Jeff is a great teacher. If he sees that you need work on something he helps you and he gives great advice. He makes learning guitar fun and easy! Definitely would recommend him to anybody who wants to learn guitar.
Rico is an excellent instructor who can tailor his lessons for any level guitar player. I have years of guitar experience and Rico is helping me with technique, scales, and theory.
Elaine is so personable. I connected with her instantly. I like her teaching style and would recommend her to anyone interested in taking piano and/or guitar lessons.
Vince has been an awesome bass teacher and customized my lessons as I progress - always look forward to my lessons and am challenged to learn in a way that keeps me engaged and excited
Personal review of Patrick Worley After I retired I decided to play my four string banjo again which I hadn’t played for over 30 years. I decided to do this since my wife plays the harp and this would be a good way to help us do something new together. I went online and did a search for a 4 string banjo instructor and Patrick’s name appeared. I sent an e-mail to Patrick which he responded to quickly and we setup a date to start lessons. One of the first things I noticed about Patrick was his flexibility in being able to come to my home instead of me going to his studio. I requested this since my wife wanted to take Guitar lessons as well and coming to my home made it easier to do this. I was quite nervous since I hadn’t touched my banjo for a long time but Patrick made me feel at ease and we got started. What really amazed me was the amount of knowledge Patrick possesses. I wanted to learn music theory as well as play the banjo and every question I asked, Patrick was able to answer without hesitation. I have to admit that I am not the easiest person to pick things up but Patrick has been very patient with me and will do whatever is necessary to help me progress even if we change course a bit. A few weeks into the lessons Patrick did not have his 4 string banjo since it needed repair but instead brought his Mandolin since it had the same strings as the banjo. The mandolin in fact has two strings each of G, D, A, and E which are the same strings as the 4 string banjo so everything I learned on the banjo would apply to the mandolin as well. This is where my enthusiasm really began to peak since the mandolin sounds great with the harp. I decided to buy my own mandolin and put more emphasis on it then the banjo with the understanding that anything I learned on the mandolin will apply in most instances to the 4 string banjo. Patrick was very supportive of me in doing this. I don’t want to get to wordy here but in only a few months with the mandolin, I was able to play in front of 50 people accompanying someone else playing the guitar. I need to emphasize that I am 67 years old. I received my 4 string banjo in 1964. I never once took the banjo out of my home. With Patrick I was not only able to learn the things I needed to but gained a good deal of confidence in myself to get up in front of people which is really stepping out of my comfort zone. To summarize, I highly recommend Patrick Worley to anyone who is interested in learning how to play the Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, and any other instrument that Patrick knows how to play. Patrick can teach you how to read music, learn music theory, and play the instrument with a very good feeling of confidence.
Bass guitar lessons for the first time. Love his teaching style. He presents in a way I understand, is patient, and has a smooth flow and connection between exercises. Can't wait for my next lesson.
I had been playing guitar for 10 years, and had taken, and failed at lessons before. I finally decided to go to Robert on the advice of a friend, and within 2 lessons, my guitar playing was already significantly better! A year later, I was doing things on a guitar that I figured I would never understand! Robert is a phenomenal teacher who I would recommend to anyone looking to pick up an instrument, or to hone their craft!
Wow!!! First of all, this guy is a truly gifted guitarist. Just watching can make you a better guitarist. More than that, he has a way and a manor about him that makes it easy and comfortable to learn guitar. He had me not only playing the music I like but more, he has helped me understand the basic foundation that connects all music and all songs. Keep up the good work and ROCK ON!!!
I'm glad I have Gabriel as a teacher who is very knowledgeable and patient. He is not only a expert at guitar who can play all kinds of songs but also great at passing this skill to others. No matter what level you are at, he always have something to offer.
I have been taking guitar lessons via Skype with Tommy at Over The Mountain Music school for just about two years now and absolutely love it. I can do it from home so I don't miss time away from my kids and Tommy provides you with all the resources needed to complement the online learning. It has been a great way to take lessons and develop your guitar skills.
Learning under Jared has done wonders. He’s knowledgeable and practical, takes the time to understand where you are in your progress and fits the curriculum to move you on the right path. Two months into our lesson and i feel like I’ve improved so much not only in my play and practice, but in my composition and understanding of the very fundamentals of music and guitar.
You have to take guitar lessons from Mike! After only 8 months of studying with him, I have learned multiple genres including pop, classic rock, 90’s rock, and fingerstyle. Mike caters the lessons around your musical interests and your goals, but also teaches valuable techniques and helpful theory in ways that are easy to understand. Not only does he have incredible experience and knowledge, Mike is also patient and encouraging. I absolutely love playing guitar and getting to study with Mike is a huge part of that!
Linda is very knowledgeable and encouraging. She is very helpful with song selection and makes you feel comfortable. I would encourage anyone looking to find their singing voice or wanting to learn how to play the guitar.
Got stuck learning drums on YouTube so I called Sean and within two weeks I knew how to read music and he had me drumming beats I thought would’ve taken me years to learn and when my daughter was born we switched to guitar and kept going
Johnny Lere is one of the best guitar teacher's I have come across. His guitar education program is so much fun, he really LOVES guitar and genuinely cares about his students and their progress. He not only teaches how to play and perform but also teaches about the guitar and how to maintain and take care of them. I'm so glad I found him and I highly recommend his Guitar Education program to anyone who wants to learn how to play or improve existing skills. I promise Johnny will help you master the guitar!! Thank you Johnny for being so awesome!

I have taught music for 15 years to elementary through high-school students. I learned to play rock guitar in San Francisco in the '60s. I have played around the world in USO tours and in hotels in the US and abroad. I have vast instrument knowledge and experience. I will teach in my home on electric, acoustic and/or classical guitars. I also have theatrical production and symphony experience.
I teach the fundamentals of playing guitar (chords and scales), bass (fingering techniques and music theory) as well as singing lessons (improving range, and harmony). I am a musician with 33 years of experience, and I enjoy teaching what I have learned throughout the years.
My name is Tony, and I am a classically trained musician who wants to help you step up your music game! It's easy to say that music is my life, and I also love to share the experience of music to people of all ages, including small children and adults. I teach a very wide variety of genres. For musicians that like rock, I can teach alternative, punk, pop punk, Christian, emo, folk, progressive, and especially math rock and post-rock. For the metal heads, I can instruct you in genres like djent, doom/death/black/thrash metal, progressive metal, screamo, ska-core, neo-classical, nu metal, math core, and pretty much any other metal sub-genre. For anyone else thinking about beginner guitar lessons or is a first-timer to guitar, I instruct all of my entry-level students in classical finger-style guitar. I believe this method is crucial to becoming a well-rounded player in any style of music. It is intense at first, but if you want to be a great guitarist, you can count on me to show you the way! The technique that develops in your playing as you focus on classical music is something that other music teachers without proper classical training aren't delivering when instructing their students. It is so important, simply because of the overall superiority that classical technique has when applied to any and all genres. In other words, it is the perfect way to practice and learn. My own projects stem from jazz fusion to progressive metal, to even folk/rap, so as far as I'm concerned, I pretty much do everything music-wise including performance, competition, education (theory), writing, recording, and touring. If you are interested in contacting me about lessons or even just to jam sometime, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you for your consideration!
