I am so glad that my husband and I decided to work with Chef Ellen for our wedding party. So many things about our experience were great: the food presentation was awesome and she took a lot of care to make sure it matched our aesthetic; Ellen's staff was super pro and worked well in a venue with no kitchen; Ellen was very responsive in her communication and I felt well taken care of. And most importantly, the FOOD was delicious! Would happily recommend Renegade Caterers to anyone.
Matt was great for my event. From the start, he was very responsive and helped provide the list of what to buy. He also alleviated some of the planning by catering the appetizers which made it super helpful. We hired 1 server and 1 bartender-- which we definitely should've hired one more person for the amount of guests we had-- but the two were super helpful. Even when it was down pouring, Matt continued to help and serve guests. I would absolutely recommend Matt. If you are even thinking about having servers at your event, definitely go with Santisi Catering!
Chef Charly did a fantastic job catering a dinner I hosted at my home for 20 people. He cooked several delicious French dishes, delivered them on time and was very easy to work with. I highly recommend him.
Chris catered a dinner party at my apartment and everything was top notch. He arrived promptly, had enough time to get organized before the guests arrived, and looked very professional. The presentation of the food was as delicious as it tasted. My friend helped organize the menu and every course was more delicious than the next. I look forward to having him caterer more frequently, as well as teach cooking classes. Chris' professionalism and attentiveness was incredible. Thank you again for a wonderful evening!
I found Bacco Caterers on Thumbtack. I was impressed with the five stars and the reviews, so I contacted Chef Lauren to begin to see if she was the caterer for usand was she ever! Joyce and I wanted to include our friends and family in our marriage anniversary celebration in our Brooklyn home. We are novice Open House hosts and Lauren advised us re details we would never have thought of, including in our menu selections. Her staff, chef Amanda and sous chef Laura, created freshly made hors dhoeuvres in our kitchen as the party occurred, superb finger food that was varied, interesting, and delicious! People, including us, loved it. The servers Karen, Tony, and Kevin, and bartender Elroy were unobtrusively attentive and friendly to our guests. Our party took place on two floors and the yard, and the staff kept the food appearing and the empty glasses disappearing with seeming effortlessness. Many guests commented on how comfortable they made everyone feel, contributing to the general sense of joyousness. In spite of our request for no gifts, or perhaps because of it, many of our 50 guests brought flowers. As soon as I was handed the bouquets, Tony would appear and would arrange them in vases I had directed him to when flowers first arrived. I was free during the whole party to visit with my friends and family. I, who am not a party-person, enjoyed myself fully during this celebration, and I am grateful to Chef Lauren and her staff for the many ways (including a fantastic clean-up) they helped make that possible. I used Tamara for my engagement party and she was fantastic! I had about 60 people and we started with passed h'ourderves during a cocktail hour in one room (she provided the staff and a bartender). While this happened she was setting up the buffet dinner in another room. She let me know when it was ready and then (timing was flawless) we moved into the second room for dinner. My friends and family raved about the food, which included gluten-free and vegan options as many had dietary restrictions. We had a French theme as I had gotten engaged in France and Tamara worked with me on a French menu, including a delicious chocolate-hazelnut crepe desert with fresh berries. She was totally on-point with timing, presentation, and professional execution, including proactively handling things like insurance with the building so it wasn't a hassle for me. The reason I initially chose her was because she was more reasonable than the other bids I received for caterers in New York but she offered identical services to what they had proposed and she went the extra mile the day of the event. I will definitely be using her again and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I am still receiving compliments on her food and the friendliness/professionalism of her staff.
