I took piano lessons as a kid and vocal lessons through middle school and high school in a small rural town two hours from Pittsburgh. After a year of feeling a little lonely in a new city by myself I decided I wanted to take a piano and singing lesson once a week just for something to do and to keep myself "in singing shape". I found thumbtack, answered all the questions, and waited for emails from music teachers to come through. The next day I had multiple responses but Rossi Music Studio was the first I opened up and I called immediately after reading it. Even though I was very excited, I never saw myself driving a little over an hour three days a week to work with Joe a few hours a day. I never thought I could find so much amazing talent in one place, even the 7 and 8 year olds have incredible singing voices. Rossi Music Studio's curriculum is so cutting-edge that I can't believe how much I've grown in the short period of time in range, vocal agility, and tone. After a month I don't even recognize my voice and I am realizing what an awesome future I have to look forward to. Pittsburgh is very lucky to have Smokin' Joe and his amazing talent. He genuinely wants the best for each student and puts all of his heart into each lesson. He brings out THE BEST and more in each of his students.
I'm happy I decided to start taking guitar lessons. The teacher is friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient. I feel like I've learned a lot and I look forward to learning more. Lessons are reasonably priced and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
Emily has been providing weekly violin lessons to our 11-year-old for the last 9 months. Her skill and interest in playing the violin have grown immensely since they have been working together. Our daughter looks forward to her lessons and says Emily is strict but she is really, really fun.
I had two lessons with Erli. I have just purchased a Yamaha DGX-660, and he showed me how to use the various functions of the machine. Both the piano and he are wonderful.
My daughter is 7 and she really enjoys her time with her violin teacher. She is pleasant, patient and professional with my daughter. I notice that my daughter has grown as a musician and that is all thanks to Larissa. She demonstrates that she has the technique and skills to work with young kids.
Ashley challenges my daughter while also making her lessons fun. Ashley seeks out developmentally appropriate pieces for both technical and performance-based skills. My daughter has gained confidence with and commitment to her violin in the year that she has worked with Ashley.
We love Jean and New Song. My daughter is 8 and just starting singing lessons and Jean has been wonderful. I can't say enough good things about her and about the school. It's fun and casual but my daughter is learning a lot. Perfect!
I've had violin lessons from Jen for a little over two years now, and I continue to be impressed by her patience, innovative teaching, and technical skill. Her enthusiasm for music and teaching were clear from day one. She is flexible, thoughtful, and clear in her instructions; she is careful to keep our practice varied but moving forward. I really appreciate her attention to all parts of playing violin - from music theory to developing my ear, from scales to recitals. I can't recommend Jennifer highly enough.
Would HIGHLY recommend. Very patient with my 9 year old daughter.
Lisa was very prompt in getting back to me...Alauna is very excited about her lessons, and we look forward to working with Lisa and her company.
I highly recommend Mr. Sonne as a violin teacher. My son has made significant strides under his tutelage. While his mastery of the material and discipline is obvious, it's his sensitivity to individual needs, patience, flexibility in trying different approaches and establishing rapport with his students that truly sets him apart.
Louise is a fantastic and encouraging instructor. I have had 3 lessons so far and feel I am learning a lot from her.
I honestly couldn't be happier. The individual instruction is so amazing. There are group sessions once a month that are beneficial for performers. My son is so motivated now! The teacher lets me sit in on the lessons and I'm so impressed!

I teach piano, viola, voice, flute and saxophone. I formally taught at the Kikuchi Music Institute on the North Side in Pittsburgh, PA for 8 years. I recently purchased a mobile home and totally remodeled it. I am currently looking for new students in the area.
We go above and beyond expectations in AND out of the studio. The Givi School of Music provides optional performance opportunities throughout the year.
I provide violin lessons to students of all skill levels. Students ages four to adults are welcome. I draw from the Suzuki method, Barbara Barber, and several other schools of violin playing. Whether you are seeking out individualized instruction and have specific goals, or want to explore the violin as a hobby, I'm here to help! I believe that you are never too young and never too old to learn an instrument. Getting started can sometimes be the hardest part, and that's what I'm here for.
