What a significant difference with our french doors and front door with complete replacement and upgrade to weather stripping on all doors and planed the door for a great sealing door. Quick to respond to Thumbtack emails; punctual for all appointments; explained challenges to our door situation and provided alternatives; and cleaned up after his work was complete. Responded very quickly. Replaced the door with a prehung door but did not get the peephole. Only complaint is the paint job was not done well and the screws holding the plates for the door to lock do not sit into wood or wall. For some reason looks like they did not remove the old damaged frame inside the door. Would like a second opinion if this job was done correctly. Paid $1300 no contract and payment was via Venmo

My front door had a major sagging problem and couldn’t be locked without lifting the door and turning the lock as hard as you can. And then good luck getting it unlocked. I reached out to Kurtis through thumbtack and within minutes he responded to my request, asked for pictures and responded with a solution + updating the weatherstripping with the cost to repair.
Kurtis arrived on time and thoroughly fixed my door and weatherized it. He brought all the tools and supplies which was awesome. He’s very friendly and professional.

The one think I want in a contractor is good communication. Kurtis was very prompt in responding to any questions or concerns that I had. He has a great eye for detail. I needed the seal on my door replaced and I sent him photos which focused on that issue. But just based off that he was able to point out a few other trouble spots with the door. I never felt pressured to have anything else done other than what I had planned. He was punctual, professional and I was very happy with the quality of work.
I wish he was a contractor who dealt with all aspects of house repair because he would be my go to person for everything!
