I hired Jeremy to tutor me in the ACT. I contacted him planning for to get at least a 30 on the ACT. I am now aiming for a 34 on my next ACT due to Jeremy's tutoring. He has been exceeding my expectations in the way he deconstructs the test and makes doing well on it so much easier. In addition, he serves as my college adviser, and I have finally been given some good direction in the complex college process. Right now, I am looking into high level schools like multiple Ivy League schools, WashU in St. Louis, Vanderbilt, Tufts, and Bucknell. Also, he is very flexible with scheduling and very personal with students and family. Highly recommended!

I started working with Kamil late in my college process. Many tutors doubted that I had enough time to prep and were only willing to work with me as a sort of "second hand client". With only two months left before my last possibly act during my senior year, Kamil and I worked day and night to achieve my goal score. Often meeting before and running after midnight only to see each other at six the next day, Kamil and I turned my test scores around to help me get into Cornell University. Kamil is kind, conscientious and committed. For him, standardized testing tutoring is a calling. He is his own brand.

I've studied Precalculus and Calculus with Sasha. She has a deep understanding of the subjects and clearly, and patiently, articulates the steps to solving problems. She challenges me to solve the problem on my own, only dropping hints, or showing the solution, when I'm truly stuck. She does not waste time and is always encouraging me to try more problems. Administratively, she is responsible and flexible vis-a-vis the time and place of tutoring sessions. She is a valuable asset and a bargain.

James was the perfect fit for our teenager, for both ACT tutoring and college application/essay coaching. Not only did the ACT scores in question jump 5 points to a high score, but he had a pragmatic and helpful approach to the college process that was very well received. He had a positive outlook and cultivated confidence in our son, who had been a little nervous about the application process. James came to our house and was always polite, professional and on time. So far we've had all positive decisions from colleges and are so grateful!

We have recently hired Dr. Fikar and Harvard Review as SAT/ACT tutors for my son. Thus far they have been prompt and very professional. Dr. Fikar is a great motivator and seems to have invaluable knowledge of the test and how to get great results. We are at the start of our training but we already feel that we have made a great choice. He is fast to reply and easy to work with. And most importantly, my son if fired up to do well.

Are you looking for a math tutor who is well prepared for each lesson, who is a math genius, who is clearly passionate about teaching and who really cares whether his students are making progress? Well, you have found him in Aron G. from Spring Valley, NY! I was having difficulty with trigonometry. The support I was receiving in my private school was very limited, but I still wanted to take the Regent. I had moved several times during my elementary schooling and then skipped a grade, which didn't exactly help my math background. I had worked with several private tutors on trigonometry for months to prepare for the Regent. No improvement. In fact, I was feeling less and less confident that I would be able to master the subject. It seemed like I wasn't fitting into the cookie cutter. Then I started to work with Mr. G. At our first class, I couldn't believe how well prepared he was. He had written his own outline of the topic for our lesson. He provided a broad overview of the topic at hand, which made sense to me. He showed me some examples. Then he had me doing problems on my own--and I could! Working with Mr. G. for several weeks really made me feel like I would be able to pass the Regent. Mr. G. built on my strengths. But he also quickly identified my weaknesses. We zeroed in on gaps that I had in my mathematics background. It turns out that though I was missing some basics, I actually have somewhat of a facility for trigonometry. Once Mr. G. helped me to close the gaps and acquire the missing basics, I was able to do the trigonometry. Now I not only feel good about trigonometry, but I feel good about math in general. I am so happy and grateful to have found such a great tutor and great teacher in Aron G. from Spring Valley, NY.

I can not recommend RSK tutoring enough because of the overall quality of the service being provided. An intelligent tutor who is also punctual, respectful and kind is just what I needed to do well on my college entrance exams.

Ethan was a key factor in helping me achieve a 35 on the ACT. His guidance is impeccable, acting in the best interest of the student; when I struggled to improve my SAT score, he made the decisive choice to change our preparation path to toward the ACT. The change was essential to achieving the high score that I wanted. Although I was never a humanities-oriented person, he also helped to improve my human skills which in turn boosted my scores. My reading and English scores skyrocketed after he helped me these more abstract sections with logic and reasoning. I recommend Ethan to anyone who is looking to improve their scores; his knowledge and poise are unmatched.

Our daughter had all the pieces in place for a successful collehe app - except for her sat score. She had 4 months to raise her score by 200 points. We knew she needed a tutor and Nick came highly recommended by her guidance counselor. The results were immediate. We are in his debt.

