Alison has been terrific to work with. We have used her in a few different capacities in the last 2 weeks...private chef for a dinner party, caterer for a holiday cocktail party and chef for delivered meals. Her food has been delicious, and she is really easy to work with. She is open to suggestions and will also give her opinion on what she thinks will work best depending on the event. She is quick to respond, always professional and reasonably priced. I plan on using her again and recommend you give her a try.
This year I found myself both single and retired. After 40 years of dining out or preparing pre-packaged Diet Food, I was at a loss as to how to cook nutritious, interesting and quick meals for one person. The delightful Bonnie Ward Strauss - with experience as a caterer, restaurateur, personal chef, and instructor - was eager to show me how easily I could cook a variety of meals for myself that are attractive, tasty and low-calorie. I took notes, creating a cookbook of sorts, filled with Bonnie's directions and hints about the best ingredients, cooking methods, and even grocery shopping. She let me observe sometimes; but also had me standing in front of her stove, making certain I could recreate her dishes in my own kitchen. Bonnie completely tailored my lessons to what I was hoping to achieve and the cooking skills I had at the time. She also encouraged me to experiment on my own and to look at food in a new way. It is obvious that she loves being a chef, and that she hopes other people will appreciate good food as much as she does. Bonnie is smart, kind and enthusiastic about cooking. I completely recommend her as an instructor. I also intend to take more classes with her in the very near future.

In my many years of knowing him, I have never had meal from Keith that wasn't delicious. Often I am craving his signature pizzas, pastas, and curries long after they're gone! Honestly, I owe all of my cooking skills to Keith's patient instructions. My home meals wouldn't be the same without him! Not only does Keith have menu-spanning cooking talents (from a variety of ethnic cuisines, themed parties, and even cooking lessons) but he is also wonderful to work with. His food is delicious, and he possesses an enthusiastic, easy-going, creative, and friendly personality that makes him fun to have in the kitchen. Alton Garcia made our wedding spread. My husband and I love Spanish food and after a consultation was with Garcia, it was decided that tapas style food would be had. There were whole roasted chicken, tortilla Espanola, whole grilled artichokes and various roasted veggies, mussels, cheeses & breads, and numerous sauces to pair with the food (think Romesco & aiolis), among other beautiful and well-thought-out foods. Our guests were amazed with the spread (we heard multiple times that it was the best wedding food ever), as were we. Garcia also made it very affordable for what was delivered. It also doesn't hurt that Garcia is a sweet man and a pleasure to work with. I recommend him highly.

Neil is a very knowledgeable chef that takes professionalism seriously while having a fun time teaching cooking techniques. I learned a variety of things during our session which ranged from proper techniques, kitchen science as well as helpful hints. Neil is punctual, responsive and great to work with.
I contacted Steffi with fatigue and digestive issues that have been plaguing me for years. She responded immediately with an array of situational questions to diagnose accurately. Just that step alone started the realization process of my sugar induced crash and burn diet. She developed a personal plan to cut my sugar, increase water consumption, and healthy ways to get thru my swing shift work schedule. She also introduced bitters for digestion including recipes to make my own. (I have made and still use daily.) This literately changed my life. I'm lactose and gluten intolerant and have trouble digesting most food combinations. With the aid of bitters, I actually feel my stomach working again. I'm now not afraid to eat hearty meals, which was the cyclic problem of amping up on carbs for energy. Steffi checked in often and made me feel truly important with one on one guidance.
I wouldn’t change a thing about my interactions with Sage and Linda. Professional, personable, responsive and the food was delicious. My choices were all interesting and creative and the final meal was outstanding. I will be telling my friends about Sage and they will definitely be my first call if I’m looking for a personal chef in the future!
Dee is a fantastic cook, and her expertise and experience in cooking Latin and Caribbean cuisine comes straight from the heart. Her tamales and jerk chicken are especially delicious, and will leave you wanting more. I would highly recommend attending one of her cooking classes!
I was lucky enough to be in the guinea pig program for some of Chef Diane’s recipes. Great flavors, real ingredients and a vegan twist on traditional southernm food makes for a great option for those on the go or with little cooking experience. Great overall value for anyone looking to take the night, or week off from cooking!
Brittany Baldwin of Portland Home Chef is an inspiring and encouraging teacher. She listened to what my needs, objectives, fears and competencies/challenges are and then created a learning menu designed to give me just what I needed. I wish I could have her in my home every night cooking with me! I came away from our session empowered about my capacity to prepare delicious, nourishing food for my son and me. I have new skills and insights--and recipes--and a renewed sense of fun about being in my kitchen. And now, every time my son (who is 2) eats something that tastes good, he asks if Brittany has prepared it. Plus, Brittany is a wonderful, easygoing person who is just enjoyable to have in your kitchen. This is an extraordinary value.
We have not yet worked together (we will in a couple of weeks), but Chance's phone call was outstanding and he has a real feel for what I want. Can't wait to work with him!