We had a party in our home for 30 colleagues. Chef Dan arrived exactly on time and brought everything he needed with him. He prepared an array of visually appealing and delectable tasting culinary creations that wowed our guests taste buds and satiated their appetites. The bartender was great and the servers did an impeccable job of constantly bringing Dan's gourmet offerings while being pleasant and unobtrusive. Many caterers provide quantity and some high quality- chef Dan did both at a reasonable price and with a smile on his face. He cooked everything fresh in our kitchen and when he and his staff finished, our kitchen looked as pristine as when he arrived. The party was great fun and a big success. We are so happy to have chosen Manjar to cater our New Year's Day party. Experience with a variety of caterers over the years has shown how hard it can be to find someone who is responsive during the planning process and provides excellent food and service. Everything we had on our menu was delicious! Hosting a group of well-traveled, adventurous eaters, having highly flavorful dishes, aesthetically presented, is always a goal. Thanks to Adolpho and his staff that was exactly what we got. We would order everything again but I must say that everyone agreed that the baby lamb chops were the best they ever had (and this group has had a lot!), and the tuna ceviche was exceptional. But I don't want to slight the other dishes (especially the superb mushroom risotto and vegetable "towers" which were beautiful...I could go on and on). I was impressed from the beginning with our first exchanges through Thumbtack. Adolpho mentioned doing a walk-through months before to see our physical set-up. Besides the hour I'm sure it took him to get here, we spent another hour talking and making final plans. I never felt rushed; he is a great listener. He asked questions that I wouldn't have considered and the party was all the better for that. We felt totally pampered and relaxed throughout the evening. The kitchen was left immaculate. Adolpho captures what is, to me, the best combination of professionalism and warmth. He is simply delightful to work with, as are his staff. Erika was a chef that planned and executed an amazing dinner. The menu was seasonal and cooked to perfection. She expertly paired wine with each course that brought out the flavors of the food and the palette of the wine. A must for any successful dinner! MEC
Chef Martin was very responsive. He offered us a great price and a great menu. The day of the party he arrived earlier than expected and set up a wonderful buffet of food that was all delicious. I would highly recommend anyone using him for a catered event.
Best experience ever. We needed a bartender for a private birthday party I was organizing for my boss and took a chance on hiring HighLife. Not only did we get a bartender but we got Tyler himself - the owner of HighLife. He was amazing. Our chef we hired from a different company was a disaster and Tyler took it upon himself to help serve the meals, set the tables with wine glasses, pour water/wine throughout dinner, not to mention making the best margaritas on the planet. Extremely reasonable prices with top notch service that is so hard to find these days. Next party I organize I will simply call Tyler. Whether I need a bartender, chef, catering, etc - HighLife will be my only phone call. Thanks for everything!

There are many words to use to complement Oscar in is choices of creative dining. creative,unique,very pleasureable to the palett. colorful. The eye appeal makes you want to extend your look before you reach for your fork. He uses only the finest of fresh herbs. He is a fine person with a great personality. You can tell his passion is to please his clients. He generally goes beyond the call of what is expected.
Alana is an outstanding Chef, she is professional, committed and passionate. She created an amazing buffet-cocktail menu for our event. We recommend her as she is one of the best chef in town.

It was a pleasure to work with Chef Dave and his staff, Danielle who tended bar and Lawrence who did general assist. They were prompt and did a fantastic job both setting up and cleaning up everything. Chef Dave's food is outstanding! I got so many compliments on the food and presentation - all my guests were so impressed. The sliced sirloin steak was juicy and tender; the salmon was moist and tasty; and the eggplant parmigiana was incredible - best I've ever had! The mini meatballs and lobster rolls were a big hit, too. AND to finish off the buffet meal, Chef Dave's chocolate chip cookies were scrumptious! I really enjoyed having Chef Dave cater my special event - he was professional, accommodating, an all-around great guy. I highly recommend him!
I was overwhelmed with the demands and costs of a wedding and did not know how to proceed with catering services for the wedding. The costs for 50-60 people were exceedingly high and my budget was suffering because of it. I had made several calls to different caterers but to no avail. Then I tried Thumbtack.com and was very fortunate enough to speak with Yvonne Chambers from Taste of Our Legacy Caterers. She was very patient, reliable, understanding and resilient when it came to addressing the wedding menu. She held a great rapport with me and provided me with sublime customer service. She was also very negotiable with my budget and instead of turning me down like the other caterers; she worked with me until we came up with a price that was fitting. There are not too many caterers like her; she is one of a kind! On my wedding day Saturday, September 27, 2014, the food was delicious! My husband and I enjoyed the delectable arrangements of food. All of my wedding guests were commenting on how great the food tasted. Our wedding menu had a variety of dishes and even had a vegetarian dish as well (pasta primavera) which was a huge hit!