Certainly happy with the results from my work with Apex. First practice test was high 500s and made it up to 710 after a bunch of sessions with Mike. Admittedly, I was hesitant to work with Apex at first because of the price. However, I am glad I went with them. Tried a few other gmat tutoring services but was unsatisfied after a few sessions of simply going through problems and book based solution guides. Apex's approach was different and more effective in helping quickly solve more challenging questions. This resulted in a more efficient use of my study time. Because of this, I would recommend Apex. Additionally, related to the GMAT was that Mike was able to provide a few solid bits of advice for actual test day. Unrelated to the GMAT, Mike was able to provide some advice on applications and essays, which was an added benefit.

John definitely is a good tutor in the sense that he has smart strategies to help students improve. I think he was very resourceful and patient when I worked with him in trying to help me understand my mistakes. He wasn't stingy in terms of time either and certainly wanted me to succeed. Something I think John can improve on, however, is making the life of his students a tad easier. What I mean by that is that he sometimes makes working with him a bit of a challenge. Often he would respond to emails late or send graded material over days late. There were things that he said he would send over but it seems he has completely forgotten about it. I completely understand his other obligations in terms of family and work but it's a little disheartening to see that at a point he ceased sending over things he initially promised. Maybe he has a lot of other obligations on his schedule and I understand that, however, I wish he would make this more clear if it were the case. Anyway, if you need extra support with LSAT tutoring I would recommend him for his skills and strategies.

Samantha has been an excellent ACT tutor for me. While most tutors simply teach you a standard curriculum and simply reveal answers to wrong questions, she makes sure that what you learn is understood properly and can be practically used, and really goes in depth in going through your mistakes. This ensures that you don't repeat the same mistakes for similar questions in the future.

Gail is a very kind warm hearted person. Before Gail my son wasn't doing very well and his grades were poor, he always complained about not feeling well to get out of going to school, he would always say I hate school. Since we have hired Gail my son couldn't be happier he smiles going to school he looks forward to his tutor coming every week it's completely private in my own home. My son has caught up on many missing assignment's, his teacher's have notice a big difference in him. I would Highly recommend Above Grade Level In-Home Tutoring with Gail Switsky. She is always available to answer any questions you may have and more importantly Gail will go above and beyond for your child. We are very pleased.

Nirmal was very helpful and thorough. I've taken Manhattan GMAT classes and self studies including OG books but I was struggling to get through a certain score that was not happy with. Nirmal really helped me focus on the areas that I needed help on, CR and RC especially, and I improved so much in a month and half. I actually did feel better studying on my own outside of tutor sessions also, thanks to Nirmal. How to approach different question types, how to play with the timing, and etc are all very different for different people and Nirmal really helped me find my own pace and my own tactics to practice. He was very patient and thorough with questions I had, and guided me through the score I finally feel comfortable with. I appreciate all the effort and time Nirmal took to make sure that I understand and do better each time -- even when my mistakes were getting repeated and my scores did not increase drastically. It's also how you take on this time with Nirmal and how much effort you put in. :) If you are on the fence, no need to look further and just go for it! I highly recommend Nirmal. Good luck!

Tristan tutored my son for his SAT's and did a fabulous job. My son was not confident when he first took them and he had not studied. I felt that for him to have a chance at a higher score he needed one on one tutoring. Even though Tristan resided in Connecticut and my son in Long Island, Tristan took the challenge and tutored my son via Skype. Xavier recently took the SAT's again in January and his score were raised over 100 points. Tristan only tutored my son for six weeks. I wonder how many more points my son would of raised his score if he had been tutored by Tristan longer. I attribute my son 's success to Tristan and his patience and diligence with my son. He was always on time and professional. He provided written reports after each session and kept me abreast of what he would target with Xavier to improve his scores. I am very happy that I chose Tristan to tutor my son. His prices were very reasonable and he was knowledgeable and kind towards my son. I recommend him and his organization to anyone he wants to help their child succeed. So far my son has been admitted to two private colleges and he has received grants. Thank you Tristan! Dan is an absolutely fantastic tutor. He's a super knowledgeable, smart, easy-to-work-with tutor who really helped my daughter improve substantially on the ACT. I've used other tutors in the past for academic support for her and she always complained about having to go to lessons, but never so with Dan - she actually looked forward to seeing him each week. I was very impressed and would highly recommend him to anyone! Major thumbs up, both for his skills with students and his ability to achieve top scores on high-stakes tests like the ACT.

Thomas Meli has been tutoring my son for the SAT for months, both on line and in person. He keeps my son engaged and wanting to do better. Tom is patient, easy going and yet very positive and motivating all at the same time. My son continues to enjoy the whole experience. Tom’s approach is based on comprehension and he teaches his students study techniques they can apply for the SAT and beyond. He has helped my son bring his SAT grade up by 160 points and he is currently working at doing even better!
