My husband and I used RJC Studios for our wedding DJ/MC, lighting, and photobooth. During the planning process, Robert was both extremely professional but also fun and easy to talk to. He had lots of print-outs with general wedding planning advice which really shows that he cares about his clients and he got really excited about my lighting ideas which made ME really excited! Everything was flawless on my wedding day (10/22/2016). We had to do the ceremony inside due to rain, but the mic was perfect and there was no audio feedback or problems. The cocktail hour music played exactly as I wanted it to and at a perfect volume. The main banquet room looked GORGEOUS and I am forever grateful for Robert for creating the starry night/galaxy ceiling that I had wanted so badly. It was SO cool, everyone loved it, and I can't wait to see the photos! The actual DJ/MC portion went perfectly as well, the music was always on-point and exactly what we wanted. For our first dance, we wanted one or two lines from the song "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters to be ... magically "erased". I don't know what to call it, but he knew exactly what I meant and just magically took it out. It made the song even more beautiful and I really appreciated how willing he was to do anything we needed. Craig the MC was incredibly friendly, helpful, and funny. I thought I would have to coordinate things like the order of people for reception introductions, but he came out and did it for me. Really nice having him there and his MC'ing was great, he even made some small announcements when asked to alert people to some of the extra little activities we had. The photobooth was also the highest quality one I've ever been in. The lighting was very flattering (trust me, very important) and they could print several strips so everyone was sure to get one. Robert showed me how we could use a green-screen and give our guests two options-- one with a galaxy background for normal people and one with Star Wars backgrounds for the nerds in our lives (our theme was space/galaxy so we wanted to have some nerdy elements in the details). Let me tell you, I am so thankful he gave me that choice because people had a total blast with it!! The staff gave us the photobooth-guestbook the night-of, a black high-quality album that we got to look at the next morning over coffee. Absolutely money well-spent. The photobooth operator ladies were also super polite and fun and were very tolerant of our crazy loud and drunk guests. I appreciate that. :) Overall, I have 0 negative things to say about RJC Studios. The price was right within our budget and they deserve much more. I am so grateful that Robert came to me through thumbtack because he helped make the best night of my life beautiful and fun and made the process stress-free. Thank you for everything, Robert!
We worked with Katherine Fonsella from DeCicco events and cuisine and she was WONDERFUL. We were planning a pre-wedding dinner for about 100 people in the Tarrytown area, but we live in Northern California. We did not know any venues or caterers or suppliers. Katherine helped us find a great, unusual loft venue, arranged all the decor, tables, lighting, and set up the catering from DeCiccos. The staff were excellent, the food was very good, everything went off perfectly. We are so appreciative of all that Katherine did to make our event wonderful!
Rica is definitely a professional. I had my hair and makeup trial with her last week and I am confident I am in good hands for my wedding (which is next week!!). Before the trial, I sent her pics and videos of what I was looking for so she was prepared. At the trial, she gave me her expert opinion on what would/would not work and then worked her magic. I'm always a bit weary about having a professional do my makeup because I'm of Asian descent and most non-Asian MUAs don't know how to work with Asian features. I have to say... Rica impressed me! She did some research before the trial and then we worked with each other to get the ideal look for me for the wedding. Rica is also such an honest, trustworthy person. I could tell from reading her reviews and speaking to her via email and on the phone even before we met that she takes pride in what she does and she has experience too. Can't wait to see the final hair and makeup result on my wedding day!! I will post another review after the wedding!
Llise and Zo worked with me to organize my daughters 1st birthday party and had wonderful experience overall. Llise was so helpful from the first email to the last. She emailed me with all little details to confirm everything. She answered every single question I had with patience. Llise gave me great discounts and amazing surprise video montage after party plus wonderful tips on party planning to save bucks so I can stay on my budget. My party was hit among my family and friends. Decor, all arrangement was beyond my expectation. All in all good experience and great people to work with. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
Words can't express our gratitude for Stephanie and her entire staff. Without Stephanie there would have been no wedding (lol) or at least it felt that way. The entire planning process from beginning to end was so smooth. Stephanie is EXTREMELY ORGANIZED and had every little detail covered. She was very professional and easily accommodated all of our special request. Her attention to detail is impeccable and took great concern with following through each one. She listened to us and made our vision come to life. Stephanie was patient and accommodating through all the hiccups along the way and we are eternally grateful to her. The night before the wedding July 2, 2016 one of our vendors unfortunately did not come through as expected but Stephanie and her team were able to still pull it through. That night Around 11:30 pm I realized that I had forgotten to give Stephanie some items for our early wedding that following morning. She was already on her way to venue sorting out the details and resolving the mishap of our vendors but yet she turned around ,came to my house and picked the items up from me. I was already impressed by Stephanie thus far but when she did that it solidified that we picked the right wedding planner. She is thoughtful of her clients and she went the extra mile to check up on us not because we hired her but it was her genuine acts of kindness and thoughtfulness. We felt so confident we made the right choice of picking Mariage Blanc to partake in our wedding festivities. Stephanie in the process of helping us plan our wedding became more like family to us. For example after our meeting was clearly done she would stay late into the night helping us sort out details going over issues and call almost everyday to find out how we were personally doing and how we were preparing for the big day. She would offer words of comfort to both Sam and I but in particular to me as the nervous bride. Her hard work ethnic is one that surpasses what we and our family have seen. If we could get married all over again without a doubt we would share that day again and the wedding prep process with the entire Mariage Blanc Designs.Thank you and may God continue to bless you all. Amy was the best decision we made during wedding planning. I was on the fence with a coordinator since my venue provides one as well, but there was such a difference in the level of quality Amy brought vs. who we had with our venue. Amy is a rock star at project management. I think her brain must work as one big gantt chart because she figured out all the important details on timing and coordinations before our wedding and was on top of the last minute fires the weekend of. Here are some of the standout things she did: - created our detailed timeline before the wedding - checked in with all our vendors the week before to make sure everyone was on the same page - helped me get ready the day of and kept me on schedule - suggested photo ops to our photographer (who seemed gracious of Amy's expertise) - helped fix last minute issues (e.g. we didn't have enough chairs for the ceremony and the venue's coordinator never addressed the issue.) - handed out our tips the day of - made sure my husband and I were okay on drinks and food at the reception Her pricing was ridiculously affordable. All in all, worth every penny. As someone who doesn't like to pay for things I think I can do myself... and was on the fence with a DOC to begin with... Amy was the best money we spent and I'm so glad and thankful she was with us!
