Singing lessons with Kathy were lots of fun, different to what I was used to and gave me more confidence when it came to auditions. Rather than doing songs we did lots of vocal exercises which I found really beneficial as they helped me understand how my voice worked. Through these exercises I also found that the quality of my voice improved and I now have more control over the sound I make. We were also able to do some lessons over skype which worked really well. Kathy is a fab teacher and really easy to talk to. Orla (15)

He is giving my 13-year-old granddaughter singing lessons. She's a bit ADD, and he's very patient and helps her focus on the things she needs to learn. He is very professional and clearly loves what he does. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

I have taken singing lessons from Mrs. Sturgis for 3 years now, and I have seriously learned more than I ever thought possible. In just three years, I went from not really knowing how to sing (and only a very basic knowledge of musical notes) to preparing to take music lessons at a college level! And I owe it all to her. She is a phenomenal teacher and I couldn't have asked for a better one. She is incredibly knowledgeable, forever patient, completely dedicated, is always willing to explain things as many times as need be, and maintains an open and pleasant atmosphere which made learning not only educational but incredibly fun and rewarding. She is truly outstanding, and I would recommend her to ANYBODY who wants to learn about music and how to perform it.

Angela has a beautiful singing voice. She makes all of our church celebrations very special with her music and attention to details. She works very hard to enhance our worship through song. She also played at both of my daughter's weddings and my grandmother's funeral. Everything went perfectly and I received so many compliments. With so many things to worry about when planning a wedding, I knew I could have complete trust in her and everything would be perfection!

I'm a tenor who sings professionally in several groups around Cincinnati, and I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough as a voice teacher. It's very hard to find a good voice teacher, and especially one who is equally comfortable teaching classical and popular styles like Sarah (I've worked with her on opera, music theater, and pop). Moreover, Sarah is passionate about vocal health; using your voice in a healthy manner is her utmost concern. I came to her having some vocal issues and she immediately gave me helpful exercises to do at home that helped greatly at a time when I had a lot of singing to do. She has even presented on vocal health at conferences. Plus she loves teaching! I have recommended her in person several times as well. I truly think she is an outstanding teacher and anyone of any level could benefit from her teaching!

I wanted to step out on a limb and try a singing lesson to even see if it was possible for me to match pitch! I went my entire life thinking I was a terrible singer and just not possible for me. The first lesson with Danielle started a little shaky, but by the time we were 20 minutes into the lesson I all of a sudden started to match pitch. She was so wonderful about teaching the importance of breathing and getting a proper breath, that within 20 minutes I went from "oh boy" to "ok maybe we can work with this"! I just finished my 4th lesson and I can pretty much match pitch almost at first try every time and she said I can even begin working on a song next lesson. I honestly can't even believe how I sound when I sing now. I obviously have a lot of work to do still, but she has helped me think tha now the impossible is possible! I couldn't be more pleased!

Ms. Nelson is an experienced and professional vocal coach who came highly recommended to us through a respected member of the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM). Though my daughter has only been working with Ms. Nelson for 9 months, we've seen her transform from a shy singer into a strong mezzo-soprano, who was recently accepted into the Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts for vocal music. Ms. Nelson teaches strong technique, but is also warm, lively, patient and fun for my daughter. She really enjoys her voice lessons with Ms. Nelson. I highly recommend her for all ages and skill levels.

My son, Alex, says, "Josh is an amazing guitar teacher! He is very knowledgeable in music and is qualified to teach anything from beginner guitar to professional. He has been a joy to work with, someone who can get along with anyone. Josh helped me prepare for my college guitar audition, (which was the primary reason I sought out a teacher this past year) and it went very well, I was awarded lots of scholarship money and was accepted into the music program in Nashville I applied for! He has been so helpful already that I have decided to keep taking lessons from him weekly to better prepare myself for music school this Fall, when I go down to Nashville for the start of my Freshman year! Thank you Josh, you have been a blessing!"

My daughter took voice lessons from this instructor for about one year. She said that the lessons were always fun and that the instructor was strong on warm-ups. The instructor helped my daughter have a greater accuracy in pitch and helped her grow in confidence. This instructor has an incredible voice and is very professional. If you are looking for someone to instruct you or your family member, I highly recommend this instructor!

Hayley was my first ever voice teacher - she was phenomenal! I was so nervous to take lessons, or to sing in front of anyone, and I truly feel like the time I spent working with her made me a better singer. I definitely recommend her!

I've been taking voice lessons with Allison for 4 months. Allison is knowledgable and professional. The lessons are enjoyable and I'm seeing improvement in my singing. I appreciate her willingness to let me choose some of the songs I'm learning and the flexibility to work around my schedule. I'm an older adult who has wanted to take voice lessons for a long time. I'm glad I finally started and that I found the Sharp School of Music.
