Chris was right on time and did an excellent job installing an exterior door. Will definitely use him for more house projects.
Reroofed home including removed two old layers, installed ne heat vents as needed, and redid roof with 30 yr. asphalt shingles, replaced wet or dry rotted wood, replaced, repainted damaged sheet rock section in interior close; painted plywood replacement areas under eaves, cleaned up thoroughly. We are exceptionally pleased with this very positive experience with Giron Construction. The attention, care, and professionalism of everyone from Giron at every level made this a dream experience. The only thing they could not do was keep it from being noisy (we stayed at home the entire time) but no one can expect the impossible!! We will most certainly use Giron for any future needs; they do more than roofing! From the time Lucas came to our home and did a thorough inspection, showed us photos of the outside of the roof and from inside the attic, we were comfortable with Giron, and with their competitive price. Lucas was totally professional, and a pleasure to work with. When he left, we had a complete understanding of what was needed, what products would be used, the warranties, and the timetable. When we subsequently chose the two roof colors we were interested in, he had two samples dropped by, and called to discuss the merits of both to assist us in deciding. We ran into what could have been a difficulty when the post-dated check we gave for the 50% down payment was cashed prematurely, but Mike Kroon at Giron was both accommodating and apologetic, and we all learned from the experience. By the way, paying by check saves a 3% credit card charge, which when dealing with a roof replacement adds up to "real money", so was the best payment method for the thrifty-minded! Spend what you need to for a quality product, but save wherever you can! The roofers arrived on schedule, went to work, and we chose to stay although it is certainly a noisy process! They were extremely workmanlike and diligent, working from early until nearly dark, cleaning up at the end of the day, and arriving on schedule the next day. We don't have a simple roof, lots of peaks and valleys, so we appreciated both their speed and their thoroughness over the three and a half days. We were THE most exciting property in the neighborhood on the day the shingles were delivered to the roof by a gigantic truck with a crane, which all the neighborhood kids (and adults) enjoyed watching! Again, this process was carried out professionally and thoughtfully, with a minimum of angst, although it's quite something to drive onto your block as I did (husband was home then) to see the hugest vehicle in the universe parked cattiwampus in your driveway and on the street lifting pallets of shingles onto your roof! Must say something about the owner Teo Giron, who texted a couple times in the evening to make sure all was going well. And, when I responded,he texted back. THAT is real, personal customer service and very greatly appreciated in this day when we deal with so many nameless, faceless people. After the roofing itself was complete and everything was cleaned up, Jose and Carlos came to repair the closet interior that had been damaged by a leak. They, too, were great, professional and friendly. They spread drop clothes to keep everything neat and tidy and did a through job. They also made sure that the new plywood pieces under the eaves were painted (we no longer had the paint, so they took a sample and $ I provided and matched it perfectly, so we now have some extra paint in case we need to do touchups on other parts of the house. These two gentlemen were a real pleasure to work with, as I said. In face, EVERYONE from Giron was exceptional, and that includes Jennifer, who handles scheduling and fields every sort of question no matter how silly or seemingly small. IF you are considering redoing your roof, or patching it, or any of the other services Giron offers, we recommend them highly.
My husband & I just moved to the PNW two months ago and do not know any contractors for painting. Our house needed entire interior painted. My niece told me about Thumbtack so I checked it out. Fernando Damas, owner, called immediately. He is so pleasant to talk to. He came to our home within a day or two. He emailed our quote to us the next day. His painters, Jose & Manuel are awesome. Our interior looks fabulous. They were punctual every day and worked some days until 7:30pm. We've had contactors before that would spend a lot of time on their cell phones. Not Jose or Manuel. We were extremely happy with them and especially the beautiful job they did. We recommend Damas Painting without any reservation. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
Alfredo did a really good job for a really great price. I made a lot of changes along the way but he was flexible with me and helpful in finding solutions that would look good and save us money. You won't find a better painter for the price.
Donnie was great with sheetrock and painting, lot of knowledge and expertise shows through the results. More clarity communications and timelines would have made this 5 star.
