Great Plumbers These dudes are down to earth! I had called at 9am for these guys to unclog my toilet. They came 25 minutes later and took no more than 10 minutes to unclog it. I would totally recommend Stone Creek and I will be using them again in the future! By the way, the cost was under $90.00

The plumber replaced and re-aligned but the problem is that thevsinks are still backing up although they do drain much better. I am supposed to call the plumber back and schedule an appointment to have further work done that hopefully solve the problem.

Ron Rogers is an outstanding and honest man. I hired Ron to paint home over 3040 sq. Attention to details and finishing in a timely matter was a big plus. Ron also refinished our wooden stairs . I also hired Ron to paint and hang shelves in my church office. I also hired Ron to put in a french drain and it works with no problems. recommend highly Ron Rogers to do any kind of home improvements.

Easter Sunday our house was full of family. Our septic system suddenly backed up. We called several plumbing companies not expecting an answer only leave a few messages. Wade the owner to my surprise answered his phone and came right out. We opened our septic tank and it was full. There were tree roots everywhere. He found a cement distribution manifold about 4 ft in front of our tank leading to the lateral lines and it was packed full of roots not allowing our tank to drain into the lateral lines. After about 4 hours of work he had completely cleaned our lateral lines and the distribution tank. He even plumbed up to surface and installed a cap that allows me to be able to clean debris directly out of the distribution manifold. He taught me so much about septic tank duties and liabilities that I was completely unaware of. I was very worried about the price of a Easter Sunday service call. To my surprise he treated me very fair. I couldn't be happier. I made a genuine friend that day.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What are plumbers and what do they do?

Plumbers are skilled professionals who are trained to install and maintain pipes and systems for drinking water, sewage and drainage. They usually have trained through four- to five-year training programs, which include apprenticeships, via trade schools and community colleges. Plumbers’ areas of expertise typically go beyond pipes to include mathematics, blueprint reading, plumbing codes and water distribution. They handle plumbing emergencies, such as broken pipes or clogged drains, and install and maintain everything from a new piping system to a replacement faucet. Plumbers also know how to install bathtubs and showers, toilets, water heaters and dishwashers. Plumbers may work on residential or commercial sites, sometimes designing and laying out a pipe system during construction.

How do you find a good plumber?

Whether you need a plumber to perform drain repair, install a new fixture, or replace rusty pipes, you need to make sure you hire someone reliable who will finish your job on time and within budget. Start by asking the plumbers on your short list these questions:

    • What is the total cost? Make sure your estimate includes materials and labor. Find out whether the plumber will be providing the materials and whether you’re being charged an hourly rate (which is variable) or a flat fee.
    • Is removal and cleanup included in the job? Some plumbers leave behind old parts, while others include the cleanup in the cost.
    • Is the work guaranteed? Find out whether the work (as well as the parts or fixtures) are guaranteed under a warranty.
