Having met Dr. Anna is one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I had been in therapy for over a decade with various counselors, but now I know the difference between a therapist and a Therapist. She is warm, compassionate and creative, no two sessions are the same, and she seems to have an incredible repertoire of techniques at her disposal. She is always goal-oriented, makes sure that results are really happening, and always explains everything so clearly as you have never heard and never understood before. She has the greatest sense of humor, her academic knowledge is amazing, and her fine-tuned sensitivity boarders on the mystical. Yet she is always funny, down to earth, and real. I've never laughed so much in therapy sessions before! :-) I am so grateful, ... because I am finally discovering what "free" and "happy" really mean!

I am in a supervision group with Brent at a postgraduate program in gestalt psychotherapy and have had the opportunity to view his work with his clients. I have been extremely impressed with Brent's sensitivity to his clients. Brent is focused and attuned to his clients' needs and paces his work with them accordingly. I believe Brent is dedicated to his work as a therapist and eager to continue to learn and enhance his skills. He has many qualities that I believe are important to being a good therapist.

I've been struggling with anxiety and anger issues since teenage years, and have tried therapy in the past but never stuck with it because I always found myself getting impatient with the therapists or the process. However, Dr Eskalyo slowly but efficiently helps me realize the benefits of psychotherapy, by digging deeper into my subconscious mind. She never makes me feel judged, or pressured. Scheduling is flexible, which works with my crazy work schedule. She's also very cooperative and patient with paperworks for my insurance. I highly recommend Dr Eskalyo, especially for those who are skeptical but would like to try therapy.

I met with Jonathan to discuss my ongoing anxiety and depression. Jonathan gave me the strategies and tools I needed to help me cope with these issues in my life. In addition to being very professional, Jonathan was warm, kind and comforting when discussing areas of my life that we're giving me troubles. I would highly recommend Jonathan!

I have been seeing Stefan for 3 years now, and I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made. He assuages any fears that one might have with going to therapy, or from what they might fear from traditional therapy. When I first came, I was an unhappy person, not liking myself very much and projecting that feeling to everyone around me. I blamed everyone else for my problems, while thinking I truly had a handle on things...as things around me were just getting worse. Learning to not only unconditionally love others, but to unconditionally love myself has made me a better father, a better friend, better in business, and an all around better person. I completely recommend seeing him to anyone who wants to learn how to love themselves more.

I help people make sense of the tough spots in their lives. Whether it's a relationship gone sour, a job that's not fulfilling, or a life transition that's throwing you off your rhythm. I specialize in working with expectant and new parents and fathers, twenty- and thirty-somethings, and people needing anger management. I am an author of “Becoming a Dad: The First Three Years,” which has sold more than 30,000 copies, and is part of the Great Expectations Series from Sterling Publishing. I welcome your inquiry and look forward to seeing if I can help you.

    About

I provide psychotherapy services in both individual and group sessions. I do evaluation and treatment. I specialize in emotional, trauma-related, and alcohol/substance dependency comorbidites.

    About

Most therapists in New York provide therapy from a humanistic or psychodynamic background. While this is fine for people who do not have an acute problem, it is less useful for people who are suffering from a disabling level of anxiety. My work addresses the loss of function head on. Most people can be helped with less than six months of treatment. I often need to accompany clients on therapeutic 'missions' like going into the subway or an elevator for the first time in thirty years or crossing a busy street. I enjoy working in the real world. I am also willing to provide service in your home or office, though I must charge for travel and insist on a suitable environment for work.