Ricardo is a man of his word. He absolutely is a quality craftsman for a reasonable price. He always did as he said, was always on time, and made sure everything was done properly and professionally. The only criticism I have is the project took one extra morning than originally projected. However, it's because Ricardo wasn't happy with the finish on the cabinets he painted. So he took them back to his shop to redo and to ensure the end result looked amazing. ON THE LAST DAY!! For no extra charge, just to make sure it was done right! Another point, Ricardo and one of his employees were sanding my cabinets by hand for hours with those soft sanding sponges during the prep phase of the project. I thought perhaps Ricardo didn't bring an orbital sander and I explained that I have one he could use if he wanted. He explained patiently that a powered sander could damage the cabinets, walls, or the counters. Gouge or round the edges and corners and what not. So he sands by hand even though it takes a bit longer. Remember, I'm not paying by the hour. THAT'S what I'm talking about. An absolute craftsman. I am having Ricardo paint my house this spring if he can squeeze me in. I feel like I've found a local secret and I plan to continue to hire him while I still can, or at least before everyone else catches on! Honest, hard working and humble family men like this that want to do a honest job for a fair price are hard to find. I couldn't recommend him more. A+++
Amazing crew. Had our living room, hallway, doors, and master bedroom painted. Estimate was very competitive. Finished ahead of schedule. Franky(?) was very communicative and detail oriented. They were very flexible with the adjustments we made and worked within our budget. Will hire them again to paint additional rooms.
I moved into a new house that had been landscaped previously but had been left to its own. It was like a jungle and was even effecting the roof. Fraser came and cleaned everything up in a single day, charged about a hundred dollars less and fixed my roof where it had been affected. I had received other quotes that were outrageous but he came in did the work for less time and money. He is great.
Jason and his crew went above and beyond! They were very thorough, deep cleaning the whole house for new tenants and also making the carpets look like new. It looked fabulous when they were finished. They showed up by 11 (on time) and stayed until around 7 since the carpet cleaning took place after the main house cleaning. To get a better idea of how long it took, the house is 4 bedrooms + living room, family room, kitchen, dining, 3 baths with carpeting in most of the house. Everything down to the window tracks and inside/out of all appliances was cleaned, so a lot of detail work. Very happy with the service!
When I began the project of getting the carpets on my upstairs replaced with laminate flooring, I shuddered with the complexity of what I was undertaking. First of all, I live on a floating home, and the closest parking lot is about 75 yds to my front door up and down a fairly steep ramp. Obstacle two was the stairway to my second floor is rather narrow and very steep. The third challenge was, upstairs, is both my bedroom, full of HEAVY log furniture, as well as my elaborate ( and BIG ) home theatre room, solid oak LARGE desk, book cases and other big and heavy furniture. The bottom line Chad and his second in command ( I believe it was Chris ) never stopped to so much as to blink when estimating the job and costs. Their bid was much MUCH lower than the next best bids. They showed up on schedule and attacked the project like two seasoned pros. Thats was what a nice person would say. Me, I saw it like ... two men "possessed". ;-) They had just two days to tear out all the old carpet, tack strips, and pad and haul that HUGE mess away ( up the ramps and across the parking lot ) and then to haul box after box, AFTER BOX, of laminate flooring from the parking lot, down the ramps, and down the walkway to my home and then up those narrow and steep stairs. UNBELIEVABLE !!!!! Oh lets not forget to mention all the HUGE power tools and table saws and other big equipment they have to do a remarkable and totally PROFESSIONAL JOB. They jumped on the job at 8 a.m. on a Thursday morning and worked well past 6 p.m. and then right back at it on Friday and by around 8 p.m., VOILA A MASTERPIECE. I have NEVER ever been more satisfied with a home remodel than with Chad Rayon and his company Start to Finish Construction. I would be delighted to call him back for any future remodeling work or project that would come up in the future, and would recommend him without the slightest reservation to both friends or family.
