Gladys officiated our wedding with 6 days notice and it was everything we needed it to be! Gladys was more than excited to meet with us beforehand in our limited time to get to know us a bit before the wedding and learn about our relationship. When it came to the day of the wedding, Gladys was professional, warm, and made everyone feel welcome. We loved having a ceremony conducted in both Spanish and English, Gladys did a great job making both parts of the family feel included in the small beautiful ceremony we had. Our wedding was special, unique , beautiful and intimate. It could not have been all that it was without Glayds officiating.
We loved working with the Boston Event Divas team!! Our wedding had a lot of moving parts and 2 locations for the ceremony and reception. Thank goodness we had the girls to make sure everything ran smoothly. If you are planning a wedding yourself I highly recommend hiring a planner to make sure none of the details are missed. Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.
Jen was an integral part to our surprise backyard wedding! Planning everything by ourselves in two months didn't leave much time for us to think about the ceremony or vows, but Jen was so prepared and was able to take our edits the day before the ceremony. She even helped create my beautiful bouquet!! She was absolutely wonderful and I'm so glad she was a part of our special day. Thank you Jen!

Alice- Planned our wedding in the summer of 2014. Alice is very detail oriented-she makes sure that every part of the wedding is taken care of- from the general outlook of the wedding to the littlest details. She has a background in accounting so she is able to help with budgeting. We were able to save over $20,000 in venue costs and food because of her extensive research. Her flexibility came in very handy- she was able to work with our work schedules.
Valerie and Veronica are not only amazing party planners but they both work extremely hard and are dedicated to making your event one to remember. They are on top of everything, extremely detail oriented, quick responding, genuine, and want to satisfy your visions times TEN! We had our baby shower on February 4, 2017 and it was honestly AMAZING!!! When we walked into the venue we were blown away with the creativity and effort put into the props, center pieces, back drops, lighting, everything was PERFECT! Our guests walked in and asked if our baby shower was a wedding LOL. This shows how extremely detailed and beautiful our set up was. We were beyond happy with the turn out! Everything was gorgeous from the decorations to the sweets and the entire set up! It was the baby shower that we always dreamed of and will remember forever. These ladies made it happen, I truly recommended her for anyone who wants to have that perfect event they always dreamed of. They are one of a kind and you WILL NOT be disappointed! Beth is an amazingly talented wedding planner and a true professional. We hired her as our day-of coordinator for a very much DIY wedding. We were in touch constantly during the weeks leading up to the wedding. She was always so responsive and on top of things - including creating a very detailed timeline and staying in touch with our many vendors. The day was just flawless, thanks to Beth. Kelly did the day of coordination for my wedding, and all the pre-work to prepare for the day. She helped find additional staff, suggest vendors, and essentially anything I asked of her. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into making a wedding, Kelly was right there with me along the way. As somebody who has orchestrated many events, she gave thoughtful suggestions to ensure my event was planned perfectly. She went over my plan and wishes in great detail to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything. The day of she was a wedding saver. I got everything I planned executed as requested and the event ran without any issues (at least none I was award of), Kelly did that great of a job. I spent my wedding day dancing, enjoying the wedding I dreamed of, and visiting my family and friends, while Kelly worked extremely hard to ensure everything went as planned. She did an outstanding job and my wedding day was beyond my expectations. My fiancee and I had one simple request to keep our wedding planning and wedding day stress free. Amanda has more than exceeded our expectations. She saved us a lot of money, providing props, design recommendations, averted so many foreseeable crises months before the wedding started. She was flexible with my family's needs, and collaborated with my in-laws in wedding preparations. She ended every call with "Let me know if you can think of anything else you need..." She missed our rehearsal dinner after our rather awful florist messed up our flowers last minute. To whom this may concern, I recently had the pleasure of having the assistance of "Julia's Having A Party" plan a special event for an member of my family. As we all know there are many different parts that come along with planning an event. "Julia's Having A party" made every aspect of planning simple and very easy. The staff was wonderfully accommodating, the recommendations of decorations could not have been more appropriate. Apart from that, The food was delicious. We had a variety of choices to pick from. All of which had the presentation of a fine dining Resturant. Lastly, As this event was in my home, I was skeptical of the idea of a "party planner" but pleasantly surprised. I got to spend time enjoying my guest worry free. Over all "Julia's Having A party" created not just a wonderful evening but a memorable experience.

Meghan was absolutely fantastic and went beyond my expectations. As a busy professional traveling most weeks, I did not have the time to organize my sisters bridal shower, and pull it off in the way I wanted. Meghan listened to my ideas and created an outline of what was needed. She also provide options for us to create things on our own which saved some money. I think the expectation is normally that planners will do what they can to make the most $$, but she was certainly sensitive to the budget and did an incredible job. I will absolutely be using Meghan for future events. She made it so easy!
