I'm a complete beginner, but he's been super easy to learn from and always takes the time to explain things thoroughly and in different ways so you could find what works best for you. He does a great job balancing teaching the basics and techniques while also making time to work on what you want to learn and play. I've improved a lot with his lessons, way more than I would have on my own. I would recommend him if you are looking to learn or improve your skills, especially if you are a beginner, because he can guide you and correct your technique so you don't form bad habits early on. He's super supportive and encourages you to push yourself. At my first lesson I didn't have picks yet so he gave me two to keep which was really kind. Throughout my life I have had 3 guitar teachers before him, for as long as a year, and have never been better than I am right now (this is also in half the session time as previous teachers had me start with 1hr sessions). For the first time in my life I am confident to say "I play guitar," despite having started lessons when I was still in elementary school! His knowledge of the guitar, calm demeanour and method of teaching have me more comfortable than ever with a guitar in my hands. I'm confident transitioning between chords, as well as barre chords for the first time in my life! Oh, and now I can read music! Within the first month I was already able to start picking up and learning a few songs and now I can play most songs that I try to learn, picking up the chord progressions rather simply for most songs I attempt. Right now we are still progressing to get better each week, learning cool finger techniques and scales! After just a small time with Anthony I've developed a love and passion for playing the guitar, which has turned into an almost therapeutic experience right in the palm of my hands!
