her studio for about 4 months. He really loves playing piano with Ms Jensin. I really like Ms. Jensin's teaching style. She definitely knows how to encourage kids to practice piano. If we didn't have to move to Seattle, we would love to have many more lessons with Ms. Jensin. I already recommended her outstanding service to all of my friends.
Dave is my daughter's piano teacher. He is patient. He explains things. He is on time for lessons. He is willing to spend extra time to help her understand the lesson and is willing to answer questions when she has them. Thanks Dave for all you do!
He's a great instructor. He kept my son's attention. :)
I recently had the privilege of taking piano lessons from Joe Allen. I state confidently that my experience with Joe was outstanding, some of the finest lessons I have ever had. I took lessons for several years as a youngster and teenager. After a few decades on my own I now appreciate the importance of lessons at any stage of life for any reason. Joe delivers on helping you learn new techniques and improve your current skills in music. Joe's ideas and suggestions are refreshing. They hit the mark at demonstrating the manner in which you can affect the interpretation of a work and yet remain true to the composer's intended form. I strongly recommend Joe Allen to anyone who wants to study piano. It's a skill that never goes out of style. And, Joe himself is always right there with you to keep you on your pathway to the future.

I have three children who are currently receiving piano instruction from Mr. Ken Soh at his New Bright Future piano studio. During the year and a half that my children have received instruction there, they have made vast improvements in their understanding of music theory, ability to read music, rhythm, and articulation. As a former professional musician myself, I believe that Ken has developed an outstanding method of instrumental instruction that places a proper emphasis on precision and correct technique that will serve his students well as they continue to advance in their abilities.

Rather than placing a 5 year old on a bench staring at a piano book with a towering teacher, Let's Play Music is FUN! If you were to peek in on a Let's Play Music class, you would see jumping, singing, skipping, storytelling, and laughing! Music educators have long taught that the young child learns best through play, experience and discovery. As musical concepts and skills are presented in a playful, joyful setting, children absorb knowledge and ability. Children learn best by just doing. Lessons are structured with minimal talking and explaining which leaves plenty of time for playing, dancing and singing! Research has shown that the more physically involved a child is in the learning process, the more he/she will internalize the concept. Children are much more likely to enjoy the setting when there are other children around. The synergy of a Lets Play Music class naturally encourages children to participate and to excel.

However, we recognize individual circumstances warrant a different avenue of receiving instruction. Lessons are by appointment and are scheduled based on availability.Payment must be received prior to scheduling your lesson. Further, because of the variability of these classes, there are no refunds. Credit may be applied to a future non-traditional lesson only if 48 hours of notice is provided prior to the lesson. CHILDREN'S MUSIC ACADEMY Children's Music Academy (CMA) instruction is exclusive to Lincoln through Harris Academy of the Arts. CMA specializes in teaching music in a fun, positive, and lively classroom setting, where children have the freedom to love and appreciate music, while developing fundamental musical skills. Activities are fast-paced, incorporating games, songs, dances, and ensemble playing, involving a variety of musical instruments. Parents are invited to actively participate with their child through CMA. The CMA curriculum was first developed in Southern California in 1974, carefully written and updated to develop lifelong musical appreciation and aptitude. Our courses cover all the beginning levels of musicianship and are age-appropriate, sequential and cumulative. Research has revealed that children are most receptive to musical training between ages three and six. Beginning a child's musical experience and education during these ages provides a strong foundation for continued music development. CMA is a 50-minute class offered to children ages four to seven who are placed in one of two courses, Junior (four and five years) and Intermediate (six and seven years). Students new to CMA may select from new class options, whereas returning CMA students who are continuing their curriculum for a second term may enroll in a continued class matching their skill level. Materials for CMA help to enhance the learning experience. The materials fee applied to the course includes a book bag, notebook, pencil pouch, and magnetic note speller, along with piano books, colored pencils, flash cards, handouts, stickers and rewards. Basic skills taught through CMA: Composition; Ear Training; Ensemble Playing; Harmony; Note Reading; Recorder; Rhythm; Singing; Various Instruments.
For music, I have done music my whole life, and I am currently going to Wayne State College for Music Education K-12 with a field endorsement, which simply means I will be able to teach anything related music. I can do vocal or instrumental. For the swimming lessons, I have swam competitively since I was five, and have been a coach, and I am still a lifeguard.
I have a doctorate in music theory and composition from Florida State University. I spent the last three years teaching music theory, composition and ear training. I also am a pianist who has worked as a church musician for over 11 years. I am currently playing horn in the Big Bend Community Orchestra as well. Horn and piano are my primary two instruments.

I am a professional "entertainer" who is classically trained and experienced in all genres of music (except hip hop). I can boom chuck with the best of them and then play a Mozart Sonata- having respect for both. I teach technique in everything because that's what gives you wings to fly in any style. I am spontaneous in using metaphor and everyday life examples and apply them to your learning. It's fun.
I teach guitar, bass, singing, songwriting and real-world theory in the most precise way to what you or someone you know wants to learn, while giving the student a taste of all other styles. I've had 100% success rate of satisfied students. Teaching is never what I wanted to do, but a new way of teaching occurred to me from real-world experience that made me rewrite how it's done. Music can be the most fun but yet deeply personal thing to express what's most important in life, and anyone who wants to can be great at it. Let's get started if your serious!
I am EXTREMELY flexible and will orient my lesson plan around my student's wants as well as making sure they learn the necessary components to play the instrument. Fun is a huge part of my lesson plan and I am just as fun as I am a good teacher! Just give me a shot and you will see.
