FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is getting to know the student. When I was teaching at NYU, I would often take the first lesson of the semester to get to know the student- i.e discuss what kinds of music interest them the most, and help them to set some goals to achieve by the end of the semester. Once that has been done, it is important to hear the student play/ play with the student to get an understanding of their experience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Bachelors of Music from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB, and my Masters of Music from New York University Steinhardt. While I was attending NYU, I was given the position of Adjunct Instructor, and enjoyed teaching private lessons to undergraduate students during my four semesters there.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started teaching through a studio in California back in 2014 while I was attending the Bob Cole Conservatory. I found it very enjoyable to engage with students of all ages and skill levels, and to see them progress and accomplish their goals.
