We used the photo booth for a grad party. I was a little hesitant to book with some one I know nothing about. I was not sure if all the positive comments were made up. Happy to say....from a 1- 10 grading system (with 10 being outstanding), I give a 20+. Any positive comment you read is 100% spot on. First time I have used a photo booth. I'd it is not broken don't fix it....I would never use anyone else....everything was that good!

I hired Aaron to design a cover for my book project. He was incredibly helpful, attentive, and very professional. He stayed within my budget and finished the project in a very timely manner. I am extremely happy with the final result, it is absolutely amazing! Thanks so much, Aaron!

I am pleased to write this review for Janie. I needed a piece I wrote edited and proofread but was concerned to be turning it over to a "stranger". I took the chance with Janie and she was a perfect choice. She was quick, responsible, knowledgable and sensitive to the piece. She cleaned it up, making it presentable and making me look like I knew shat I was doing. She can be sure that with the next thing I need to submit to publishers I will call her and no longer Ghost Busters.

Amy is an extremely skilled photographer. She has taken photos of my 3 boys, one of which is a special needs child, and is incredibly patient and understanding. Her pictures are stunning, and she is VERY reasonably priced compared to other professional photographers. I'm so glad to have her!

Andreas has assisted me with several projects over the last few years and they have all been expetional. One of the projects was creating unique images for our company website encore.tech. He has also assisted with videotaping my presentation on the Siege of Cincinnati during the Civil War, which is currently published on YouTube. He also created a 360 degree video of the James A Ramage Civil War Museum in Ft. Wright, Kentucky. And he is adding a drone view of the site as well. Andreas is a true professional and one the most enjoyable people I have ever worked with. His artistic talent is extremely diverse. We met Don at a memorial service in downtown Franklin, NC during the "Airing of the Quilts" festival in May of 2013. He immediately was very friendly and professional when asked to photograph our children who were performing at the festival. He was prompt in sending beautiful prints of the event. Also he was generous with our usage of the photos and presented us with a top- notch keepsake album.

I chose Rachael to do some family photos for us. My husband and I wanted outdoor photos of us and our two children. We were looking for something relaxed, fun, and natural. We especially wanted our kids to look like the two kids we spend everyday with, not stiff or overly formal like some photos we have gotten in the past with other photographers. We were not disappointed; Rachael was able to capture our family they way we truly are, wild, crazy, and fun! I love my photos and have them displayed proudly in my living room for all my guest and friends to see.

Handzy assisted me in the creative direction for my minimalist travel workbook. They took on the content I provided and gave the book the creative and organized touch it needed. I was beyond satisfied in their willingness to take on the project, diligent communication, providing genuine feedback, and quick turn around! The pricing for their work was fair and they definitely deliver on their promise of quality work. If you're looking to give your next project some unique creativity or increase the quality of your design work, I highly recommend putting your trust in the hands of Handzy!

Michelle helped me edit a few creative nonfiction pieces I was working for publication. Her thoughtful developmental editing helped me see flaws in he narrative arc, noticed details that were distracting to the story, and helped me see places that needed more complete explanation. Her copy editing caught many errors that my own dozen or so readings (and the proofreading of other people) missed. Because of her help, four of the eight essays she edited for me have been published in journals such as The Iowa Review and Epiphany Magazine. Her feedback is insightful and timely, and has made Michelle one of my go-to readers.

Chris, at Studio Equinox has done fine, detailed, and exact work for me. He is organized, timely, and most important: honest. He has never failed to meet a deadline, and has always been quite willing to work with me on any, even sometimes hard to realize, concepts. I would recommend this man, and his talents, to anyone. He has earned an A plus in my book.

How do you hire a good grant writer?

Grants are available to nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses that qualify for government grants, and individuals who qualify for foundation or government grants. Hiring a good grant writer can help you gain funding in your chosen field. According to the American Grant Writers’ Association, grant writers can help you research potential grant opportunities; write grant proposals, create budgets, and build budget narratives; review written materials before you submit; prepare a business plan; analyze your organization for grant competitive qualities; prepare research grants; help with 501(c)(3) applications for nonprofits; and more. Investing in the right grant writer could result in a financial win for your organization. Generally no licenses or certificates are required to be a good grant writer, but you may want to find a grant writer who has been certified (not just received a certificate of completion) by a reputable organization such as the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Qualities to look for in a good grant writer include:

      • Proven success writing winning grants, especially in your target area.
      • Strong writing skills.
      • Strong math skills and demonstrated proficiency with budgeting.
      • Careful attention to detail — brilliant grant proposals may be rejected just for formatting errors, so you want someone who follows instructions explicitly.
      • Expertise in your target area.
      • Punctuality and good communication skills.

How much does a grant writer cost?

Hiring a grant writer can give you a competitive edge when applying for financial grants for your business or nonprofit organization, or as an individual. The cost to hire a grant writer can vary depending on their academic background, areas of expertise, previous grant writing success and years of experience. According to the Grant Professionals Association, grant writers should be paid hourly or by flat fee. It is unethical for a grant writer to accept a commission or percentage compensation of grant monies received. They can, however, be awarded bonuses in line with the hiring company’s prevailing practices. Here are some examples of average grant writing fees:

      • Hourly rate for grant writers with less experience or fewer grants awarded: $25-$35 per hour.
      • Hourly rate for grant writers with some degree of success: $35-$75 per hour.
      • Hourly rate for grant writers with proven success winning large grants: $75-$150 or more per hour.
      • For a smaller grant, the writer may charge a flat fee of $200-$500 for preparation and submission.

Pricing may also vary based on the complexity of the grant application. A federal grant that requires pages of research, budgets and a business plan may take more than 30 hours to prepare. For a high-level grant writer who charges $100 per hour, this means $3,000 or more in grant writing fees.

Most grant writers will provide you with a total cost estimate before agreeing to the work. You may be required to pay a deposit up front, or the grant writer may work from a retainer. Often, seasoned grant writers pay for themselves in the long run by writing successful grants.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
