Nikki C. says, "Mr. Angelo is a highly talented music teacher who plays multiple instruments, including drums, guitar, and piano. He has been the perfect teacher for our son for over three years. He is attentive, patient, and truly knows how to engage his students. Our son began lessons on a three-string guitar, progressed to five strings, and now also practices on a drum pad. During each lesson, Mr. Angelo takes the time to answer questions and provides helpful homework to practice between sessions. When our son becomes distracted, he knows how to refocus him and clearly explains the “why” behind each exercise. Since starting lessons, our son’s confidence has grown tremendously. He has learned how to read music, which has benefited him at school—first with the recorder and now with the saxophone as a member of the school band. He makes learning jazz piano and music theory really easeful, tailors his lessons to what you’re interested in (instead of a rote set of exercises) and managed to always find me exactly what I was interested in doing even if it was esoteric, and was really encouraging and positive. My goal was to get a thorough grounding in music theory and learn how to arrange piano for my own songs, and I was amazed how easily it came with his instruction after years of wandering through pop piano on my own.
