Finding a personal trainer is quite a challenge but the first time I attended Gev's Mehrabyan's Yoga Pilates class at The Z Spot, I knew it was right for me. I was very comfortable to expose my biggest flaws in my journey to being fit. There are many qualities to look for in a trainer. Among those are Communication, Professionalism, and Personality. If your trainer doesn't possess any of those qualities you will not achieve any of your fitness goals. I can say with conviction that Gev's technique in teaching, and knowledge in exercise training, is based on the functional anatomy of your body, and this includes nutrition and lifestyle habits. I was 189 pounds at the time I started with Gev. But being a broadcast journalist, that's 10 more pounds of added weight on TV. After 6 months of hard work and dedication, Voila! Down to 137 pounds and feeling fabulous!!! Commitment and hard work will only pay off if you are dedicated... this is Gev's reminder to all of his students..
My wife and I started private sessions with Kristin 6 weeks ago. We've had an amazing experience and will continue to do weekly sessions. We are beginners at yoga but Kristin has made us feel comfortable throughout. Highly recommend. Also she is amazing with pets who like to join in with the Yoga 😀
I attended Nav's Gentle Yoga classes at Whitney Ranch Rec Center a year ago. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. I would recommend her classes.
Mitch is an excellent Tai Chi Ki Gong, Yoga & Meditation instructor, always studying so he can bring more to his classes. Through Mitch's classes I learned how to deep breath properly & by doing so have brought down my blood pressure. Over all you learn to focus in the development of the body's core strength as the basis of physical,mental & spiritual health. I also love the energy we have in Mitch's classes, once you go you can't wait until the next class. We as members actually feel like we're one big happy family. :)
Victoria is amazing. She took the time to do an in depth consultation, so she really understood what I needed help with. On my second visit, we went through the sleep hypnosis. The process was very relaxing, and Victoria was reassuring and professional the entire time. She send me home and emailed me a tailor made sleep meditation to listen to before bed each night. It works like a charm, knocks me right out! I can now sleep medication free. I plan on returning to address anxiety.
Going to Nina's yoga classes are the highlight of my week. They are peaceful. I've been to very in your face teachers in the past. I didn't stick with them. I do stick with Nina, minus the toddler sickness going on currently.
I highly recommend Dylan. We had a great private yoga class. He was very patient and helped and explained as needed throughout the session.
Jessica is such a wonderful teacher! I am a beginner in yoga and she has shown me nothing but patience and guidance. She breaks down movements and poses perfectly. She is always so great about providing corrections to your pose in order to help you grow and continue on in your practice. Jessica is full of encouragement. In class, she is always trying new poses and movements with her students and she is always available for questions. I have and will continue to recommend Jessica as a yoga teacher!
Eugenia is very knowledgable and talented when it comes to the arts of dance and yoga. She was patient with my slow learning curve and is fun to work with. When I couldn't get the dance steps right, she offered additional help and used positive reinforcement to help me get over my fears and push me to that next level.
Carlie is a great yoga teacher because she is the perfect balance of knowledge and care. Her classes are nurturing, relaxing, and rejuvenating. I have taken hatha, vinyasa, guided yoga indra, and even private lessons from Carlie. I would recommend anyone at any level to take instruction from her!
I have been taking yoga at the studio for over a month now, and the instructors are amazing, and very patient with me. I really enjoy coming down here because the atmosphere at the studio is warm, inviting, and relaxing. The owner is very passionate about health, wellness, and has kept me motivated and inspired on my journey to learn yoga. I recommend Pilates + Yoga to anyone who’s looking for a yoga studio to call home.
Simply the best Yoga & Pilates teacher I've ever had. I was able to plank for 4-5 minutes. Since she moved I'm back to only planking for 1 minute tops! I miss her class!
I have been to a number of her classes. I was new to yoga and was initially nervous about fitting into a class with seasoned yoga people. Ashleigh was and is very helpful, and accommodates me for different poses in suggesting alternative poses and providing me with pillows for propping if she sees a need or struggle. Her classes are so relaxing and she also has a soothing soft voice. I felt more limber after only attending one class and thus was motivated to continue and go back for more. Also, if you attend a class where she massages you at the end during your last pose with a neck/ shoulder oil massage, it is out of this world. Highly recommend.
Kristena's teaching style is amazing. She has a love and a passion for teaching and for life which comes through loud and clear in each and every class. Her knowledge is vast and she guides her students on every level of being-mind, body, and heart! I always feel uplifted in her presence!!! Thank you, Kristena!
The best yoga class I have ever attended. Erin brings a positive spirit to yoga that helps my mind and body relax. She guides me through poses that are tailored specifically for my body, but she does it in a manner that encourages and makes me want to challenge myself. I would highly recommend her to anyone especially for those who have felt intimidated by Yoga. She makes me excited for the next lesson, its becoming my new addiction.
Dani is a awesome life coach and yoga teacher. She has introduced me to a whole new line of thought about food, exercise,yoga, meditation and general well being. I'm dealing with a long list of health issues and they all have gotten better from just eating a healthy diet, juicing and doing yoga everyday, meditating and positive though. I have found anandagiri to be a most warm and intimate atmosphere to commune in. The medition techniques have been specific and have helped to deepen my practice. I have gained much practical insight into flowing with life through the Sunday services, books and the availability of ongoing discussions. There is much Joy to be held here!!!
Scott was a easy guy to talk too. He was very calm,peaceful for sure! He was very understanding about my anxiety issues.He really helped me! It helps when you know where someone got trained I checked davidji.com and there Scott was! I learned a lot about meditation. I hate taking drugs for my anxiety and I have been using Scott's techniques and they really help! I tried yoga but hate groups. I tried YouTube, Gaia, Udemy but I didn't really connect with them and got bored really quick! I don't want to have to use beads to calm down or sit a certain way! He's the real thing and I recommend him to anyone who wants a down to earth professional .It was a plus that he came to my office! Thanks Scott
