Jeff has been an extremely helpful teacher and has taught me so much. I've learned theory, blues guitar techniques and some of my favorite metal songs. I can't wait to continue with him and progress.

Trying to learn the guitar at 40 has been a challenge, but a fun and rewarding one thanks to Rico. Rico is a patient teacher and possesses a wealth of knowledge about how to actually play the guitar. Rico’s lessons combine both guitar theory with practical instruction on technique. If you’re looking for a stress-free, yet productive learning experience with the guitar, I highly recommend Rico as in instructor.   K. Thomas, Chicago, IL

If you're looking for a knowledgeable and amazing music teacher look no further you found him! Our entire family has taken guitar and piano lessons from him. Two of my children have special needs and it's amazing what they've learned from him. He's extremely patient and everyone enjoys the music selections that he tailors to personal preferences. He's very professional. It's a joy to take from Patrick.

My experience with Kristie is from taking private guitar lessons with Tommy Regits and Over the Mountain Music Studio. In the beginning, years ago, Krisite was the friendly face behind the scenes, always there with a welcoming smile and a keen attention to detail. Krisite was very efficient in scheduling and adjusting schedules to meet my changing needs. Back then Kristie was developing her studio, and learning to use all of the latest technology to enhance anyone's musical experience. As for Tommy Regits, and Over the Mountain Music Studio, well the experience will ROCK you and change the way you interact with music. Whether a complete beginner, young or old, or an accomplished musician, Tommy adjusts his style to meet the needs of his students. My son is an accomplished musician and also spent some time with Tommy, developing a deeper understanding of how music structure works at a level beyond music theory. Tommy and Kristie really care about their students, and help each one get the most out of their time together. They take the time to prepare for each lesson and are fully engaged without distraction for the entire lesson. Always a cheerful attitude. Kristie and Tommy can do everything to help you get to the level of performance you desire...well except for doing your practice...Ha! Anyway, young or old, beginner or professional, they can help you go above and beyond your own expectations. And check around, they are the best deal in town. My money is valuable to me and I spend it wisely, so here's some wisdom, give the Desert Dawn Studio and Kristie, or Over the Mountain Music Studio and Tommy an opportunity to enhance your experience, and write your own review! And tell your friends (but only after you get the good time slot...)! Music is a wonderful gift and all it takes is some practice, and with the proper instruction your time will be well spent. Lastly there is a lot of stuff on the internet but none of that even remotely compares to having someone understand and care about you creating your own reality with music. Once you have the music no one can ever take it away from you. If you are choosing to invest in yourself, make a small deposit with them, your investment will grow fast.

Vince is a great teacher and a producer. I have been working with him since May and I feel I have got a tremendous improvement in songwriting, and using software such as Sibelius and Pro tools. He is very knowledgeable in every aspect of music; music theory, pro tools, guitar techniques. If you are looking a music teacher to guide you through your dream, he is definitely the one to look for!

Amazing teacher!!! I started guitar lessons with Mike about 2 years ago. I was a beginner (as in I had never played before) and he got me playing immediately and has helped me grow as a musician immensely. He has a wonderful rapport with people and is very patient and understanding. He is incredibly talented and can easily help any level of player improve. I highly recommend Mike Binder!

Wow!!! First of all, this guy is a truly gifted guitarist. Just watching can make you a better guitarist. More than that, he has a way and a manor about him that makes it easy and comfortable to learn guitar. He had me not only playing the music I like but more, he has helped me understand the basic foundation that connects all music and all songs. Keep up the good work and ROCK ON!!!

Jeremy played classical guitar at my wedding a few years ago. My wife and I selected him as the only musical accompaniment after hearing rave reviews about his prior gigs. In addition to his incredible talent, Jeremy treated the job with the utmost professionalism. He arrived the night before the wedding in order to participate in the wedding rehearsal. He also arrived early on the day of the wedding so that he and the vocalist could run through the songs together one final time. I can not recommend Jeremy's guitar accompaniment highly enough. If Johann Sebastian Bach had played guitar, his parents would have named him Jeremy Harting.

