We have had a backed-up bathroom sink three times in the last few months. The first two were 'fixed' but the back ups returned soon after. We went to Thumbtack and found Nationwide Plumbers. The experience from booking (Debbie and Crystal) to pipes was superb. Telephone contact for booking and tweaking and confirming, etc. was very personable and professional. Our plumber and his assistant arrived on time, assessed the situation quickly, and were very helpful with information about what may have happened and what possibilities to expect in the future - and the pricing was very fair. Mr. Halberstam promptly responded to a call for, what we thought, was a leaking pipe behind a wall in our bathroom. Mr. Halberstam thoroughly examined the area, dealing with two apartments to locate the problem. He explained where he thought the problem was and why. Turned out he was right. He wasted no time getting on it. He worked quickly, neatly, and, considering the heat we have been experiencing, he maintained his cool and resolved our problem in a very timely manner. For Me they replaced a broken kitchen faucet, identified a leak that I wasn't aware of...fixed it...(put the kitchen cabinet doors back on better than before!), changed the bathroom faucet, shower head and handle, as well as removed an old Dishwasher and installed a newer one! Our drain pipes in our bathroom sink had corroded and basically fallen apart. Since this was a semi-emergency situation, we needed a plumber who could come within a day or two. Eddie was able to make time for us and came right on time. I had sent him a photo of the situation and he came fully prepared with all the right parts. After the job was completed, he noticed that the sink was totally clogged, a new problem. He literally stayed another two hours (!) trying to trouble shoot, since the clog had nothing to with his work or the initial problem. He did not ask for extra payment and explained that he just wanted to make sure all was good and we were satisfied. At the end of the day, all was good, and we will definitely call on him again for our next plumbing job.

Fact: I live in a co-op apartment. Fact: the building is poorly managed and the company responsible for hiring management turns a blind eye to the laziness, low skills, and lack of interest inherent in the super and building manager. Fact: corners were cut and little was done to make a high quality residence when the building was constructed ~62 years ago. I share these details to underscore how exceptional Bobby Diaz and his plumbing work are. I knew that my bathroom sink (unchanged by me since moving in, September 2000) needed work. I did not know how many components needed to be replaced and had atrophied to a point of uselessness. Turns out the building's pipes and their age and poor care had more to do with this than product age and usage. To say that Bobby went above and beyond is an understatement. He left no detail, no functionality, no effort untouched. Bobby went to multiple local hardware stores to find the necessary replacement part because precision, quality, and price mattered. I've decided to hire Bobby to replace the faucet, and I will talk with him about the complete renovation of the bathroom before I sell the unit. I've lived in New York City for nearly 25 years. I was born here and I went to college here. Without pause or resistance, I recommend and endorse Bobby Diaz and JET Building Solutions. Fact.
