I just completed my second week lesson with Gary on Monday, and let me just start off by saying how exceptional of a teacher he is! I had trouble in the past looking for a reliable teacher in this town who could not only give formal training but someone who not only had the experience but had patience in their teaching methods with beginner vocalists. Though I have experience in string instruments, I had absolute zero experience in vocals. I discovered within the first few minutes of my first lesson that vocal music is a whole different world entirely; It was one of those eye opener moments and you'll know when you have your first experience with him. Gray sings along with you as he guides you down your unique vocal training, as he doesn't teach each student the same exact way. Upon your first lesson, he can analyses your strengths, weaknesses and then goes from there, strengthening you physical core before heading into learning actual music. He told me, "Humans were the first instrument; our voices came before the violin." and stressed that everyone can learn to sing. All it takes is time, dedication and most of all 'work'! If your in doubt or can't seem to find a teacher to help build your strengths or repair your voice, Gary is the guy for you; Look no further! And best of all, he is affordable if you can't spend hundreds of dollars each week on a voice lesson! ~

She played the ceremony music at my wedding. She was amazing! So easy to talk to. Some of my family even asked me if I've known her for awhile and some guests throught she was family! She was just so friendly! Great pianist, too! She was able to learn a Guns n Roses song for us for the ceremony as well. Love, love!

Vince is a great teacher and a producer. I have been working with him since May and I feel I have got a tremendous improvement in songwriting, and using software such as Sibelius and Pro tools. He is very knowledgeable in every aspect of music; music theory, pro tools, guitar techniques. If you are looking a music teacher to guide you through your dream, he is definitely the one to look for!

Personal review of Patrick Worley After I retired I decided to play my four string banjo again which I hadn’t played for over 30 years. I decided to do this since my wife plays the harp and this would be a good way to help us do something new together. I went online and did a search for a 4 string banjo instructor and Patrick’s name appeared. I sent an e-mail to Patrick which he responded to quickly and we setup a date to start lessons. One of the first things I noticed about Patrick was his flexibility in being able to come to my home instead of me going to his studio. I requested this since my wife wanted to take Guitar lessons as well and coming to my home made it easier to do this. I was quite nervous since I hadn’t touched my banjo for a long time but Patrick made me feel at ease and we got started. What really amazed me was the amount of knowledge Patrick possesses. I wanted to learn music theory as well as play the banjo and every question I asked, Patrick was able to answer without hesitation. I have to admit that I am not the easiest person to pick things up but Patrick has been very patient with me and will do whatever is necessary to help me progress even if we change course a bit. A few weeks into the lessons Patrick did not have his 4 string banjo since it needed repair but instead brought his Mandolin since it had the same strings as the banjo. The mandolin in fact has two strings each of G, D, A, and E which are the same strings as the 4 string banjo so everything I learned on the banjo would apply to the mandolin as well. This is where my enthusiasm really began to peak since the mandolin sounds great with the harp. I decided to buy my own mandolin and put more emphasis on it then the banjo with the understanding that anything I learned on the mandolin will apply in most instances to the 4 string banjo. Patrick was very supportive of me in doing this. I don’t want to get to wordy here but in only a few months with the mandolin, I was able to play in front of 50 people accompanying someone else playing the guitar. I need to emphasize that I am 67 years old. I received my 4 string banjo in 1964. I never once took the banjo out of my home. With Patrick I was not only able to learn the things I needed to but gained a good deal of confidence in myself to get up in front of people which is really stepping out of my comfort zone. To summarize, I highly recommend Patrick Worley to anyone who is interested in learning how to play the Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, and any other instrument that Patrick knows how to play. Patrick can teach you how to read music, learn music theory, and play the instrument with a very good feeling of confidence.

Stop looking.....Nick is "the" guitar guy!! I would highly, highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn guitar. My son is new to guitar and Nick has been amazing. He is so patient, speaks to his level and really tries to help him understand the basic fundamentals of guitar and reading music. My son really enjoys his lessons and has learned a tremendous amount from Nick. He looks forward to his lessons and has someone he can look up to. Nick is a GREAT guitar teacher!! He also teaches a friend's son and they feel the same. So glad we found him on Thumbtack.

My experience with Kristie is from taking private guitar lessons with Tommy Regits and Over the Mountain Music Studio. In the beginning, years ago, Krisite was the friendly face behind the scenes, always there with a welcoming smile and a keen attention to detail. Krisite was very efficient in scheduling and adjusting schedules to meet my changing needs. Back then Kristie was developing her studio, and learning to use all of the latest technology to enhance anyone's musical experience. As for Tommy Regits, and Over the Mountain Music Studio, well the experience will ROCK you and change the way you interact with music. Whether a complete beginner, young or old, or an accomplished musician, Tommy adjusts his style to meet the needs of his students. My son is an accomplished musician and also spent some time with Tommy, developing a deeper understanding of how music structure works at a level beyond music theory. Tommy and Kristie really care about their students, and help each one get the most out of their time together. They take the time to prepare for each lesson and are fully engaged without distraction for the entire lesson. Always a cheerful attitude. Kristie and Tommy can do everything to help you get to the level of performance you desire...well except for doing your practice...Ha! Anyway, young or old, beginner or professional, they can help you go above and beyond your own expectations. And check around, they are the best deal in town. My money is valuable to me and I spend it wisely, so here's some wisdom, give the Desert Dawn Studio and Kristie, or Over the Mountain Music Studio and Tommy an opportunity to enhance your experience, and write your own review! And tell your friends (but only after you get the good time slot...)! Music is a wonderful gift and all it takes is some practice, and with the proper instruction your time will be well spent. Lastly there is a lot of stuff on the internet but none of that even remotely compares to having someone understand and care about you creating your own reality with music. Once you have the music no one can ever take it away from you. If you are choosing to invest in yourself, make a small deposit with them, your investment will grow fast.

Mike will teach you how to play guitar using songs you like. Instead of starting off with sheet music, he'll teach you a song that you picked, explain how the song works musically, and then how to apply the techniques in your own playing. After fumbling around a fretboard for a couple years, Mike has pulled back the curtain and allowed me to take my playing to the next level. Thanks, Mike!

Marika's selection of classical and sacred music was a beautiful prelude to my husband's final services. She also played several pieces that were unique to our faith which gave my daughter and I much comfort at a difficult time. She was professional and respectful, knowing her music was to provide a feeling of peace and healing to those attending. Marika's talent would be a wonderful addition to any of life's events or public gatherings.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with these two! This was a fairy large corporate event (300+) and everyone was raving about their performance. We had them play during cocktail hour and dinner. The volume was perfect, the music selection received a lot of praise, and the quality of their talent was outstanding.