I didn't know what to expect when I started taking lessons at first with Tony. I've taken lessons before and never really got into playing, or practicing. I hated the same weird songs that I used to have to play. Tony has such an amazing approach to guitar teaching. He showed me songs I liked, and would have me focus on parts here and there, and pointing out ways to improve with how I hold my hands, fingerpicking, pulls and slides, etc. I couldn't thank him enough. My playing continues to progress. It doesn't come easy for sure, but Tony hasn't given up on me either!

My children have been taking piano and guitar lessons from Robert for two and a half years now. We could not be more pleased with the results! Robert is an immensely talented musician and teacher, and he makes learning enjoyable (plus my kids think he's cool). Each of my children has a specialty instrument, but Robert encourages them to learn on other instruments as well, and allows them to explore a variety of musical styles. He tailors the lessons to the musical interests of my children (my son prefers rock and my daughter likes pop and classical), which increases their desire to practice and play. They have grown so much in their abilities and appreciation for music since they started lessons here. I highly recommend Robert and GP Lessons!

I have known him for a couple of months now and I must say that Michan is great. One of the primary reasons I keep going back is because he's very outgoing and fun to work with. Most importantly he has been very patient with me and willing to work with pretty much anything I throw at him. He is truly passionate about his career and a few lessons with him will really help you realize some of your untapped potential. Each and every time I go to him I am left with a good, lasting impression and a unique set of goals. So if you're looking for some guitar lessons, look no further! Michan is the best and he will help get you closer to where you want to be. This is coming from someone who knew almost nothing about playing a guitar until about five months ago. I went to a couple of people before Michan but no one helped me "take off" like he did. I'm happy with my progress and I look forward to my future lessons.

Bob Driscoll has been teaching guitar to my son weekly for about 5 years. He is a wonderful instructor because he has passion for what he does and loves teaching. He teaches adults as well, but he is very good with children. He just connects with people of all ages. He cares about his students; in fact, he feels like a member of the family. In all the time that my son has been taking lessons, he hasn't complained about having to have a lesson. He enjoys Bob's method of instructor because Bob tailors his teaching to his students' abilities and needs. They have fun while learning, which means my son is still studying guitar at age 17 and enjoying it (having quit other extra-curricular activities after a year or so). My son is actually very good and played at his cousin's wedding. Bob is responsible, punctual and always helpful and enthusiastic. I couldn't be happier with his service over the years.

    About

I teach practical application of music theory, bass guitar, double bass and bowing. I fast track you into reading charts and notation and how to paraphrase "on the spot" charts. In other words, how to become a pro quickly.

    About

My name is Tony, and I am a classically trained musician who wants to help you step up your music game! It's easy to say that music is my life, and I also love to share the experience of music to people of all ages, including small children and adults. I teach a very wide variety of genres. For musicians that like rock, I can teach alternative, punk, pop punk, Christian, emo, folk, progressive, and especially math rock and post-rock. For the metal heads, I can instruct you in genres like djent, doom/death/black/thrash metal, progressive metal, screamo, ska-core, neo-classical, nu metal, math core, and pretty much any other metal sub-genre. For anyone else thinking about beginner guitar lessons or is a first-timer to guitar, I instruct all of my entry-level students in classical finger-style guitar. I believe this method is crucial to becoming a well-rounded player in any style of music. It is intense at first, but if you want to be a great guitarist, you can count on me to show you the way! The technique that develops in your playing as you focus on classical music is something that other music teachers without proper classical training aren't delivering when instructing their students. It is so important, simply because of the overall superiority that classical technique has when applied to any and all genres. In other words, it is the perfect way to practice and learn. My own projects stem from jazz fusion to progressive metal, to even folk/rap, so as far as I'm concerned, I pretty much do everything music-wise including performance, competition, education (theory), writing, recording, and touring. If you are interested in contacting me about lessons or even just to jam sometime, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you for your consideration!
