I got a ton of contractors out to quote the job and ALFA Home Improvements were by far the most genuine, experienced, affordable, and prepared contractor. I couldn’t recommend them more for any home improvements you may have. I will definitely use them on future projects!"See more

I had one non-load bearing wall removed and another one added. As well as some electrical done. Adam and team were always responsive and hard working. We were originally quoted this to be a 5-7 day project which it turned out to be 10. However, I am not to put all the blame on TGR since the electrician sub had 4 no shows through out that two weeks which slowed things down. Overal one of the more pleasant experiences I’ve had hiring companies through this app. Thanks again Dale and Adam!"See more

This contractor totally transformed a dark, garage laundry room into a beautiful, bright bathroom. He was very eager to start the project and was flexible and responsive to communication. The bid was very fair and he stuck to the price, even though the project took a little longer to finish due to some unforeseen flooring issues. Jorge and Jacier we’re amazing! Right from the beginning, they listened carefully and followed through with excellent craftsmanship, as well as good ideas of their own when a decision point came along. They were professional, punctual, and flexible and quite frankly, they are the most honest and nicest folks that we ran across while looking for contractors. During the course of the project, there were the usual bumps in the road that occur with some thing as big as a full Kitchen renovation. However, they took them in stride, were able to handle the changes and always produced an excellent product. There are hard workers, and as I mentioned, extremely honest and reliable. I recommend them without reservation!

Imagine being a new homeowner and in less than a year you have a major flood in your house. That happened to us! We were left homeless for 3 months due to the damage. Dealing with the insurance company, adjusters, contractors and having to rehome our cats while our dog adjusted to every hotel we got sent to, it was extremely stressful. Then I reached out to Luis... he brought so much peace into our lives and we are so thankful we found him. He talked to insurance, dealt with the adjuster, gave a fair and timely estimate and got started, piecing our home back together. He also helped us reimagine our home and was so patient with us as my husband and I would go back and forth debating on paint colors and types of knobs for the cabinets. The whole experience with Luis, his employees and the vendors he suggested made the potential nightmare of renovation and repair a dream. We truly are living our dream as we walk on our new flooring, make memories in our open kitchen that can fit all of our family members and walk into our bathrooms. Luis and his team transformed our awkward and dated upstairs bathroom into an airy and spa-like retreat, and we couldn’t be more pleased. This was our first home renovation and we keep wondering why people say remodeling is stressful because Luis truly made this process easy for us. We had interviewed many contractors and felt like they were either over-priced and/or booked out and/or we didn’t feel we could trust them. Luis showed up at our doorstep the same day I contacted him and he was a breath of fresh air. He offered some great solutions to a few of the problems we were having with our envisioned layout and provided a reasonable quote and an attractive timeline. They got started on our project earlier than expected which was a big bonus for us, and throughout the project he was very communicative and easy to work with. He is thorough and knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with each stage of the project. His eye for detail is greatly appreciated. His crew and all his subcontractors were incredibly respectful. They showed up on time and worked hard, kept the place clean and kept out of the way, and most importantly, they were friendly to the dog! Ultimately, Luis made our vision a reality - and one that is even better than what we could have hoped for. We can’t wait to work with him on the next project!

Joe De Marco landed in my life via Thumbtack, and what an amazing stroke of luck that was! I’d been debating making an offer on a house for sale, but it was going to need extensive remodeling before I could move in. And without knowing what was possible, or what the renovations might cost, I wasn’t sure what to offer on the house itself or if I could even afford everything I had in mind. Though I’ve owned two, I really know almost *nothing* about houses--and less about the actual work that contractors do. I was an easy mark, in other words, and Joe could have taken me right to the cleaners! Instead, at a time when other local contractors can’t even be bothered to answer their phone, Joe De Marco got back to me right away, spent 90 minutes at the house with me explaining every single detail, and had an estimate for me within 24 hours! And I didn’t even own the house, which means Joe did all that work pro bono. He came up with creative and affordable solutions to every problem I threw his way, and taught me an awful lot in the process. Ultimately, I decided not to buy the house, in large part because of what I learned through Joe. He could have lied to me and taken my life’s savings, and I’d have been none the wiser. But instead, he was honest and patient and down-to-earth, the kind of guy I know I can *trust*.