Pabvon was our wedding day coordinator last year (May 4, 2013). To say she was wonderful is an understatement. Pabvon worked with both my husband and I during the months leading up to our big day. She was very detailed oriented which was evident the day of the wedding. From organizing the bridal party to keeping the groomsmen on track to making sure my guest transitioned smoothly from the wedding to cocktail hour to the reception... I could not have had such an amazing day without Pabvon. I highly recommend her services without question! Not to mention she is funny and will keep you smiling!

Tosh and her team did a fantastic job at our wedding party. She communicated clearly and regularly leading up to the event and was very flexible in terms of accommodating last minute changes. All her staff showed up on time and took care of everything I had asked them to take care off and them some. The bartenders she brought along were also very efficient in serving our 110 or so guests and no one had anything negative to say. Our event went off without a hitch and all our guests left happy and with many good memories. I would definitely recommend her again.
I had an amazing experience with Loris. She was very attentive to my needs as a bride while planning my wedding and helped put me at ease amidst what would usually be a chaotic time. Very grateful for that. She was also flexible with my budget. On the day of she made sure everything went perfectly.
From start to finish my experience with More Than a Favor was fantastic! I had personalised welcome boxes made for my wedding welcome party. They were really well received, our guests loved them. The great thing about More Than a Favor is that they work with you to come up with exactly what you want. There's no standard templates, it's all personalised and flexible to the look and feel you want to achieve. I even had children boxes created so they didn't feel left out. I would 100% recommend them and will most certainly be back for more!
Rohanie was the best wedding planner ever. My husband and I were in two foreign countries while our wedding was to be planned in the NY. Rohanie had to deal with 6 hours time difference with myself and 8 with my husband. She was extremely patient, professional and responsive to our late or early messages, emails, requests and questions. I can't count the number of times that I would ask her for something and she would simply answer by ''it has already been taking care of'' or ''it's already on the to do list''. She will also come up with ideas and suggestions that made the most important day of my life absolutely perfect. During the wedding, she was everywhere at the same time, making sure my hair was still good, adding more lipsticks, lightening candles, talking to the DJ and the photographer, making sure all the guests had food and drinks. The best feeling by having Rohanie around is that she has the this calming and stress killing effect, I enjoyed every single second of the wedding thanks to her. Rohanie also planned a get together with both families, knowing that my family members were coming from abroad and that they were spread in different hotels. She managed to provide transportation and took care of logistics to make sure everybody will get together to spend some time and know each other before the wedding. This was also a little complicated as some members didn't even speak English. As final comment, Rohanie will simply find a solution to every single problem.
My fiance and I used Distinctive Visions event Management to take care of our wedding invitations and the service was nothing short of wonderful. I wasn’t entirely sure where I wanted to go with the style for them (we have 6 different colors in the wedding), but Nya was patient and helped lead us in the right direction. I am very happy with the final product, and we didn’t have to do anything except mail them! She worked hard to stay under our budget and was still able to deliver the perfect invitations. I will definitely use Distinctive Visions again in the future for more than just invitations.
Novaoriginal Events was the event designer for my wedding last year. I had seen pictures of her work and decided to trust her with the most important day of my life. From the décor to the flowers to the lighting to the cake, even the dinner menus, it was more than I could have even imagined. She planned every detail which took alot of stress off me! She took my vision and turned it into such a flawless luxury event my family is still raving about it. She was very warm and professional and responsive to what I wanted. So of course I turned to her again to design my baby shower this past July. Again it was a gorgeous 5 star event beyond my expectations. I would recommend her for any event. See my pics below! Jermaine was a great officiant, did not mind giving input on other aspects of the wedding and was completely flexible as there were many last minute changes. I Will definitely be recommending him to family and friends getting married.
We felt comfortable planning our wedding, but needed someone to help out She call all my vendors a few one month out to make sure everyone knew where they needed to be and at what time. We met a few months before my wedding and after talking I felt very comfortable that she knew exactly what I was looking for. She gave me all kinds of great tips and recommendations. I loved her as my planner and highly recommend her business!
