I took guitar lessons from Jimi on a fairly constant basis for about 3 years. The best and most unique feature of his teaching style is the balance between the freedom Jimi gives students in what they want to achieve musically, and the structure that he provides students with that will allow them to reach that goal. Personally, I learned advanced rock and jazz guitar techniques and improvisation from Jimi, and I am very happy with my current level of ability. Especially helpful is his extremely coherent way of explaining often over-complicated music theory. Jimi treats his students with an optimistic and respectful attitude, and creates a very welcoming and encouraging environment for the music student.

I have a wide array of services. I have tutored middle school subjects (except math), guitar, magic the gathering, and even online computer gaming. I also seek to be a pet sitter. One of my favorite things as a tutor is to learn with the client. Whatever I may be teaching them has a lesson for me to learn, so I too become a student as we both venture to acquire new knowledge. I am a loving man who aspires greatness for all.

I have been voted and considered NY's top guitar teacher for many years now. I teach over 60 lessons a week and I have far more experience than practically every teacher out there. I have been the touring guitarist for Lita Ford, Bent Pussycat, Almost Queen, and dozens of acts, as well as a broadway performer, and recently as the lead guitarist in Rock of Ages. I teach all styles and levels. I have a proven method of teaching that I have been using for twenty years. My students have gone on to become some of the top music teachers and performers in the business, and with my contacts I have helped them secure some incredible jobs and gigs. I teach in a very supportive and encouraging matter that never judges anyone. Lessons are productive and most of all enjoyable. I can sayed without a doubt, that only after one lesson you will agree that you are finally on the right path to reach the musical goals you always dreamed of. Search the web and You Tube, and you will certainly find my work. I do NYSSMA training and coaching, as well as scholarship audition planning and practicing. I also work as a consultant and trainer for music teachers who want to improve their own music lesson businesses. I have very few spots open, but I am always willing to take on a serious student regardless of level. All students are screened before starting. A free consultation with me is encouraged before committing to lessons.

We offer private lessons for the following majors: * Piano * Guitar * Drum set * Orchestral Percussion * Solo Marimba * Saxophone * Clarinet * Flute We offer music therapy for children with special needs. We also offer music production and engineering for older students interested in involvement in modern styles of music such as hip-hop, pop and dance. We have a magical way of incorporating music theory, ear training, music history and music technology into our lessons, making it a fun learning experience for our students. They leave our lessons wanting to share all of the new information that they've learned, and you'll be impressed by their new found knowledge in music. Our "PEP!" program includes over a dozen master classes given by well accomplished and famous musicians. It's a great opportunity for our students and families to learn and interact with these notable musicians. Our director, Ms. Diana, provides free ensemble rehearsals throughout the year for our "PEP!" members. We have performed band arrangements of songs by Panic! I offer private lessons directly from your computer. Are you around a computer screen? Do you own an Internet? Then you're just a click away from me! Please check out my YouTube videos (URL below). I have 14 years of experience bringing about and learning the guitar. My mastery includes almost any subgenre of rock n’ roll, jazz, blues, classical, heavy metal, and show tunes/musical music. I also have 3 years of experience teaching players ages 11 to 47 years old, from beginners to seasoned guitarists of 30 years. This is in addition to my background in musical counterpoint, theory, composition, history, and production; again, in all styles. I place supreme importance on being able to approach music as a musician, rather than as an instrumentalist. This means that the guitar (and any other instrument) is merely a means to an end, that, when arrived at skillfully, grabs and affects the audience every single time. Any guitarist can, after some time, bang some notes out in the correct rhythm and arrangement. But only a musician will use those notes to emotionally touch the greatest amount of people in the audience. Notes are not easy to learn, to be sure. That's where a good teacher comes in handy. But the best teachers keep your focus on what to do with the notes after you know how to play them well. After all, that's when the real work begins: the dynamics, the beginnings and the endings of notes and phrases, the facial expressions, the nod of the head, the words that are said before and after a song, the way that you sit and stand; these are the lifeblood of music. These are also the secrets that separate the greatest performers from "those friends of yours." And these are the things that give me, and the best musicians I know, the most fun when making music. Exploring what is beyond the notes is what sustains our discipline and allows us to keep improving. Check out my videos to see what I mean. Well? Go ahead. I'm exactly on the further side of your computer screen.
